About the fact that we don't see much of the "office story", I think next week we'll see more of this situation.…
In fact I don't know if there really are some cut scenes and if this is the reason why we don't see much of their story, it's mostly my theory but it makes quite sense for me. But for sure, one picture in the final credits in Episode 5 show us these two close to each other, but we didn't see this situation in the drama : when Shi De just told Shu Yi "the deal is off" and they meet just after that, Shi De says he forgot his phone and goes away. So Shu Yi goes away too, and Zhe Yu & Bing Wei are alone. Then the scene changes in the drama and we see other things after that. But the picture I mean is at the end of episode 5, just before the real credits. It shows us Zhe Yu telling something in Bing Wei's ear, and they are dressed exactly like in the scene I described, in the same place (outside), so I suppose they talked a little after Shi De and Shu Yi left them alone. And I made a copy of this picture for those who are interested. Anyway that could explain too why Zhe Yu thinks Bing Wei is attracted to him (when he's angry at Shi De and hits the locker after that). No, I'm not obsessed...
CW: Super critical post, ignore this if you love the show and dislike or feel discouraged by reading negative…
About the fact that we don't see much of the "office story", I think next week we'll see more of this situation. The teaser shows us that there will be a hacking with Project Alpha. So let's see next week if we'll have more of the "rivarly" thing at the office !
About the fact that we don't undestand how the young Asperger man found Pei Shou Yi, I think it's a problem due to the episodes duration. I have the feeling that they made lots of scenes which were cut in the final version (for example a scene which could explain how he found Pei Shou Yi after 12 years), and that could explain why we don't see much of the side story between Bing Wei and Zhe Yu. Maybe I'm wrong, but I have the feeling that they made other scenes about their side love story in S1 (we see some picture in the final credits in S1 with Bing Wei and Zhe Yu, but we don't see this scene in the drama itself), and they cut their scenes together because of the budget. And perhaps S3 will be about these two, with the cut scenes ?
For those who wonder why Zhu Shu Yi keeps having a huge grudge toward Shi De, and think that after 5 years he should have forget their relationship : Don't forget that they part just after a few month of love, that means that Shu Yi was left alone with questions about his sexuality. Until his love story with Shi De he thought he was straight, so yes, when Shi De went to America and never came back, of course Shu Yi'd would remember their relationship during all his life. It's not the same situation as if he was used to go out with several girls and forget them after... For Shi De it's different. It's not important to know wether he's gay or not, this question is meaningless in his case, he loves Shu Yi since childhood and he'll love him forever, that's all. Of course he has the same feeling after 5 years, and he'll have the same feeling 20 years after. So if each one keeps thinking about the other after 5 years, it totally makes sense for both of them, because of the context of their relationship.
Firstly I'd like to point out that regardless of the slower paced story reveal of season 2; the acting is explosive…
Thank you for your explanations about the music. I noticed too that in this drama, the songs and musics are quite good, when Thai BL give us naive and traditional music without soul in it, in WBL it's good. I play piano too but I'm not good enough to recognize the musics ;-)
Shi De was also not contacting him before Shu Yi went to America. I love Shi De, not trying to say he started…
Yes, but what I remember (or perhaps I remember wrong) is the fact that both of them asked themselves "Why the other doesn't answer me ?" Shi De thinks Shu Yi doesn't contact him very much in special episode, and Shu Yi thinks Shi De doesn't contact him very much in S2, so they thought about the same thing, or did I mistake ? If that's the case perhaps there is something else in this mess, and we don't know yet.
Ok, before criticize Shi De, let's sit a moment and think about what this episode told us. First, Shu Yi go to America. He sees Shi De with a woman, and he believes Shi De betrayed him. He broke with him, give his phone to his father, and all that without talking to Shi De, who never knew that he came to see him. ONE YEAR LATER, Shi De meets Shu Yi's father, and the father tells him Shu Yi broke up with him, and they make their deal. Shi De was wrong. But Shu Yi is the first to mistake about their relationship. If he had talked to Shi De when he saw him in the garden, there wouldn't be all this mess. They are both wrong at the end.
I also have a side question : do they all really have to carrry someone in their arms to prove which one is the strong man in the couple ?
Hello is there somebody here who could explain what's the problem with the scriptwriter who wrote this story ? I liked the first episode (it's quite different and I think it's a good thing too, we don't need serious scripts all the time and we can appreciate light scripts) but lots of people here seem to disagree with her because of MODC. I know the ending is awful in MODC and that explains some people's anger (I gave up before the ending but I didn't like the story very much), but I saw here and there some things about plagiarism ?
Yes, he really used his tongue. We see it very well in the sofa scene. The picture is quite explicite and I remember…
I think both time when they kiss (when Shu Yi answers his kiss if I remember correctly) : one time you see it clearly, one time it's more difficult to see it
My mind is so stressed right now because I keep thinking if Gao shi De really used tongue or I'm just being delusional.....…
Yes, he really used his tongue. We see it very well in the sofa scene. The picture is quite explicite and I remember we see it twice. The real question is : did his tongue meet Shu Yi's tongue ?
You can feel the emotions through the screen. That's what makes their kisses so great.
I understand why it's controversial, we have a problematic situation and it's good to discuss about it. But if we put aside this aspect, what we all have to remember : the two actors did an extraordinary job, controversial or not.
Hello for my part I truly tried to think about it, and to think about the way I feel. And I think that this scene…
That's exactly what I felt about the music, so that's why it didn't bother me, even if I understand that others could think it's romantic rather than heartbreaking. Everybody is not the same but to me, it was a heartbreaking scene. The situation was problematic but if they don't take us for morons, I'm ok. Let's see next week...
Hello for my part I truly tried to think about it, and to think about the way I feel. And I think that this scene…
Yes indeed ! And to go further on the swimming pool subject, I think that when he exhales air, it's to show us Shi De's throwing up all his despair, so in reality I think he really threw up that's why he's naked (so the don't slept together, but it's not certain so we have to wait next week).
I'm pretty sure that Muren is secretly in love with Lichen. That's why he says that 1st love is never successfull. And the other one (the creative director) kind of feels it or is about to guess it, in a way.
Hello for my part I truly tried to think about it, and to think about the way I feel. And I think that this scene…
Yes that's strange we don't have the same feelings about a scene, and it's good too because we can discuss about it. So about this subject, I repeat : I don't excuse any rape situation and I don't excuse Shi De. I'm the first to notice it in dramas If I was Shu Yi I won't forgive him neither (but I don't think they slept together, to me the swimming pool is a metaphoris to describe Shi De when he lost consciousness). What he did was wrong, but at this point of the drama, we don't know what's going on and how Shu Yi will respond. Because I didn't really feel that they mean Shi De was right to do that because Shu Yi gave in, and that's the reason why I said I'm ok with that : I understood the scene as a bad situation, and I don't have the feeling that they try to lie to us. But others can feel the scene in an other way and you're right when you say we'll have to wait next week to know their true intentions about the relationship's developpment.
And I made a copy of this picture for those who are interested.
