While Queen Cheorin, King Cheoljong, Queen Sunwon, Queen Dowager Jo are real historical figures and these characters in this drama mentioned many sexual word/innuendoes too so it will be see as trying to give bad image to Korea history.

That's why I mentioned earlier that I wish the screenwriter wrote this drama settings based on the fantasy kingdom in historical time instead. Even if there are any complaint, at least it will not get edit because it is irrelevant with the real history.

I'm enjoying this drama so much right now. The secrets and hidden agendas of the main leads and second leads made this drama more interesting other than Bong Hwan antics while he trying to fit himself in the queen body.

I like the queen aka Bong Hwan funny silly character after his soul entered her body, I like the duality of king character and the concubine because she seem not too evil neither too nice. And it seems the second male lead character will be revealed in the later episode.

I'm so happy that Shin Hye Sun and Kim Jung Hyun were chosen as the main casts. Not only they have good acting skills, they also have great chemistry with each other.

But I read today a news in Indonesian language that some of the Korean viewer complained about this drama and it will be reviewed. They are not complaining about the homosexuality issue or like that but they complained about Korean history that according to them were "distorted" and the use of sexual word in this drama.

I can't speak about the Korean history whatnot since I'm not a Korean myself, but if they cut out the history part and the some "sexual" word, then this drama plot will be kinda disjointed and not flow smoothly since those part are important in this drama, right?

The reason I'm excited for this drama other than Kim So Hyun is the main female lead is because of the costumes haha. Usually Korean dramas in the historical genre are based on the Joseon era. This time it is Goguryeo era.

I read a comment mentioned in the twitter before that the original novel is a female centered plot so no wonder if the script is like that.

Other than Zhao Lu Si is one of my favorite actress, the reason I'm so excited when I read that Zhao Lu Si will act as the main female lead in this drama is because the female centered plot.

Many Chinese dramas of historical romance that I watch are usually male centered although not all, sometimes make the main female lead too ridiculous and take stupid decisions.

It is a pity when the actress has to act based on the character in the script like that and the one who will get trash and insult from the viewer is the main female lead. Some viewer even mentioned that they couldn't watch dramas with genre mainly about romance because most main female lead in romance genre will irritate the viewer with their stupid character and decision in the dramas.

So even if this drama script will get change to not be too female centered, I hope it won't change to be too male centered either. I'm really really hope it will be balance.

An advises before you start watching Thai lakorn (they are called lakorn in Thai, which means drama, so Thai lakorn = Thai drama), they are more dramatic and over-the-top than Korean/Chinese/Japanese dramas especially the one tagged with slap/kiss genre like this drama LOL.

I don't know about Thai languages and feel weird with Thai names too at first but I'm learning about them slooowlyyy since get addicted after watching their lakorn. I'm just wondering, if one day they want to do a Korean version of Goodbye My Princess, who do you think will be the suitable actors and actresses for the role of Li Cheng Yin, Xiao Feng, Gu Jian & Ah Du?

I love really the main couple performance and chemistry together in this Goodbye My Princess. Peng Xiao Ran fit the Xiao Feng's role to a tee. She truly looks like a beautiful and carefree princess from Western Liang. Same with Chen Xing Xu. He can be boyish, playful Gu Xiao Wu and the scheming Li Cheng Yin.

In my opinions, Chinese historical dramas are usually more visually stunning than Korean historical dramas. They have beautiful settings and images, sophisticated clothes and costumes and if the good looking Chinese actors and actresses act in historical dramas, they become more good looking with the gorgeous costumes and hairstyle (well except that hideous Qing dynasty hairstyle for men LOL).

And not to mention that Korean dramas like to make their historical dramas based on Joseon dynasty. I want to see the costumes of other Korean dynasties too LOL

This is one of the reason that make me anticipating the Korean historical drama, River Of Moon Rises with Kim So Hyun and Ji Soo as the main leads since it based on Goguryeo dynasty.

I understand your frustration. I am Zheng Ye Cheng's fan since Love 020 (2016) and he can does passionate kiss for his dramas.

But sadly, that is Ju Jing Yi's policy from some of her fan comments that I read. I first know Ju Jing Yi from her drama Legend Of Yun Xi. Just like Esther Yu. I also know her as one of Chinese celebrities from her dramas. If they don't act in dramas I will not know them since I'm more actor & actress fan than singer's fan in general haha

I don't think Janice Wu and Zhao Lu Si have that policy. It may because of the drama scripts for the dramas that they act with Zheng Ye Cheng or the director instructed to be like that. I watch their others dramas and they can do kiss scenes just fine in their dramas.

I'm just hoping that Zheng Ye Cheng can guides her for the kiss scene and who know, for once she might agrees for passionate kiss in this drama LOL

I don't care about rating when watching dramas. When I'm choosing what dramas to watch, I look at the plot summary, drama's genre, screenwriter past works, main actor & actress.

There are so many dramas with low rating that I enjoyed and dramas with high rating but I feel it just ok but not great LOL

Anyway I'm watching this drama and I feel it not that bad. It is not that I want to discredit the drama, I just want to inform the info relating to this drama but maybe not appropriate. I'm sorry.

You just describe the summary about 90% of revenge Thai lakorn. Everyone is messed up ahahaha

If look at the soul/spirit it is a BL couple because Chef (Choi Jin Hyuk) & King (Kim Jung Hyun) but the physical/body is a straight couple because Queen (Shin Hye Sun) & King (Kim Jung Hyun).

And yes, the king real historical ending is a tragedy.
