It's ok. I respect your opinion. I am a big fan of Dylan, so I follow him a lot. He played Daoming Si, the main lead in the 2018 reboot of Meteor Garden. Because of this, he was known for his "bad-boy" persona, which was there in Meteor Garden (his character is a far cry from Qi Xiao, if you were an avid fan of MG, then you wouldn't even think that he was the same guy who played Daoming Si!).

Yeah, that annoyed me too. But in the later episodes, Qi Xiao clears that she was his business partner, and Shen Ruoxin accepts that she misunderstood.

I recently finished this drama, and it's worth a watch. The romance develops gradually, so you'll have to be patient. The FL is strong and intelligent and does stand up for herself.

Agree with you 100%. Plus the romance is more like secondary in the drama. The main focus is on the struggles of every person due to societal pressures. And the slow-burn romance is also a charm in this drama, as it is more realistic compared to other dramas. Still, despite the age gap, the lead actors had great chemistry, on screen and off screen, and a great drama to watch.

Dylan Wang, the main actor, said many times that this character was out of his comfort zone, as their individual personalities differ from each other very much. And according to me, he also did a good job, as I didn't see any of his bad-boy aura which is is known for (in fact I didn't even see him as Dylan or Daoming Si!). Yes, Qin Lan is a veteran, so her acting is much more refined, but Dylan is also quite good for someone having less experience and also never going to an acting school. Plus Qin Lan was also like a mentor to Dylan and helped him improve. I think the cast equally performed well.

You have said it. This is a slow-burn romance, which makes sense because the main couple has a 12 year age gap in which the woman is older than the man. Plus Shen Ruoxin is a rationalist, so she would keep the age gap in mind, and her feelings for Qi Xiao gradually developed, and as you said, takes a while for her to realize her feelings for him. Also, Shen Ruoxin never actually fell in love, so she was also not so aware of how it feels like to be in love, while Qi Xiao was very sure about his feelings. And another thing I liked about this drama is that the man is not the stereotypical "hero" who would always save the girl. Instead, he was very supportive, sweet, and caring while having his own goals. The FL shined on her own.

There is no love triangle in this, and this is very different from Find Yourself, including the main leads. Andnthe romance is slow burn, it happens much later in the series. This is more focussed on life in general.

Thankfully the 2ML isn't like that! Xu Minjie accepted that Shen Ruoxin doesn't feel for him, and their relationship remained professional throughout the drama. And he was a good boss and mentor to her.

Yes exactly. I preferred Darren's version more than Kim Hyunjoong's one. Most of the time, Hyunjoong was mostly blank in BOF, whereas Darren showed some emption. Btw, he's improved a lot in My Unicorn Girl.

Yes, even I would call it a slice of life drama, although as of now I wouldn't relate because I'm a teen. Maybe if I get older then I could have a better understanding, but liking the drama overall. And I am watching it because of Dylan Wang, am a big fan of him since MG (from 2020 onwards) and I love the chemistry between the leads, despite the 19-20 year age gap.

Exact same thoughts! So far on episode 28 (reached the romance part yayyyy!!!) and the leads definitely have great chemistry 😍💕 and the story is interesting. Never binged many episodes in a short amount of time! And loved Di Di in this. Falling in love with cute Di Di now🥰
