We need more dramas like this.
I need to start keeping a look out for all these new Chinese lgbt shows. This is the second one I have watched this year that has truly blown my mind! I remember watching a few in the 2010s but they never really captivated me.This was such a beautiful watch and the cinematography is just phenomenal. I was reminded of call me by your name. One of the OST which I love actually sounded like a rendition of ‘Mystery Of Love’. The team were definitely inspired by the movie and books.
Glad this gave us the happy ending we all craved for in CMBYN.

Quite disappointing
I was not meaning to watch this so soon but seeing the hype online I thought to give it a go, especially after finding out some of the creative team behind it were also involved in “KinnPorsche”…but I was highly disappointed. It just didn’t deliver like it should, considering the plot had so much potential. I was honestly glad it was over.
Overall not an awful watch.….but will I be rewatching it? Probably not.

Slow paced…but well done.
Went into this with such a high expectations due to the ratings. Wish I hadn’t, because if I had watched it without one I believe I would have had a better viewing experience.Aside from that, it’s a well written drama, definitely had a higher potential but was just very slow paced, which in hindsight is quite common with J-dramas. But I couldn’t wait for it to be over. Which usually isn’t the case with me - as I quite enjoy slow paced storytelling.

Park Shin Hye needs to play more feisty roles!
Honestly this exceeded my expecting. I didn’t go in expecting much but I ended up loving every second of it.I admit the supernatural element had a lot of plot holes but the actors were so good that it didn’t make the experience unbearable. I’m actually genuinely surprised at how much I really liked this.
Also, might I add that this might be Park Shin Hye’s best work yet. She needs to play more feisty roles.
We saw a little bit of that in the first episode of ‘The Doctors’…..But this was fantastic! The feistiness was there from start to finish, it didn’t fizzle out. I love seeing kdrama female leads kick ass.
Loved every minute!

A joy to watch.
This was honestly such a joy to watch. I didn’t want it to end.It had a few heart wrenching moments too. It was pretty late for the realisation, but I did love the protagonist character development. Genuinely was not expecting much going into this but ended up loving every minute of it.
While I hope for a sequel, I can’t help but feel that was the perfect way to end it.

What a let down.
This sequel was definitely not what I expected. The cast did a brilliant job but I wish the screenwriters hadn’t used the trope they decided to go for. It’s unforgivable in my opinion. But I guess the writers wanted us to feel those emotions. At the end of the day life isn’t black and white, it’s complicated. And the hearts want what it wants in the end. In all, I would have probably been satisfied without this sequel. But I do appreciate the work. It was definitely not an easy story to tell. Was this review helpful to you?

As much as I loved the show I was not happy with the ending, I felt everything was packed into one episode.....I'm probably just been a greedy viewer but I need some type of closure, and I think the only way is to have a season 2. Like they're so many questions that needs to be answered...like did 21st century Hae-Soo go back to her normal life?...what happened after she left the museum?...what actually did happen to the Goryeo era Hae-Soo when 21st century Hae-Soo took over her body?....So many questions and I think they can only be answered by having another season. Which is probably never gonna happen.
I really hope they do end up having another season because when you think about it, the other versions had a sequel.

Oh, this was brilliant!
This was absolutely fantastic. Loved every minute of it, I cannot recommend enough.Japanese BL can be quite frustrating to watch at times, but this was so good. I didn't want to end.
While some might find the show to be very slow paced, I do feel like it worked for the story. I was also a bit sceptical about the cheating aspect of it , but the delivery wasn’t unbearable to watch. Highly recommend.

Exceeded my expectations!
I rarely watch shows while they’re airing, so my plan was to wait until this one finished before starting it — but I failed. I saw a clip online that drew me in, and I pretty much devoured the first nine episodes. Thankfully, I only had to wait three more weeks for the final ones.
I really liked it, and I truly hope there’s a season 2.
The only issue I had was with the makeup. The cast’s makeup was overly done — borderline cakey at times.
At first, I assumed it was intentional because the main leads are celebrities, but I noticed it with the side characters too. I really hope they fix that in the next season (if we get one — fingers tightly crossed!).

This surprised me
I went into this not expecting much cause I find shows produced by Gmmtv are not usually well fleshed out.But I was quite surprised with this one. The acting wasn’t the best (especially from the side characters) but it was an entertaining watch. And it did have several cringe moments but the main leads chemistry made up for it.
Would I ever watch it again? Probably not, but it was a fun.

This was a beautiful watch…..with a lot of angst.
I vaguely remembered what happened in ‘Unintentional Love’ but I do remember loving these two cause their chemistry was unmatched….I enjoyed this sequel as I do love a good angsty show, and this was done right - but, the ending definitely left me a bit unsatisfied.
I was expecting a time jump…or more scenes post ‘Unintentional Love’. A shame really.
It was also nice to see Gong Chan’s little cameo. It was to be expected, but it would have been even nicer to see him with Cha Seo Won.

This was such a brilliant watch.
A realistic look of queer couples without fetishisation. Loved it! We need more of this….South Korean & many conservative countries need more of this…..Having this would educate so many people & make them realise queer people exist too and are like everyone else.Yon Tae-yun’s story was definitely the highlight for me. I couldn’t help but be happy for him…..Literally bawled my eyes out. I’m so glad he had such a supportive girlfriend (Min-Jun) and mum all through the process. It couldn’t have been easy.
I’m happy for the other couples too. I really do hope they all have a happy life, even if their relationship does not work out.

Oh dear….
I have so much to say about this but I truly do not know how to put my thoughts into words without it becoming a tangent so I’m gonna try my best.Someone described it has a proper queer movie & I could not agree more! It had everything you could ask for…passion..angst…EVERYTHING!
I started off the movie gutted I hadn’t watch it a lot sooner…if only I had remembered why I initially didn’t watch it the first time it was on my radar…If only.
It’s honestly been a while since a queer movie moved me - or got a reaction this did out of me…I literally bawled my eyes out (non stop) in the remaining half of the movie.
I do have to say I went in blind not fully reading the synopsis due to the fact that many synopsis on here tend to contain spoilers, then about 5 minutes in I thought to come back and read it properly. While the thought of something tragic happening did cross my mind. I was not expecting what I got cause I thought ‘gone are the days of queer cinema with sad endings’…..How naive I was.
Lastly, I know this is fictional - but, Kosuke was definitely a godsend to that family and I could not help but hurt for him.
The cast did a fantastic job portraying these nuance characters. We need more of this in Asian queer cinema…of course with more happy endings.

Heartwarming watch
This was an heartwarming watch. I only watched it because I recently discovered its tv adaptation. Thought it would be ideal to watch this before the new one adaptation. There were a few dialogues I disagreed with watching this but putting myself Sugihara’s shoes definitely makes you understand his way of thinking.
It all does come down to cultural differences I think. Looking forward to watching the TV adaptation.

A ‘meh’ from me
I was hoping I would love this but I truly struggled. I’m not one to skip scenes but towards the end I couldn’t help but do so.And to be honest, I was not expecting much as I tend to avoid watching pre 2020 Thai BLs cause I remember how much I struggled with them back then.
But watching ‘Not me’ prior to this gave me a big push cause I wanted to see ‘Off & Gun’ in something else.
While I wouldn’t recommend this, it’s not a full right off. It’s more of a reminder for me to not bother with older Thai BLs.
The scenes with the main couples were great though. They did a good job with what they had. And Gun is a fantastic actor per usual. He has a way of showing emotions in a way many actors in this genre aren’t able to.
