I know what you mean Ars, that's why I decided to read the novel cause I really couldn't wait!! And I f@cking fell in love, it's now on my top 5 favourite novel/stories of all time!!!! *_*

I do, but haven't watched it yet, I'm hesitating because everyone says it ends on a cliffhanger & they won't make a season 2, I'd hate an incomplete ending!!! So I think I'll just read the novel instead, which I've heard is excellent!! Though I may be missing out, if nothing else because of Zhao Li Ying, I happened to like every drama she's in!

I don't mind on ever show them kissing, but Please!!!! Can they get together, pretty please!?!?!? I mean it's easy to imply things -- they do it all the time in other historical dramas with straight couples never kissing and having great chemistry, even implying they had sex without showing anything...
Also, are they gonna do the drunken Lan Zhan scenes???

I wish they did, I mean, after reading the novel I feel so bad for Jiang Cheng, if they get him a girlfriend or something in the drama so he's not that alone, without anyone to love (or to hate anymore), that would be great!!

I couldn't get past the first couple of episodes either at first, but then I was hooked!! ...As with any Chinese drama, I suggest you give it at least 5-10 episodes before you decide if it's your cup of tea or not..

Not as many as I would like, especially since the most recent ones are xianxia/more high fantasy, as opposed to wuxia/martial arts/kung fu...

Unfortunately it's the latter, personally I'd prefer if they were scattered throughout..

After watching a few episodes without even waiting for subs, I thought I'd check out the novel, in order to understand things better & see what the big deal is that everyone was blabbering about... Let me tell you, I'm so hooked, it's marvellous, and boy isn't the protagonist cool!! And super funny, and shameless, and smart & actually interesting.. But well, Xiao Zhan nailed it in his role (even though they've toned down the shameless part), not even mentioning how deadly handsome he is!! *_*

For me it's about 6 USD per month, whereas Basic is 3 USD, but I think it depends on the country you're residing..

It's been a while since a drama came along to make me obsessed since episode 1 so much I'm watching raw, lol, I hate you (love you) Untamed one :P

It was so out of character what happened, I can understand and accept sad endings, but why kill herself??? She could just leave him, and live her life, why would a rational and talented woman like her kill herself??

I suggest you watch them all, and just disregard the very last episode as an out of place unfortunate accident, that has nothing to do with the real characters..

Do we have an update on if it's really gonna be just 26 episodes, or if they're gonna break it down into seasons??

Some of my favourite kings that come to mind are Ning Yi & his -flawed but excellently portrayed- father in The Rise of Phoenixes, and Liu Xiu in Singing All Along.

He's also portrayed beautifully by Kim Ji Suk in Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People.
