Just a moment ... the trailer definitely shows us a "girlfriend", indeed "Solo's fiancée". What's this all about?…
Well, Friend Zone was never a BL to begin with. The leads were and are straight, while some supporting characters are gay and bi.

But i do get your frustration, still, it's not unrealistic for gay men to date women before they come to terms with their sexuality, and despite what a lot of BL makes many people think, being gay/bi isn't fully accepted in Thai society, so a lot of times these female characters represent the temptation of being "normal"and easily accepted byn one's family and culture.

Buuut on the other, that's just thai dramas for you. You almost always have to have a nang'rai. They're just expected in literally everything.

based on the first few eps, yes! It is funny and the male lead is my new favourite character xDidk how they're…
Oh, I highly recommend it if you like romance! It was so good, and had both a lot of comedy and was very suspenseful too!

Look, were we all fooled as to what this drama was going to be? Absolutely. Is it clearly a more complex story about the legacy of these two women and their endless cycle of revenge hurting the innocent? Totally.

Does that mean that it is a secretly good drama if you understand what it's supposed to actually be about?

Absolutely effing not.

This drama was a mess, no matter what the theme was. I complained about it earlier, and those comments still stand. I dipped out and won't go back thanks to the feed back provided here.

THERE WERE THREE SEPARATE AMUSEMENT PARK SCENES

2 with the came couple. What even.

This thing was such a mess. They tried to tell a meaningful story while trading on the massive popularity and growing popularity of the male cast, and it just ended up being confused and frustrating and no one had the chemistry they should of. Bie and Fah had a few moments, but overall their actual characters didn't really connect or make any sense together. It just....left me cold. There was a lot they could've done with this plot and they did not. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone for any reason.

If you want to watch Bie, go watch My Girlfriend is an Alien.

If you want to see Joss, go watch 3 Will Be Free and Game Rak Ao Kuen (but only with the alt ending!)

If you want Fon, go watch Boy For Rent (but you might want to skip half the scenes because the other lead female is honestly terrible - not entirely the actresses fault, she's just an awful character)

If you want to watch Off, literally watch anything else he's been in.

Just...avoid this one. Trust me. There are soooooo many better lakorns out there. So. Many.
On Fah Mee Tawan Sep 26, 2020
Wow, I just powered through 4 eps and I want more! I'm really wondering why in the world his father has denied him for so long...it HAS to be manipulation from the nang'rai! He seems like such a softy.

It is frustrating how seemingly weak the nang'ek is, but let's not forget she grew up abused by the person she thinks she owes her life to. It's normal for abused children to back down to their abusers and still love them. Hopefully she will find the strength to stand up for herself or at least get away.

Does anyone else absolutely adore the doctor? What a sweet puppy!

I really hope the writers give her good character development but this drama is directed by the same person who…
OMG yes. IDEA:

Pair him with Mookda for that kind of role! Think something like Yuttakarn Prab Nang Marn, where the nang'ek is tough and full of fire! I'm so in love with Mookda's strength in all her recent roles!

Okay, clearly that description is a direct translation and needs updating lol.

So basically our leads are servants for two different hi-so's. When they meet, they both pretend to be hi-so and hit it off. Each of their employers ends up falling for each of them. (One is a play boy, the other a really simple, innocent princess type). Buuut, it looks like our leads *also* ultimately fall for each other after getting married to the real hi-so's.

...something like that. Looks like a dramatic messy love quadrangle and I'm here for it!

Yess you are right. I'm hoping it to be a bit different. Both of them are making their enemy's daughter fall in…
Hrmmm, they go through a lot in Innocent Man, but it's one of my favorites of all time. Ma Ru is so intensely faithful once he falls. He's an amazing character <3

Agree on the Huajai Sila note, though. That's more about Sila trying to keep the nang'ek separate from his revenge, since he already loves her. (Similar to Rareng Fai with Ken and Nune)

OMG SAME and also with Prom Pisawat he was a monster that didn't even have enough motivation to be one! (Grr my dad left my mom but she's fine and still rich; I'm just bummed about it what???)

Like can they please give Boom more quality roles? Not everything from Channel 7 is trash!

Which is the best slap/kiss lakorn you have seen?can you suggest some good lakorns.
The absolute best imo is forever Sawan Biang 2008. I have never seen a Thai actor reach the level of nuance and intensity Ken does, Anne is amazing, the chemistry is on fire and everything feels very very real. It also has some of the tightest writing I've ever seen in a lakorn. That being said, it also has some of the most terrible treatment of a nang'ek, as far as emotional and physical abuse and assault is considered. It's just one big trigger warning, but if you can get past it (or if it's a thing you enjoy from a fantasy pov), it is absolutely incredible. It also still has one of the most complex, interesting, and ultimately empathetic nang'rai's in any lakorn ever and that on its own is sooooooo rare.

For the best Slap/Kiss without assault, I would go with Kluen Cheewit. Mark is nearly at Ken's level and Yaya is AMAZING. Again, excellent chemistry, a fantastic storyline, and there isn't even a nang'rai after the pra'ek, which is so refreshing. The evolution of the nang'ek's relationship with her mother is also great. This was the first slap/kiss that actually made me cry.

