The storyline resembled Perfect Marriage Revenge (which I really loved) so much :
✅️ Both leads traveled back in time. ✅️ Future FL was married for some time. ✅️ FL found her husband cheating on her with someone close to her. ✅️ FL died and now the reborn fl is taking revenge on her husband-to-be.
With these similarities, nothing in the storyline surprised me as I found it predictable.
I'm not fond of Na In Woo as an actor as I could not take his character as a supposedly cool, full of composure & good looking chaebol's grandson here seriously. As an avid watcher of 2D1N for the past few years I was very familiar with his clumsy, silly, weird & random behaviour in that show so his acting of Yoo Ji Hyuk failed to convince me both are two different persons 😂. And about Park Min Young I used to enjoy her acting before ( Healer , What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, City Hunter & Sungkyunkwan Scandal) but here I found her acting was lacking. When she cries or in anguish most of the times I felt nothing. I hate saying this but what she had done to her face , the unnatural outcome of it further distracting me from feeling anything.
Because nothing in the drama was that engaging to me & I was not curious about how the story will ended so dropping it now is the answer. Dropped at Episode 10/16.
I liked how angsty the story was. I always have soft spot for an angsty plot so I quite enjoyed watching this one 🤭. The ml was a walking red flag in the early episodes. They failed to show how much he loves fl in those episodes and suddenly we're supposed to believe he was always in love with her and what he did to her all for good reasons 😅. Sure why not.. Later he redeemed himself in the last few episodes by groveling and I liked how fl did not turned soft & forgive him easily. I was expecting a tragic ending for such story and was surprised when they proved me wrong. I liked the ending. The acting , visual and chemistry between the leads were good too so my rating 8/10.
K-screenwriters : MC turned into a dog : ✔. MC turned into a chicken nugget : ✔. Later we need MC turned into an inanimate object like pen or book ........
When normal length dramas put you in a slump , watch short length drama instead . So this is what I'm doing right now 🤭. One thing I like from watching a short length C-drama is you can finish watching it within one day. Even if the storyline is a crap you don't lose much. Just at most 3 hours++ of your life 😆.
About this one, the plot was nothing you haven't seen before in a xianxia drama. Average in all aspects. 7/10.
The editing was a mess especially towards the end but the plot was engaging enough. The acting and visual also good for a short drama. If not for that tragic ending ,I might rate this 8/10.
To describe the second part was... it was underwhelming . Maybe because I already got used to the drama's formulaic ( he get shot, he is in another body then died and the cycle repeats ) and the revenge mission was just ok. 8/10.
The messages of the show resonates with me. ' Death is not easy. It is not the end but it is the beginning. ' 'Every life is precious. ' 'There is something beautiful even in your worst experience only if you open your eyes. ' So I was ready to give this a 9 but the story in the last episode was sloooow until the last 10 minutes happened. Oh wow I like the twist. My ratings for the first 3 episodes = 9/10 , the last episode = 8/10. My final rating = 8.5/10.
S3 was my least favourite season so far. Could not beat that homey and authentic feeling that was evoked from S1 especially. I felt like the interactions between the main cast and the local feel forced at times . Like they need to make those interactions solely for the show & only for the show. Not as heartfelt & natural as the interactions in S1. Language barrier could be one of the reasons. Through this season I found there's nothing special anymore about ramyeon snow crab I wish they change the main menu I'm not even curious of how it taste anymore 😂. Insung served it everyday and now with another cast took over the cooking in the last few eps I think Insung need to find another speciality. Idk maybe attempting another signature dish.. Maybe I'm the only one think he got it easy in this season . I've no hate against the actor himself because I really liked him in Moving🥲. It's just ... I think he has this potential to be more but he did not explored it. His role kinda faded in the background while the other cast keep shining. Even the other additional cast doing better at speaking with local while also working hard at their tasks at the same time. Anyway, this is me being honest to my own feeling since I've been following this show since S1.
I was really anticipating this drama prior to its release and it turned out to be a disappointment 😩. Even Dylan & Bailu's chemistry & great visual couldn't save this drama for me. All the talks about investment, chips, energy bla bla bla the topics are already boring enough could not they atleast make it more interesting... and with a painfully boring storyline ..I was so bored out of my mind all the time. Dropped @Ep14.
