It’s good to a point. Everything that happened has reasons. Got it. Here’s the thing though that is irritating. Writer will go around and around stringing us along while trying to decide which direction to go towards end. Then very last episode towards end mark things are enlightened. The end has main couple meet up after three years just looking at each other a few feet. The end! Are you kidding me? Dissatisfying.
Visiting again after last episode was out bc someone commented to what I said while ongoing. My surprise is the downgrade of rating. Seems like some type of ppl worked really hard to make sure this is so. Not that I disqualify people’s opinions. However, while this wasn’t perfect to a tee as I also admit but overall, if not maintaining the score it had to higher, this result is definitely the hard work of ppl who just don’t want others to be successful. Then I try to imagine these type of people, who they are, jobs they have, family background, educational, relationships, and the world we live in with all the chaos and challenges. Aligning to the hatred seen all around, it’s so sad that’s the real life we are experiencing…especially behind screens.
I am happy for this drama primarily for one reason. A young girl dealt a super setback for working very hard whom we don’t know if we’ll see again on screen at least is reminded to the public that she had given us good entertainment for her talents. That’s all she is to anyone. An actress on screen whom we can choose to watch her dramas or not. I happen to like her work and I honestly think this was highly successful on their acting part. I have some opinions on the plot line in the latter part but that falls on the writers/directors. Nevertheless, it’s a very good drama and she and all cast members did a fantastic job.
Lusi is loved by her people (except perhaps the younger ones in her age range????) and as an older international viewer, I applaud that. It’s what matters. Appreciation, generosity, respect, love, is a world language we could all use.
I can just stop at ep 1 and very satisfied. 😆 What she did in hospital room is my pent anger release at all the hordes of dramas where the fl is abused by in laws, mistresses, etc. lol
That's in the last episode so personally haven't seen this yet (I'm watching on Viki). But I got spoiled the whole…
I appreciate your perspectives. Don’t know what kind of impression I gave by my original comment bout not liking the addition of reveal. You definitely made some very good points which I am in agreement. It doesn’t mar my satisfaction with the drama. I also have some thoughts of what they could’ve but as it ended, it’s satisfying. Again, thanks for interactive sharing.

I’m seeing your point if that happens to be the reason. Because of where it was exposed and ended like that, it actually made me mad. Why not end it he’s Haomings son, he and XY his parents. As you say, ended like the beginning, in lies. That’s why in my mind, could another season be forthcoming. I hardly think that would happen but yeah, just active thinking I guess. Thanks
I don’t like that they inserted the part about Haochen not being his son and then left it like that. I’m only wondering if they left it like that with a possibility of a second season at some point in future? Otherwise it was totally unnecessary to add that. What you all think?
Both women confessed their love. YR has become confident and in confessing, she’s starting to stop taking the back seat and courageously go after her hearts desire. They’re great friends but at least they respect each other to fight fairly for JP. We shall see.
Finished. I’m very happy for Zhao Lusi. After her trials and tribulations, this highly anticipated show seals her big impact on the growing attention to cdramas. She delivered to the best of her abilities. Whether she returns (hoping she does) I’m happy she’s in recovery phase and focusing on her well being. I’m very happy as well for William Chang. He expressed his reservations for the role but man did he deliver. I so appreciate his acting and whatever drew the director to cast him, he is perfect. He and Lusi complement each other’s personality and shone their characters to a tee. As for rest of cast, superb! Everyone were so good. Congratulations to the entire team. It’s been a pleasure to be a part of this community as we remarked and shared. We can agree to disagree, vast in locations, age groups, but we build growth in communities from our common likes. Til next show, peace and see ya.
30. Purposely I’m prolonging completing the drama just because I want to take the time to enjoy the ending. Happy I did because this episode is so beautiful. A hurting child, emotionally, heals away from home. Therapeutic to be away from the chaos, vent and release in an unfamiliar, yet a warm welcoming atmosphere, is a process of healing. Prefect set up. Along with the child, are two adults who are just as well getting to each other more deeply. May be brief, but healing is on the way for broken parents, child relationship. In all, I’d say the central theme of this episode is HEALING. It’s done in a wonderful way. BUT, Qiao Lin n Lin Tao?? Whoa. I did not see that coming. Yikes. Hopefully there’s a good explanation because I did not expect this.
30. No wonder the world is screwed over. The greed and scheming of people who have more than enough is never enough. Yes it’s a drama but it can’t be far off about people in high places or the top who manipulates and twist to want more and more. Sad that HM dad’s business partner did this.
Haochen. So sad. This child will be a heartthrob and will continue the line of awesome entertainment in adult roles as well. (Fu Bo Han ). Great acting. Haoming, in all his reservations is hurting and it bounces off the screen. I seriously like this acting from William Chang. Wow.
I am surprised to see a few comments about the later episodes not being as good as the start. Episode 28 is one…
I’m taking each ending eps slowly. I also enjoyed 28 and felt its connection of what they intended. The older couple, the play, the roses, Jialang, etc.

This climatic vibe towards the ending is good.
