Yu answered in a live why Shu Yi felt in love so fast: "It's because we can only broadcast for 30 minutes" :D@Fan2Dramas:…
Yes, thank you for noticing this detail too : you're right, I didn't noticed that the ankle could be a good clue too. So indeed, the time is longer than what I thought !
Contrary to lots of people, I didn't really enjoy this one. I found the relationship development here to be quite…
Hello, I perfectly understand why you feel like that. For my part I really loved this show and it's my favorite now. So it doesn't bother me because I watched it several time so I noticed some details which can reduce this feeling, but you're right this story is very speed (probably due to low budget) so if we don't pay attention the first time it seems that Shu Yi's feelings change too quickly. Anyway, after watching the show several times, I noticed some things : after he hears the confession, he's quite in confusion. He doesn't pay attention to his friends, neither to his date, and his mind is "elsewhere" during several days, perhaps a whole week. I think the clothes he wears are a good clue for the time between Shi De's confession and Shu Yi's confession. First he's in his condom and Shi De's sends him an e-mail, so he's bored because he's not used to be rejected. After that he waits for Shi De in several places, with different clothes : piano room, swimming-pool, Shi De's classroom, the library, when he's with his friend he takes someone else for Shi De... These are different days, so it's enough time for him to feel that he misses Shi De. And after that, his friend (the girl) makes him realize that Shi De was by his side during all his life. And during all these days without Shi De, he had time too to realize that what he thought about Shi De was false and that their relationship isn't what he thougt (he remembers Shi De when he acts as someone who worries about him, and not as a rival). So I don't think this U-turn is too quick after I think about it, but I perfectly undestand that others feel that : yes, the drama is very speed, specially episodes 4&5, and if they had more budget perhaps we would have a nice story about the other couple (the 2 male friends), because this one was very rushed !
Quite promising, but let's see in a few weeks if the drama is still interesting. I think that 1 or 2 episodes each week is quite frustrating because it's only 15 minutes, and this could give us the feeling that these stories aren't very deep, but if we rewatch all episodes in a day we can see they built a consistent story and the drama doesn't go in all directions (on the contrary, there's often too much useless things in Thai BL). But we'll see.
I didn't understand who is Tiffy. Is she Oy's sister, or someone like that ? She wears a T-shirt about the series so at first I believed she was one of the team's members on "Bad Engineer", but now I'm not sure. Anyway, I have the feeling that she'll become soon my favorite character. And it wouldn't be a problem for me if she is in a couple with another girl. But I don't think that'll happen.
OMG SAME when he said "this is sexual harassment. this is not romantic " i was like dude spill it-
Yes you're right I didn't exactly remember his words but now you said it, he talked about sexual harrassment. This drama seems very promising, kind of "beta-drama"
Isn't that medicine on the paper work something you take for pain?? I agree that "Troy A. Cornelius" could be…
Yes, it's really strange, they just gave us some strange pieces of the puzzle and we have to guess, and of course, we guess wrong because we don't have the whole picture. I don't know nothing about his real father, but I think it's funny to elaborate theories, even the strangest ones. For example, Shi De could have a twin brother (or a younger brother who has the same face, from the same father) and it's him with Oscar ? Or Shi De is an undercover spy ? Or a super-hero and he had to deal with some really difficult matters ? Or he was stuck in a time machine ? Or he discovered that the father who abandoned him is Shu Yi's father too, so they are half-brothers and it's complicate to love him now ? Nope, that definitively doesn't work, but it's funny to spent time before knowing what really happened. Unfortunately, we'll have to wait two long weeks - sigh...
New edit : I just thought about something else : I don't really know the asian laws about nationality, but perhaps you can't be chinese, or taiwanese, if your two parents aren't chinese etc. at the same time. So perhaps his mother and his step-father died, so he had to adopt his brother, but as the brother isn't taiwanese, he has to stay in America to be with his adopted son. Ok I stop that. It makes me crazy;-) But it's still funny.
They're both childish to an unrealistic extent because the writing is so sloppy and eye-roll inducing. The whole…
Lol - I'm pretty sure that this new season will be very good too. Even if lots of people disagree with the usual "misunderstanding trope" (and we don't really know if it will be the case), looks like we'll have lots of angst, passion, hurt/comfort scenes, and it's enough to please me. We didn't see them in bed in season 1, and it seems they want to show us a different kind of story in season 2. So yes, there will be good loving scenes because they're adults now. They have a history, they have a past. In season one, there wasn't sexual tension between them : ok, Shi De loved him, but Shu Yi didn't like him at all so their interactions couldn't have this sexual tension, but now it's different because there is this past between them. And if they really broke up because of this misunderstanding trope, I don't care. It will be good. I love both of them and I want to see them, that's all.
Isn't that medicine on the paper work something you take for pain?? I agree that "Troy A. Cornelius" could be…
I just thought about something... Everybody forget his real father. Perhaps something happened to the father who abandonned him and his mother, and Shi De had to deal with some things about him (for example, this man could have threatened them, etc.)
Lots of people seem disappointed by this spin-off, but I'm pretty sure that we all are worried for nothing. All that will makes sense, and this spin-off is just there to make us elaborate false theories, to make us want to know more, and some people here already said that Taiwanese trailers usually show us a false picture of what will really happen. So I'm very optimistic. Don't forget that they didn't make a 2nd season BECAUSE the first one was good. They made two seasons ON PURPOSE since the beginning, in order to explore different degrees in a relationship, so the dynamic won't be the same but it'll be very logical at the end. Yes, I wonder why they really broke up. But we all have to wait before criticize. For now, we do know NOTHING except what they want us to believe. So let's see.
Wow, that totally makes sense. The trailer's scene between Shi De and Shu Yi's dad may also refer to him not wanting…
I don't really know her (I think she made History3 Trapped and it's not a REAL happy ending, even if their love is established), and I think people can change and want to produce variate things in their products, and not the same thing every time. So I don't particulary trust her about this, but I think that if there's is a lot of angst and conflicts in S2, they can't give us a bad ending, otherwise we'll spend the entire drama to be uncomfortable. So I think there will be a happy ending, but let's see !
Ok I thought about it and I have a theory. The only reason they didn't talk about the problem by Line, phone or e-mail is because Shi De needs to tell him something in person, to tell him directly. So it's something very serious . We see medical papers. Everybody here seem to think it's about his mother or step-father, but it could be about Shi De himself (for example if it was a problem about his mother, he could have tell him "sorry Shu Yi, I need to stay a little longer because my mother is ill" by phone or e-mail so I don't think it's the reason why they broke up). So let's see in 2 weeks what these papers are about, but one of my theories is that Shi De discovered he has a very, very serious illness when he already was in America, and he needed to stay here to be cured. Something like that is not a thing you can tell with phone or e-mail ("by the way Shu Yi, I'm very ill and I could die in a few weeks..." ) so as time passes, he prefers letting Shu Yi think that he abandonned him rather than telling him he could die in a few month and seeing Shu Yi sacrifice himself and sacrifice his future to be his "nurse" when he's still so young and has a good job. And he came back to Taiwan when he's cured, they fight because Shu Yi doesn't know about it and Shi De doesn't want to explain that to him because he doesn't want Shu Yi to feel guilty about his bad attitude. Shu Yi's father could have known about it, and the "baby"thing is something else which isn't directly about this problem. Somebody said on this website that the reason why the scriptwriter wanted to produce this story was Shi De's character. But we'll see in two weeks.
And anyway, I'm here just for Shu Yi and Shi De so...
