How did you manage to skip past it? When an episode ended, I was so desperate for more scenes of them that I couldn’t wait for the next episode, so I’d just keep replaying the end credits every time lol

Totally agree. I knew what the SML’s fate was from the start, and I even knew the main couple was going to end up together in the final moments of the last episode (it was so obvious from their looks in the end credits—especially it was right at the end of it). I hate dramas that spoil everything beforehand. Honestly, the second couple was the only highlight of the drama for me 😂

It’s true that she was actually 17, but people will probably forget about the age gap later on, just like they did with Love in the Moonlight, when Yoo-jung was only 16 now Ai Mi doesn’t even look 17, and her character in the drama isn’t 17 either. 1. The FL doesn’t show any feelings until ep31, but the ML is completely in love with her and confesses to her directly and indirectly. Of course, the FL never rejects him. There are also kissing scenes. In ep32, the FL finally shows that she is in love with him. And in the last moment of ep36, they get together. 😂
2. They didn’t have any specific breakup in the whole drama, except for the last episodes where they were apart for a while. There are no misunderstandings between them either. There is also a love triangle where the SML is in love with the FL, but the FL sees him as a friend. it's not annoying.

But of course, in those cases, the woman wasn’t a minor! 😂 She was 17 when they filmed it (I admit she was a minor then), but she’s 18 now that the drama is airing (maybe that was their way of trying to cover it up, lol).
Regarding what you mentioned, that’s a separate issue from age gaps. I don’t know much about the specific ins and outs of the Chinese entertainment industry, but unfortunately, there are dark secrets behind the scenes of even the best dramas that we simply don’t know about. Let’s not get into that rabbit hole, so it doesn’t turn into a rumor.

It definitely would have been better if they hadn’t cut so much. Reading the comments, it seems the original novel and the anime of this drama have many fans and a strong story, but their amateurish cuts caused this drama, with such an amazing cast, to become so incomplete
