Jiang YanLi called him A-Xian or XianXian as an endearment or a byname (in the same manner, she called Jiang Cheng "A-Cheng"), kind of like what a mother would call her child, she was the eldest & was considered something like a mother figure for Wei WuXian, beside being his sister (his ShiJie to be specific).

I was the one that added the tag "Romantic Subtext", and I think it perfectly describes this drama: The feelings are there, only subtle. Available primarily through the interactions between the characters, fiery looks, and sizzling chemistry, camera angles, editing & scene setup, and the usual tropes that one can find in romance dramas, and only secondly through the dialogues or the possible skin ship.

I thought they've brought her forth as a love interest of Jiang Cheng (never Wei Ying)!! Who in their right mind would see anything between her & Wei Ying?? And I wouldn't mind resurrecting her either, in the present time (not the flashbacks), so Jiang Cheng can have his happy ending, even though it's not cannon!!!

Right? The novel, the drama, the anime, the comic, fan-art on the internet, songs, fan-fiction, rewatching all drama episodes, reading the novel again, waiting for next episodes, waiting for season 2 of the donghua... Omfg am I going crazy?? :o

That's a question I'd like answered by the author of the novel, 'cause it isn't even clear in the novel what's the answer... At least not to me..

Viki has subbed up to episode 28 in great quality!! There are obscure sites over there that have raws up to 32 though!! (I can't help myself so I watched the raws, I'll rewatch them from the official sites once they're up & subbed of course to support this great drama!!)

It's on Chapter 100 of the novel, but I'd suggest you read the previous parts first to make more sense and/or to avoid huge spoilers!!

I think they're stealing the subs from other sites, but at least they have the raws 4 episodes forward.. Oh well, I think I'll still watch them, and then watch them again in good quality & great subs from the official team on Viki!