I also really really loved Game Rak Game Rai with Yaya and Nadech. Fire chemistry, fantastic performances, and the love story is built up so beautifully before the actual slap/kiss plot starts.

Oh, and Raeng Ngao 2012 is soooo good! The female is the one taking revenge but not on the male lead - who is a sweet fully supportive wonderful guy (except sorry there is an assault that comes out of gotdang nowhere). Still it's amazing. They build you up in the first half so that you are just 10000% for all the crazy things the Nang'ek does in her quest for vengeance. Also again, no nang'rai out for the male lead which is so great every time!

Rareng Fai too - Ken and Nune. Strong female lead and a male lead that is set on revenge, but loves her so much that he tries to remove her from it so he doesn't hurt her. No assault.

btw, Joss (from this drama) was the lead in a recent drama called Game Rak Ao Kuen, which I also super recommend, just make sure you watch the second version of the final episode, because the first one. was teeerrible lol

Finally, they aren't actually slap/kiss, but if you want slap/kiss feels in super exciting series with great fight scenes and great romance, both Kom Faek and Samptan Huajai are two of my all-time favorites.

This is a remake and there are so many ways they could've cleaned up the story and made the pra'ek more empathetic and tolerable, and they just...did not.

Fon and Joss are adorable, but weirdly sanitized and it's hard to feel the connection beyond them clearly being super good friends irl and on screen. The lack of real skinship is def not helping that either, especially since I'm used to both of them doing more in their previous roles.

Off is killing it. I really enjoy his story line, and the character development and healing going on between Him, and Pipi, and her mom.

Bie is fantastic. He's working with what they gave him, which unfortunately just...isn't great. Infidelity is a hard sell for me, but like I said, I think they could've reworked the story, cut out some scenes, added more interaction between Ben and Fah, and showed us how Ben really was changing and realizing he was wrong. As it stands, I feel like we got sad and regretful without an ounce of real self-reflection, so....that sucks. I've seen about a million slap/kisses and their remakes, and this just isn't top tier for me.

Overall, not one I'll rewatch and not GMMs best. But I'll stick it out for our inevitable happy ending, just to get some closure. I do hope I see Bie again though. He's really really good and I'd like to see him in a drama I can enjoy more. Definitely gonna check out the more popular Chinese one he did, though a shame it doesn't have his absolutely beautiful voice. I was really struck by that smooth, soft tone!

the character development is great though, thats why is I still keep watching. Im curious how the writer will…
Okaaaay, so I just caught up and lol, I'm sorry. I did enjoy moments of Ben, because the actor is great and I want to see him more, but to call him one of the best leads when I've seen soooooo many way better characters.

He definitely does show growth and you can see how is feelings develop, but I think the pacing wasn't done as well as it could have been, and the fact that he continued sleeping with the mom after consummating the marriage with the nang'ek was uuuuugh.

Everyone has their lines. I can handle the forceful angry pra'eks, but infidelity is really really hard for me. And seriously, WHAT was his end game? Did he really think he could just have some stupid fun and then move on and bury it? He was so stupid, it was hard to even empathize with him, and he really only stops things because he realizes he's been banging a monster - not because of his conflicted feelings.

I think the drama could've done a lot better to cut out half the scenes of infidelity and pumped up those moments between our leads that actually shows their chemistry and how they were falling for each other.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still here for Ben fixing things and us getting a happy ending, but to put him in the ranks of the best pra'eks....naw. Even is slap/kiss, there are way better. (Sila in Huajai Sila, anyone? Pong in Game Rak Ao Kuen? Mark's character in Kluen Cheewit?)

Meanwhile, I'm enjoying Off's story, but couldn't believe that Joss and Fon got cheated out of real kiss, considering their previous rolls and experience. Such a weird choice, I'm still not sure why they made it.

yeah thats to be expected in thai lakorns. But not so much here to be honest
It is indeed an issue in Thai culture. Things have gotten a little bit better over the years and it's exaggerated in this genre (slap/kiss), but it's still a major problem. The Judgement, which is on Netflix, is a really good far more realistic look at the issue, if you want to know more. big ol' trigger warning though, because it's about a rape.

Well damn want to watch but going to have to wait hopefully I will find it somewhere..And yes I know where it…
Years ago, they freely posted their subs for everyone, however they got a cease and desist. They moved to another service, and once again got hit. They ended up ONLY having the option of having their own site fully and limiting access to people they could trust not to reupload all over the place. To do that, they have to pay for server space, so they need supporters to help them cover that hefty bill. There is no minimum, just what you feel like you want to give, and it lasts for...seemingly forever, until they run out of money for server space, and need help again. They still make projects available publicly after they've fully aired and lawsuits don't seem likely.

It is completely up to each individual if they want to financially support subbers for the many many hours they put into letting us watch our favorite shows, but I really don't think it is a lot to ask at all.

And in the "old days" it wasn't remotely rare for fansubbers to ask for donations, since back then they HAD to host them on their own server space.
