This show is sooooo fun! The comedy is on point, the acting is charming, and the action is cool! I thought it was going to be a low-budget, comedic idol web drama when watching the first few episodes, but they're going all out!
Wang Ye is really the best character ❤️ Hou Ming Hao is ❤️
I'm super annoyed by the team who did the poster... I feel like it's kind of a huge "spoiler". Especially after…
The dad's actor has his face on the poster... Now that we know that the killer knew the parents and didn't come to the house to kill them, but "ended up" killing them.
I feel like the "fire" man is the dad's twin. Maybe the dad killed the mom, and seeing that, the "fire" guy killed his brother. Idk why he kidnapped his nephew though. Because he could have said, "the killer has the same face as my dad"?
Anyway, the fact that the dad is on the poster means that the character has still a big part to play, even though we saw him already dead. As the kids are twins, it wouldn't be a surprise if the dad is a twin too.
Very cute first 2 episodes. The main duo is endearing, they're both pretty weird.
For such a sad situation, the atmosphere is not dark at all. The niece is not open with her sadness, and the uncle has 0 emotional intelligence. They're acting like they're just chilling for summer vacation.
I'm sure the emotions will explode at some point in the drama, but at the moment, everything is just sweet. Love it.
I'm not surprised that a lot of people seems to be so into the 2nd and 3rd couples, as their previous show is more recent, and their characters/stories very cute/tragic.
They are good! Nothing to say here. The 2nd couple is very cute, 3rd couple very well played and interesting individual storylines.
But the main couple is for me what truly gave Moonlight Chicken it's different feeling. The realistic, true feeling of the show. They don't have that flashy romance, the cute scenes or the overly sexually tense one (except for the first episode, before they fell in love).
They both look at each other lovingly when the other isn't looking, which is not new in BL, but the way they look into each other eyes is what gets me. They just look, smile, and rarely it goes into a kiss, but it feels like one.
The love felt adult, the one you have when you sit with your partner and talk about struggle and life. You don't fall in love because they save you from falling down a cliff, or because they're the popular student who cares about the nerdy one that nobody loves. You fall in love because he sit next to you, listen, look into your eyes and tells the right words to make it all right.
Definitely not a drama for everybody, but I was positively surprised. I enjoyed it a lot.
It is a little funny though, now I understand the feelings of lawyers watching legal dramas, and doctors watching medical ones. Now that I saw a "business" drama, it is very funny how people 20 years of experience are given lessons on the most basic stuff taught in 2nd year of business school. I know it is normal, and it is actually a way to teach the audience, but watching an experienced businessman acting clueless on the most basic of business tactics is fun.
The "case of week" is fun, acting is not bad at all and the characters are charming. Nice surprise!
Very disappointed. I tried to put it on hold, thinking I was just not in the mood for the drama, but I finished it months later and I still have the same opinion : boring.
With YamaYuki, Fumiya, and Mada Oshiro, I have no problem, Kawamura Hana was also a nice surprise, but the rest of the cast feels too green for main roles, and when so much screen time is given to actors who get the spotlight taken the second other less important/interesting characters appear next to them, it is a shame :/
The story has no interesting character except for Aoi-sensei. Junpei is saved by his actor, and Manaka is embarrassing to watch. His character is teased so much as the most brilliant, and manipulative of the bunch, and we end up with a sad brat. That's all. No interesting backstory or dialogue for him the second he has a central episode; he becomes SO boring. Even Fumiya's looks cannot save the way his character is written.
The scenario itself is also boring as hell. There's absolutely no interesting episode or case. Or at least it was given in such an uninteresting way that I missed it.
Tbh, I don't think it's a TERRIBLE drama. It is actually SO basic that it cannot be terrible.
Nice movie. I think I just expected something more? The title was just so interesting I felt it was going to be more than a youth romance story, but it was that.
Not a bad movie at all, but don't expect something "new". The acting is really the highlight of the movie, though.
(I only decided to go watch it after seeing the cast, the poster and the title, with no other information, now that I watch the trailer, it was obviously going to be a full romance XD)
It was surprisingly really fun? I was excepting the basic high school romance movie, with its cute moments, way too dramatic third part, and nonexistent secondary characters, but it was not.
It doesn't reinvent the genre or anything, it was just a really good-quality high-school romance. And it's an original story, so it does not feel rushed, and everything/everybody that gets introduced actually gets a spotlight and a conclusion.
I saw it was almost 2 hours only when we were in the theater, and I remember thinking "oh no... it's gonna be long", but no, it was fun until the end and passed fast.
Nogi Yusuke graduated from Colombia University and works at a Japanese company as a lower level manager?
In the first part of the first episode, it was already said he was pretty much bad at his job. (+ plus it's a very very big company, not just a random one)
Will they force a tasteless love triangle on us? Maybe they'll change his character to be more likeable?
'cause on the original he is NOT a second lead...
Edit : I need to check before posting comment, I mixed webtoons up.

I only saw that he did not come wanting to kill them, as he took off his shoes, but ended up killing "them".
Then yes, though idk if he's really a "second lead".
He's someone who's part of the heroine's storyline. His role is very nice ! Super charming.

You'll find it nowhere before that.
