Hi. I agree with you. In my perception, Dylan and Bambi would have much better chemistry if they were a Tom and Jerry couple in a modern drama. I prefer seeing their offscreen interactions and them in the Feng Chenyue part (because in that part, their chemistry stood out).

True! I'm almost finishing the show, so I can definitely say that Yanlin+Yitong's story is the best, followed by Neo+Chaoyue. My favorite cp is Neo+Chaoyue, followed by Yanlin+Yitong (can't ship them now as Yanlin's married).

As I've seen most of the episode of the Yitong+Yanlin story, I actually agree with you. No cheesy characters, dialogues, and scenes. The reason why their story stands out the most.

As I've said before, considering my age, I'm not so experienced in life unlike you, and I've seen a lot of cheesy stuff as a grew up. Which is why seeing realistic things are a refresher to me.
And I hope Neo+Chaoyue do a drama together 🥰 again, they'll start bickering lol 🤣🤣

According to me, the contrast between Neo+Chaoyue is actually the fun part of their pairing. They are (as I'm currently watching it) the most entertaining pair. And the more it progresses, the more outspoken Neo gets, because even he answers back whenever they're bickering in a higher voice tone 🤣 and their interactions seemed the most natural to me.

I don't skip Jasper+Lan. I want to give them a chance but I don't see that much of spark btw them, as in yeah, they have good chemistry, but not as good as the other two couples. I liked Qin Lan better with Dylan. Their pairing doesn't seem like a 19 year age gap though. And their interactions (in the bts scenes) are less staged as compared to Jasper+Lan. I liked DD and Qin Lan, though I don't ship them as actual people, only as fictional characters bc I don't think they're interested in each other romantically. Qin Lan is a mentor and Jiejie to DD, while DD is like a little bro to her (so only he's allowed to call her Lan jie lol 🤣). Well, that's me.

And I don't blame Jasper+Lan though. Maybe the producers are telling them to act a certain way or something so that the show could sell. It can be a possibility. I think this happens in a lot of variety shows.

And the reason why I like Neo+Chaoyue the most is because their interactions are less staged and the most natural. Them bickering all the time is so entertaining that I'd watch them again and again and I'd be in splits 🤣🤣 They stand out as a cp. Following this is Yitong+Yanlin. Though they don't bicker in general, but at least they are natural. Their interactions are more like bffs than a romantic couple, obviously because Wang Yanlin already had a gf, and he's married to her now (with DD being one of the best men, as Yanlin and Didi are great friends). Tbh, one episode of Neo+Chaoyue and Yitong+Yanlin is enough for me (i said this here in my comment).

Ik. You said that you're older. But I'm a teen, so I'm not that experienced obviously. It shows that people's perceptions are different based on what they have experienced. You like cheesy stuff because it's escapism to you, while I like real stuff because I've seen enough cheesy stuff, or maybe it's more refreshing to see stories of ordinary people. My favourite couple is Neo+Chaoyue. Second favourite is Yanlin+Yitong. Their interactions are natural. Neo+Chaoyue are a fun watch offscreen tho 🤣 and Yanlin is naturally funny, not shipping Yitong+Yanlin as Yanlin is already married to his longtime gf, but I do love their conversations on life.
Jasper+Lan are my least favourite out of the three. Finished episode 7 today, wathed Yanlin+Yitong and Neo+Chaoyue parts yesterday and Jasper+Lan part today. But in this episode, it seems obvious that their interactions in this episode is staged, as they acted all romantic, which is funny bc they aren't an actual couple. Not hating them though, they have good chemistry and teamwork, but all these interactions......

It's ok. I'm more into realistic stuff than cheesy stuff. Which is why I like Yanlin+Yitong's story. And I'm no aunty I'm a teenager.

Yes. If more time was given, then this would have been a better story. There were plotholes, but overall it's a decent watch.

Yeah. The viewer should be patient to watch this kind of drama. It does get better as it progersses though.

Only the Feng Chenyue (general) part was interesting. Other lifetimes were meh. In that part, the main cp had the best chemistry.
And the SL cp parts were very interesting. Wish the writers wrote the main cp parts better.
The actors did a decent job.

You should also watch Wang Yanlin and Li Yitong's story. For me, their story stands out. I also love Neo+Chaoyue.
