I found this 42 very satisfying. Heung Soo finally likable. He’s on his way to be more responsible in his relationship and career. Yes I’m old and think that pop dance stuff isn’t suitable for a grown man like him but whatever. Beom n Seri are okay. It’s happened so I hope to see more cuteness in their relationship. KS mom and Ja Dong are so cute. Helper Kim was too funny and their watermelon break scene was comedic relief. GS children Bom and Gyeol are so matured and their acceptance of their dad’s new love is so sweet. Kang Soo is so sweet and his adoptive family is the perfect one for him. I love his sharing with his bro Beom and that hug from him was perfect. Chun So’s wife has finally become a decent human and am so glad that wrapped nicely. If i could have influenced the film director, i would have suggested for them to have a warm parting hug as closure. They were married for many years, it would have been appropriate and decent. Lovely Mi Sun is a fantastic woman so I’m happy they can be free to enjoy life together. Kuku Tak is a man baby and despite his tantrums, he’s okay, harmless but annoying. As drama goes, i don’t take the divorce seriously but we’ll see.
Overall, this long weekend drama is so well written with it’s meaningful flow I’m happy.
The thing about this drama adoption is that Kang Soo is doing well. He was raised and loved well by his adoptive family. The push and pull of Kuku and his wife, her not leaving him alone when he’s perfectly fine is tiresome. I know it’s all for drama purposes and extension but being spontaneous in all sorts of things in his life is not normal. Come out and identify yourself and your purposes. Tired of her tears and while it may of been touching before it’s overboard boring now. “You abandoned me and stole from my family”. How do answer to that even with the most pitiful shaking sorrowful voice. They are my ffwd addition. lol
I felt bad for DS. Throughout the series he was always in command and confident in the way he carried himself. With his MIL, he almost looks dumbfounded and demoralized. Well he sure went way extra to court and woo GS so I expect him to handle it almost instantly just like he won over his BIL’s. Hwaiting DS! It helps him though that his kids like GS so I think he’ll continue his streak of championing his lady love. ☺️
We all have different tastes and preferences so it’s understandable, but may I ask why you don’t see the chemistry?…
No, chemistry to me is seeing the onscreen connection, whether it be the way they interact, look at each other, and yes physically too although not necessarily in these dramas. From the screen, it connects to the viewer. For example, the leads. Not physical at all, but the way they come across the screen is two people very connected. Like I said, I hated their storyline from beginning. But then even if it’s bad writing, the actors can totally wing it. So I guess it’s them? Anyways, just an honest opinion as I skip their scenes.
Is there ever a korean romance story without social class distinctions. MIL looking down on GS is just crass. Of course she’s in the high society so it’s normal to think this way (i guess?) but it always irritates me.
I find Beom and Seri relationship artificially boring. Maybe it’s because the onset of it was a poorly thought out storyline. It’s never connected from there and now they’re in a full blown relationship, I just can’t see the chemistry. I feel they’re trying their best but it’s long dead from this viewer at least.
The nerve. He is so out of touch. Has no idea of how his wife is broken from loss of her child yet that’s the consolation he offers? What a slap and punch to her soul. Unbelievably insensitive. Man if she changes her mind….hope she sticks to her words and walk away for good.
This just gets worse. Qian Hao getting all the screen, don’t know exactly his problem, just a terrible vile human, and nothing excuses his behavior. He’ll probably be forgiven. What a mess of a story.
Feel like we’re just pulled along with leads silly acting. All that crappy make believe like they’re gonna wonk wonk but we all knew she’s going after her son. Yawn
About the ending. From the uppity nose of MIL, I think he wants to protect his new love and cautiously introduce her. From mil expression it seems that someone already cued her in. Professor? Anyways, we know that GS fought hard to win DS and that he’ll go swinging for her. I think I understand his caution. We just don’t understand the mil yet, but I can tell she fits into the professor’s outlook of people and their places in society 🤨
Very enjoyable episode and what a great progress of things. While the exes are an eye sore, writer(s) have been doing good so I’m gonna trust it will wrap good. I continue to rave about GS n DS relationship building. G r e a T!
Hu Jiaojiao as a whiny romantic fool is so sad. With the way her hubby treats her, she should run far away. She should make a choice, her baby or husband. With the way he treats her she could lose her baby.
