You got us, I'm feeling bored again of anything else I'm watching (except Joy of Life, the only other drama that I get excited when watching despite not being The Untamed), still feeling cheated that I have to wait a week for new episodes, so not paying for VIP cause I'd still have to wait anyway..
What about the blue star next to some people's name? What does it mean? Is this a new feature as well? (Also, thank you for the bigger cast photos I noticed today!!)
For people new to Chinese dramas, or dramas with lots of episodes in general, may I kindly suggest a "rule" I personally find very useful, "The rule of 20%" - before you decide if something is for you or not, watch at least 20% of its episodes!
So, in the case of The Untamed, the rule of 20% would mean at least 10 episodes.
Now, for a typical modern Korean drama of 16 episodes, that would mean 3-4 episodes, and isn't that usually how far people are willing to go with them to give them a chance before dropping them if doing so? But with the typically long Historical Chinese dramas (or any long dramas), 3 episodes are not enough to get the hang of it, so I suggest you be a little more patient, and you'll be rewarded in the end!
Feel free to adjust this "rule" according to your taste, patience, time, and attention span.
(Fyi, I'm not pressing anyone to do anything, and if you prefer to do other things with your time, by all means go for it! I'm just sharing something I think some may find useful.)
Who was the person that wrote the letter to Meng Yao's wife and was planning to expose him?
It was a woman who worked for his wife's mother, and she did it under the instruction of Nie Huaisang - Nie Huaisang was the one that wanted to expose and destroy Jin Guangyao, to revenge his big brother's death.
I kind of feel bad of you working on all these new features during the holiday season, you should rest & celebrate, and come back again refreshed after New Year! Besides that, this feature is a great start against spam/fake accounts!!
Thank you I agree. I would have brought in bisexual but these series just never seem to address that reality.…
And remember, bi doesn't mean "50/50", equally attracted to men & women, some of us are 60/40, or 70/30, or 20/80, it doesn't matter - the only definition for bisexuality is "being able to get attracted to more than one gender". (Sorry if this is irrelevant, I just needed to get this out! Bisexuals these days seems to get even more discriminated against, both by heterosexual and by homosexual people, and this needs to change!)

I'm still hopeful that this was just poor execution, and not the real intention of the writers. Bisexuality needs representation too, and as a bi person myself, I was really glad when I still thought this was the way the writers were taking the story - remember, Hao Ting stated he was sexually turned on both by his first girlfriend in the past and by Xi Gu, and not just having a girlfriend for social norms! They kinda eliminated that in the future, with him after 6 years never even having thought of having a boyfriend again, but I still think it was just a f***ed up way of showing him still being emotional about Xi Gu's death & not having the guts of fighting for another same-sex relationship, that he would probably have gone into half-hearted anyway if the guy "was not Xi Gu".