❇️ It was refreshing to see a redflag haraboji instead of a redflag halmoni here. I knoww there's something shady about him when he always looked grumpy and keep opposing main lead's relationship 😠.
❇️ Chemistry between leads not so much. Not as strong as Lee Se Young-Lee Jun Ho's chemistry in The Red Sleeve. It was lowkey kinda barely there especially in early episodes although I noticed it got better in the last 2 episodes.
❇️ Something was off about the plot . Things happen just because it can happen . So many whys with no answers. No reason explained about why their fate repeated itself. First this haraboji . His motive also not convincing to me. He is obsessive & manipulative because he can. Why he asked Tae Ha to get married if he want to stop who he wants to marry it's not like he has a candidate ready for him. Why only want one grandchild if you can have two to inherit your legacy. Let say if something happen to one of them, he will still have another one and it is not like he is the one that give birth to them. His hatred towards Tae Min I don't understand. By right shouldn't he favour Tae Min more than Tae Ha as he wanted his son to marry Tae Min's mother and he hates Tae Ha's mother ..? Poor Tae Min...despite having a loveless family I salute that he did not become evil as his mother & haraboji. Second, who is the blue-eyed woman ? Is she an immortal? Third , why the watch has that magical effect ? What is the mechanism of the magic? Did it stopped ticking when she time travelling or what? Fourth, how Yeon Woo can come to new Joseon again after she plunged into the sea? All of sudden she was at the hotel pond wearing a pristine looking hanbok lol 😂. Things just happened in this drama because it can happen. No logic whatsoever.
❇️ I realized this drama's main purpose was to promote hanbok. It's funny to me that FL only wore it in the first 7 episodes ,like all the time but later decides no more hanbok for her 😆 .
❇️ In individual scenes, I feel for Bae In Hyuk's acting but in early episodes when he was required to act as a couple with LSY, it looked awkward. His young age is evident when he was with LSY. While LSY's acting was consistently stable , he's kinda up and down. Although I admit in the last few episodes his acting did improved. He is fine looking but there is alot he need to improve if he want to continue to be a drama's ML imo.
ML seem smart in everything else but when it comes to FL's real identity (despite many hints given) it took him 20 episodes to figure it out 😂. I don't like the way YZN still keeping her identity hidden for long from LXM. Whether she tell him early or later he will still get angry no difference so for me better just be done with the truth. And there's nothing that love can't cure isn't it. Other than that, their chemistry was good .
I also enjoyed the story when they're in Xianyue but things became boring when they're in Muxi. I watched with 2x speed and FF alot. I couldn't care less about Princess Yun Luo -Tan Rang love story and the villains plotline which after some times it get draggy.
While the rest of the story was boring, I enjoyed 3 spies's scenes ( Sanmei's fake family lol). Their characters were consistently hilarious from beginning to the end😆 . Considering this is a short drama with low budget ,the cinematography was unexpectedly good and visually pleasing. My rating : 7/10.
I can't stand ml's bad acting like he always looking so awkward in his mannerism what a turn off 😂 I liked the idea of a revengeful fl but the execution here was not interesting at all. Dropped at ep 12.
Castaway Diva is a story of people with both flaws and strengths. Everyone is morally grey here like people in real life. About the plot it had some boring moments here and there especially toward the end so I skipped those and watched most of it with 2X speed. Great acting from all cast from the child to the adult actors. Good chemistry between leads. The romance was sweet and heartwarming. The villain was creepy in the first half of the story but later became an annoying entity in the second half. I like some of the OST sang by Park Eun Bin. My favourite song of her is Someday. My rating 7.5/10.
I don't expect Ep 685 would be this hilarious since this was the first ep with no Seokjin lol . I don't know this boy group TXT before but the members were all so funny! All were not shy , cunning & eloquent too . Totally a variety show material. It's been awhile I had so much fun like this watching an ep of RM😁
Charismatic acting in SOKP. He did a great job in potraying Yan Lin. His transition from a playful nature Yan Lin to a mature Yan Lin was so good I fell for his character 🤍
