This drama was not on my PTW list and I am not even a fan of both leads .But I started this one because of all the rave and I was curious . Moreover, a revenge based drama is always my cup of tea. Once I finished the first episode , I understand why this drama became the talk of the c-drama town. I think the main strength of this drama was its captivating plot. The second best was the acting. The complexity of the characters from the main characters to the villains also contributed to the success of this drama.

As for me, up to episode 30 , I really enjoyed the plot. I would rate these episodes= 9/10. The plot was addicting , unpredictable and dull moments never stayed for long. FL here was the real definition of a clever and strong heroine. I loved the fact that our FL was strong enough on her own. She did not just wait and depend on ML to save and protect her all the time . She mostly resolved all the problem arises in her revenge plan by her own thinking and ability.

But the last 10 episodes , were quite underwhelming to me. Political conspiracies in dramas never failed to bored me and here in this drama there is no exception. I mostly speed watched through it. The last 10 episodes focused more on politic and villain backstory with less focus on our main couple relationship. The romance which I hope would evolve more when we are now going towards the end just ended up being stagnant like their romance suddenly was not one of the focus of this drama. The chemistry between Ah Li and Duke Su was indeed electric but the drama did not fully utilize it , even their appearance together in these episodes were too less imo.

Other aspects:-
✅️ Cinematography was great = 10/10.
✅️ Costumes department also did not dissapoints = 8.5/10.
☑️ OSTs were good enough= 8/10. While I did not loved any of the main songs but I liked the instrumental songs here .

My rating = 8.6/10.

When I saw her in TAF, her face looks sooo familiar. Turned out it is because she looks like Renesmee Cullen , daughter of Bella & Edward in movie Twilight 😃

My 3rd Zhao Yi Qin's drama but my 1st drama of seeing him without hanfu. He looked dashing in a suit ❤. And my 5th Zhao Lin's drama. As usual I always enjoyed mini dramas made by this screenwriter 😊. Hope his next one already in the making. My rating : 8/10.

Cheap version of Squid Game in term of setting. Most of the times, I felt uncomfortable & icky while watching this . My rating: 7.5/10.

Started okay but the plot went totally crazy in the last 10 episodes. Opium addiction, stabbing, fake amnesia, force confinement, physical abuse you name it lol. I went from liking ML in the first half of the story to disliking him by the end of it. FL also not that clever in her revenge mission. Just another forgettable mini drama .My rating for the first 14 episodes :8/10 . The last 10 episodes: 6/10. Final rating : 7/10.

I never thought I would enjoyed this drama this much especially when youth and sports genre aren't really my cuppa tea. I usually avoid them like the plague. It was a rare occasion for me to enjoy one like I did with FIY.

Started this because of Wang An Yu and I was immediately sold by episode 2. Wow WAY's acting here imo was even better than his acting in The Last Immortal. There's something in his acting that made me his fan after TLI and made me want to watch FIY after. He acts with his whole body but the way he expressed his emotions through eyes mesmerized me the most. Duan Yu Cheng's character was such a crybaby, childish as expected of 20 years old boy but he can be serious when time needed him to be. In romance aspect , I would say it was sweet,cute & steamy of a kind. WAY chemistry with Gina was so good like they were in love for real. And those kisses scenes here which he mostly initiated were just 🥵. I was surprised because we did not see those in TLI maybe saw just a snippet of it but here there were tons loI. This couple also maintained a healthy relationship throughout with no miscommunication. Made me want a jiejie romance of my own too 🤧.

Storyline was interesting enough for me to stay engrossed for 26 episodes which is a perfect length because when I think of sports drama with 36 or 40 episodes I feel bored already 😂. So watching DYC's hardship in pursuing his dream woke the sportmanship spirit in me which I thought I did not have.

My rating : 8.4/10.

" Violence breeds violence. And it starts from home. " I think this is the main message this drama want to told us 😔. There were so much violence here they made me feel sick at times. Although, I felt satisfied everytime Shi Eun fights back . Still I worry about his mental being 🥺. He's like a ticking bomb , when put under enough pressure he will explode with no regret 🤧. The acting was amazing. OST also good enough. My rating: 8/10.

