You missed on reading fanfiction maniacally (or even write it). Otherwise, you basically described me, and it's been a year, not just nine months!!

Hi cindia! The series covers the entirety of the novel, with some minor plot differences/skips that weren't in the drama & some extra plotlines (e.g. Yin Metal parts) that weren't in the novel. The ending is also slightly different, and there are some romantic moments (e.g. an EPIC love confession), as well as some... spicy scenes in the novel between the protagonists that were obviously left out in the series (due to censorship). Only time it's bothering me in dramas is when they don't have subs for the English parts.

Oh, I know many "Netflix Originals" aren't produced/created by Netflix. But many of those in the list doesn't even have the designation "Netflix Original" - at least not in my region (cause it sometimes differs by country)!!

And I 100% agree on Viki over Netflix subtitles.

It's the default date for MDL when we don't know the date, so not reliable...
You can try rewatching the Untamed, or try the Special Edition (there are some extended scenes between the leads there, and the scenes at the ending are arranged differently!)...
Or if you're trying to get over it, better to try something completely different, different country, different genre... Even something lousy lol :D

Can you be more specific? What kind of fanfics do you want to read? I'm kinda addicted to Mo Dao Zu Shi fanfics for about a year now LMAO, so I have read lots and lots of different ones!!!!....

" is this the only Chinese historical drama that has BL?" => Unfortunately yes! For now... Because plenty of BL novel adaptations are coming in the next months/years, after the Untamed's popularity! Until then, you can satisfy this urge with BL novels/comics/fanfiction I guess... :(

Funny story, I didn't even have a twitter account before The Untamed, only afterwards did I made a fan/stan account there, and now it's part of my mdzs/cql daily fanish activities lol!

Turn them off, leave them for the rewatch!! Btw, watching on Viki is always a good idea in my opinion, it probably has the best subs out there!

Oh, and also, there's an upcoming mobile game, lol!

Don't forget the Audio Drama, too!! (It's the most accurate adaptation of the novel)
