Lol. If you're watching downloaded videos use VLC and increase the brightness will help . I used to watch using MKV but even 100 % brightness did not helped 😂. I downloaded VLC just to watch this drama to see what is in the dark 🤣
✅️ Chemistry between main leads : 9/10 ✅️ Emotional and angst meter : 8.5/10 ✅️ Acting especially Shin Min Ah's performance as Son Hae Young : 9.5/10. She is my favourite character in the story. I could relate to her character much. While watching her , many times I said 'me too me too' 'am feeling the same way'. First time watching Kim Young Dae and I enjoyed his acting too. Despite the age gap, their relationship ,skinship does not feel awkward to me. They feel like a real couple who's in love with each other. ✅️ OST, cinematography : 8/10 ☑️ Romance in the first 9 episodes : 9/10. The last 3 episodes : 5/10. Main couple romance swallowed up by second couple romance in the last episode. I don't watch this drama because I want to watch second leads become a main focus by the end... they should put more focus on main leads in the last episode because it is their story! 😭 Just 5 minutes for Hae Young and Ji Uk reconciliation scenes WAS NOT ENOUGH! ☑️ Binge-watched the first 9 eps. I really enjoyed every bits of the story and I was ready to rate it 9/10 then. The monster here made me think of Venom. A korean version one lol. Cinematography was as amazing as S1 but in terms of plot ,S1 was much better. I guess 7 episodes were not enough to tell all that happened during 80 years gap between this season & its predecessor. So it felt like you're missing something from the story. My rating: 8/10.

First time watching DGZ in drama. Heard all the rave about him before. Mann.. I am not impressed. I don't think his acting is good 🙈. He tend to overacting alot imo. Costume : Meh . Hairstyle : Not good. Plot : Nothing new. 5/10.
The story was interesting in the beginning but when the romance sailed it started to get boring. I need angst in my drama but this drama is too calm & too healthy for my mental health 🥲. Everything progress smoothly it was so meh to watch. One scene that disappointed me the most was when Hua Zhi finally get to know Yan Xi's real identity. It was a perfect moment for an angsty scene but no . She just calmly accepted the truth like what? That guy deceiving you again and again intentionally. He also did nothing to prevent you from getting beat for a mistake that you did not do when he has power to do so. But she forgive him just like that 🙄.. So much for a healthy and mature relationship.
At this point, I think I enjoyed healthy relationship with doses of toxicity + misunderstandings in my dramas more coz they get my adrenaline running & made things more exciting. Which this drama did not have. The main couple's relationship is healthy and too perfect all the way.
Tbh, I enjoyed many family drama here even shed few tears while watching . These scenes are the only thing that made me feel. But to keep watching family drama (even the conflict only appeared once in a while ) with a boring romance for 40 episodes?

My verdict: As everything isn't my cup of tea & I found no joy while watching, dropped!
I agree with you on all points, except for the romance part because XFF was still married to SYR after she survived…
If they really want to wait until her marital status is resolved why the candle kiss in ep 34? 🙃 I recall her marital status still did not resolve at that point.
This drama was not on my PTW list and I am not even a fan of both leads .But I started this one because of all the rave and I was curious . Moreover, a revenge based drama is always my cup of tea. Once I finished the first episode , I understand why this drama became the talk of the c-drama town. I think the main strength of this drama was its captivating plot. The second best was the acting. The complexity of the characters from the main characters to the villains also contributed to the success of this drama.
As for me, up to episode 30 , I really enjoyed the plot. I would rate these episodes= 9/10. The plot was addicting , unpredictable and dull moments never stayed for long. FL here was the real definition of a clever and strong heroine. I loved the fact that our FL was strong enough on her own. She did not just wait and depend on ML to save and protect her all the time . She mostly resolved all the problem arises in her revenge plan by her own thinking and ability.
But the last 10 episodes , were quite underwhelming to me. Political conspiracies in dramas never failed to bored me and here in this drama there is no exception. I mostly speed watched through it. The last 10 episodes focused more on politic and villain backstory with less focus on our main couple relationship. The romance which I hope would evolve more when we are now going towards the end just ended up being stagnant like their romance suddenly was not one of the focus of this drama. The chemistry between Ah Li and Duke Su was indeed electric but the drama did not fully utilize it , even their appearance together in these episodes were too less imo.
Other aspects:- ✅️ Cinematography was great = 10/10. ✅️ Costumes department also did not dissapoints = 8.5/10. ☑️ OSTs were good enough= 8/10. While I did not loved any of the main songs but I liked the instrumental songs here .
When I saw her in TAF, her face looks sooo familiar. Turned out it is because she looks like Renesmee Cullen , daughter of Bella & Edward in movie Twilight 😃
My 3rd Zhao Yi Qin's drama but my 1st drama of seeing him without hanfu. He looked dashing in a suit ❤. And my 5th Zhao Lin's drama. As usual I always enjoyed mini dramas made by this screenwriter 😊. Hope his next one already in the making. My rating : 8/10.