Watched 4 of his dramas and I enjoyed them all! Can't believe the author is male. The way he wrote female lead's character is better than female authors. They were not stereotype or weak FL we often see in C-Drama, independent and have strong willed. I just finished Hard To Find and I liked how strong the FL was.

Tbh, I was ready to drop this drama at episode 5 but the last 10 minutes of the episode made me stayed. The first half of the story was a total snoozefest for me. Worked well as sleeping pills 😴. I never failed to fall asleep while watching this at night. While in the first half all they did were talking, talking and talking, the second half of the story became a little interesting with bits of action + slight comedy. Enjoyed the two bodyguards's scenes. Pity they did not keep it that way till the end 🥺.

Han Hyo Joo and Ju Ji Hoon ( in suits ) looking fine here as expected. If only the storyline was as solid as their acting..

About that ending, I know now I should not trust this screenwriter ever since the trainwreck called Grid. It was as disappointing as her previous drama. I could not help but compare between these two since both are her works with the same genre. Grid's ending too has cliffhanger, left more unanswered questions than not with no season 2 . So I'm sure it will be the same with this one.

Great first episode. Great synergy between 2 MCs and the guest. Kwangsoo never disappoints as expected 😆! 2 times Jaesuk asked him why he did not want to rejoin RM . Both time he deflected his questions lol. I wanna know why too Kwangsoo! You joined other shows but never with RM even as a guest would be great 🤧

= Last 10 eps were angsty . The rest not so much.

Can't take my eyes of him in Burning Flames. So hot with that black demon attire and that ponytail so on point ❤. Looking forward to see his next drama!

☑️ The plot: 8/10 .The first half of the story was slow and repetitive. As for me it was started to get interesting from Ep 21 to the end.
✅️ Acting & character : 8.5/10. My favorite was Zhao Li Ying's and I liked her character.
She was consistently kick-ass from beginning to the end. She knew what she wanted- not wishy washy and when she's in-love didn't suddenly turned weak/ never let her feelings deterred her from doing her duties.
☑️ Angsty : 7/10 (especially in the last 10 episodes).
✅️ Chemistry : 8.5/10. The romance was balmy in the first half & turned intense in the second half.
✅️ OST : 8.5/10. Took some time for me to warm up to it . My favourite is Lifetime by Liu Yu Ning.
✅️ Cinematography: 9/10 ( As expected from S level budgeted C-drama)

⭕️My actual rating : 8.4/10.

The script + plot were trash and the only saving grace was the acting of both leads.
My first time seeing ML, he has a whole package = good looking + acting. My second time watching FL (I liked her in Broken the Heart) ,here she cried in almost every episode lol . May they get better script in their next drama. My rating : 6/10.

I have a goldfish memory so I better wait until after S2 start to air before I start S1🫠 . I don't do rewatch thing so I prefer binge-watching the whole thing at one go 🤭. I see but this editing thingy did not involved the original platform such as Wetv right?

I've been waiting for S2 to be out before starting this drama. I've waited 8 months already , so it doesn't matter if I have to wait a year or more now to watch the whole drama 🧔‍♀️ . #iamsopatience #justforgetthisdramaexistingfornow

If not for Allen Ren (and thanks to the existence of fast forward button too) I would probably could not finish this one 🤭 .. Nothing standout from the storyline. CGI was rich, fighting scenes were so colorful like seeing a firework show. Some of Allen's costumes were great. I wasn't feeling the romance between leads. Their relationship was more like between a buddy than a lover one. Although, the chemistry here was not the worst I've seen in Allen's drama (I am looking at you, TYFY🥲) . OST will took you some time to warm up to it. My rating: 7/10 .

✅️ Engaging storyline from beginning to end.
✅️ Great acting from all cast.
✅️ Action, suspense and thriller done right.
✅️ Great cinematography.

So far, this was the best thriller drama in the first half of 2024 for me .
