Most of the actors from this are in Veil of Shadows, it even has a similar vibe and Xianxia, maybe dear Edward (the director) decided to make something like this after this and Veil of Shadows came into being😂 Anyway, I'm grateful to him. I wish he would have had a little mercy at the end of this drama or a little more happy ending at the end of Veil of Shadows lol

I hate that the ML and FL spent almost the entire series thinking they were blood-related and couldn’t get married. When an episode ended, I was so desperate for more scenes of them that I couldn’t wait for the next episode, so I’d just keep replaying the end credits every time lol

Totally agree. I knew what the SML’s fate was from the start, and I even knew the main couple was going to end up together in the final moments of the last episode (it was so obvious from their looks in the end credits—especially it was right at the end of it). I hate dramas that spoil everything beforehand. Honestly, the second couple was the only highlight of the drama for me 😂

Falling for her soul.. when you mentioned that, it totally reminded me of Alchemy of Souls. Yeah, that kind of romance is so captivating.
Also, after reading that review you wrote, you’ve definitely convinced me to give it a try!

I’m not a fan of murder mysteries either, but I love the romance and Ju Jingyi, lol. It seems like Unveil Jadewind, doesn’t it? The mystery element in that was actually good (and I finished it all just for Bailu).
