Exactly, it added nothing of value to the story. I would have been maybe-kinda-ok with it, if it had ended with…
In fact I think it really depends on how you felt this scene. Some people here or on social medias think it's not problematic, other people think it's problematic (like you and Momijii). I often notice too problematics scenes in dramas (I'm a huge feminist and I read lots, lots of articles about patriarchy and unbalanced power between people so even if it's a BL I don't agree with these attitudes) but here, it didn't annoy me because I felt it was logical if we know the character's past and these unresolved feelings / unresolved love story between them. So in my point of view, the scene wasn't problematic, what's problematic is the situation which is described, so it's a little different. If we don't see this scene as a romantic scene but as a heartbreaking scene, it's quite different, because Shu Yi doesn't fight back a lot (on the contrary, a few minutes ago he was able to fight back when he thougt that Shi De was messing with him) and we can see all his contradictory feelings on his face during this couch scene, but it's my opinion and everybody is not the same. I think everybody is right in this situation because it's not really clear and at the end Shu Yi surrenders to his feelings. So yes, it's quite difficult in this particular situation to decide if it's a non-consent scene or not, and nobody's right (or everybody's right, like I said, it depends on the way you felt this scene). There is no real good answer here and it's good to discuss about it.

You're welcome and thank you for your explanations about the notebook, I didn't really understand what was written on it. As I saw the little heart he draw near Shi De's name, I didn't understand at that time why Shi De was sad when he saw it.

Yeah, I just checked a few minutes ago, and she explains that she knows her son well, she knows that he even transferred in this school because of ZSY and she said 'All those paintings were about him, weren't they ?" so GSD is embarrassed in front of her and Shu Yi. But perhaps ZSY is good at painting too ? I never noticed the notebook you are talking about.

I don't think they had sex. I rather think that the metaphor with the swimming pool means that Shi De lost consciousness at that moment because of drunkness. And it's not their first time ;-) We see at the end of S1E6 that Shi De draw Shu Yi with his sexy underpants (there is a painting on the wall) and we also see a video with Shu Yi waking up Shi De, and Shi De says he's tired because of their night. I rather think that when they'll really have sex, the producers will show us that. But let's see the next episode, I think this will be clarified ! And yes, the plot doesn't make sense, but they're so touching and good acting, so I don't care ;-)
He won't be the one .. it defeats the whole purpose of his storyline, if they show him to be the hacker..the objective…
I see what you mean with your first sentence / suggestion. And we all know that Taïwan often shows us "false" teasers in order to trick us and that things will often be the contrary. But I don't exactly see what you mean with Shu Yi ? Or do you mean Pei Shou Yi ?
Next friday, there will be a hacking in GSD's society. I don't know if I'm right or wrong, but I have the feeling that the hacker of the Alpha Project is the young Asperger man, because he believes that Pei Shou Yi is in love with Shi De and he wants to take revenge on GSD... Or perhaps he wants to annoy Shu Yi, but I rather think it's because of Shi De.
In mandarin, people sometimes call others with Xiao, which means little, before the last name to show more intimacy.…
Thank you, I didn't remember that in Right or Wrong (but I watched it on Viki with french subtitles so I guess the french version dropped this Xiao thing)
Thank you very much for these explanations.Very useful and it gives a good logic to the story. When we watch dramas,…
Liking some plots / some dramas or dislike them is one thing. It depends on your tastes. Criticize character's decisions without trying to understand the cultural context is a completly different thing. You and me don't talk about the same thing.
I don't understand. On Viki, in the english version, when they talk about Ye Xing Si, they call him "Xiao Ye". What's that ? Xiao is also the name of Xiao Licheng. Did they made a mistake in their names ? Is there two Xiao or what ?
I see your point, though I don't feel like this interpretation is completely supported by the story. ZSY's dad…
Yes, they didn't want to give us the same story in S1 and S2 and they clearly thought about it. S1 was about the beginning of a love story, very romantic and sweet. S2 is about what follows in a couple, and what happens when there is lack of communication. And we all know that Shi De isn't a very talkative one even in S1 so it makes sense. Anyway, someone here said that Shu Yi's being drunk in the teasers is probably due to the fact he just leant his own mistake... Let's see !
To a lot of people who are finding the enforced separation and the lack of communication implausible: coming from…
Thank you very much for these explanations. Very useful and it gives a good logic to the story. When we watch dramas, we have to keep in mind that it's another culture, other traditions, and that's the point. Don't watch dramas if you aren't ready to open your mind and to discover other ways of living and thinking !

But I have the feeling that Shu Yi will discover he made a real mistake when he believed Shi De was with the blonde girl, and then he'll regret very much his attitude and the fact he didn't talked to Shi De this time... So I think after that, it will be easier for them because they are quite 50-50 at fault (or 60-40, because Shi De's agreement with the father is the reason why they didn't see each other for so long).

Dispensable, sinon nul. Ca serait passé il y a quelques années, mais aujourd'hui on en attend plus ;-)
