Wtf with the date of release Is there anyone can tell me the release date?
Hate to break it to you, but if everything goes well, realistically (since they're still filming, and they need ~6 months for post-production, and an unknown time after that to get a license to air) this will probably get released between q4 of 2024 and q1 of 2025.
Agg I'm kinda angry with iQIYI releasing every other random costume drama but still not Story of Kunning Palace!! But on the other hand, the more they release, the less in the way for SOKP!
NOT another Wang You Shuo drama on MANGO TV!! :'((( I'm still waiting for someone else to do proper English subs for Dear Mr. Heavenly Fox and Young Blood Season 2!! :(
kisskh should calm with these paid promotions for K-dramas! I was actually contemplating on watching this when I first heard about it 'cause I like the matchmaking theme in a historical, but now after 5 different thought-salads "news articles" on it, I'm thoroughly and utterly disgusted!
Deities are not required for a drama to be considered a xianxia (though that's not to say they can't be present), in fact a typical xianxia would mostly have mortals in the mortal realm cultivating to achieve "immortality" (being super powerful and very difficult to kill, and living for centuries, etc., not necessarily ascending to the heavens).
Examples of typical xianxia would be Chinese Paladin/Legend of Sword and Fairy, and Jade Dynasty/Noble Aspirations.
