I probably misunderstood then, since you also said nothing happened in 8 episodes. To me it felt like it was boring to you, but 7 is considered good. Below your average is not the same as the average of course. Either way it's not surprising to see it around 8-9 if most people that liked it rate it a 9-10, and if people who find it below "their" average rate it a 7.You were wondering why K-drama always had these ratings, one of the reasons is that most people don't use the rating system properly. Even though you seem to truly consider this show good so this doesn't apply to you.
i feel like korean shows always have these overrated ratings lolsnothing happened in 8 episodes. and the rating…
I am genuinely confused by people like you as you seem to imply the show is below average but still rated it a 7. Of course the average is going to be higher if people that find it boring or dislike it gives it a 7 out of 10 🤔
Not really because this drama is an honest critique on Korean society. There are three instances of them showing…
The drama is mostly focused on the FL, which shows that women can be strong (even stronger than most men) and in many ways (emotionally and physically). Women being delicate is a stereotype, they don't have to be delicate or "feminine" to considered as women. The FL is not less of a woman just because she is strong or that she is sleeping around (not saying it's what you implied here). She is not like "other girls" for sure though. Feminism is about equality, the FL is constantly reminding the other women and the audience that they shouldn't be looked down upon and stick together against men that misbehave (through cheating mostly) instead of fighting with each other. On multiple occasions she is saying that it's unfair for women to be treated a certain and punished for something while men are not. To me it really felt like they were showing this angle and this is why it was also refreshing. Men are shown to be extremely manipulative if not misogynistic at times too. In the end it was sort of fighting stereotypes and assumptions on and from both men and women. I do agree with you that people tend to perceive feminism that way, which is why I commentted. I know you know the difference and that you were only replying based on what's commonly interpreted so no worries this was just a general reply. About the show being feminist we can agree to disagree, as it probably depends on our own personal views and beliefs haha
I just hope that Korean society is not really like that and they are exaggerating...
Unfortunately Korean society can be extremely nosy with their idols/celebrities. Some parts were definitely exaggerated, but all their doings are analyzed and criticized by citizens. I believe this drama was also trying to expose that aspect.
Many celebrities committed suicide because of the pressure and toxic behavior of some, especially online. On a positive note, they are actively fighting cyberbullying and working on laws to hold people accountable.

Feminism =/= anti male. This is actually feminism done right in my opinion, with a strong FL without having to degrade men. Calling this balanced is reinforcing that point as feminism is about equality.
It was great overall, but I have a hard time understanding why Namiki left after Yae confessed she liked him at the restaurant.
Maybe it was because he felt like he wouldn't be able to get his first love back (with her memories), or maybe it was guilt (because of what happened with his new now ex gf)... Either way it felt weird to leave to a different country after trying so hard to find Yae.
Still worth watching of course, great photography, acting, OST.
- Osung is most likely dead according to the investigators. They are wondering if it's a murder, not just an attempt. - Not sure about this one, but he has personality disorder. He did seem to genuinely care about Chanmi. - This is explored, and the entire arc is put aside (Osung and his family/father). This isn't really relevant to the story though, the father was mostly used for other reasons (covering up). Osung already confessed he did something, so we could consider his father is aware of some of it. - Timing was a bit odd but it made sense to le. Kook Jihyun hated Osung and was disgusted by him. It also explained the weird pictures he took of her. But it was weird that it was not brought up at that point too, and she was like whatever. I also feel like it reinforced Osung's hate for Sooyeon, since Kook Jihyun liked him a lot. - It is said that the red bracelet still brings them luck. They insisted that the tumor might never grow several time, this is pretty much a happy ending. - Lack of attention to details, it happened a few times in the show and was really annoying (like Jaebum's outfit when he swapped with Sooyeon).
Of course we cannot have all the answers we want or as much details as wd would like, but some answers are given even though not everyone will find them satisfying. Hopefully this clarifies some of the points still!
I started to lose some interest in Korean shows since last year. I found it hard to continue and finish the episodes.…
Jaebum is either in jail or a psychiatric institute (locked up). He was arrested for two murders, there is no way he can get away with this even if it is because of mental illness.
What kills me about this show is that they could’ve made the same exact show without the brain tumor plot line…
He is going to die in 6 months, the show made sure to clarify that aspect many time. And based on the last scenes and the luck bravelet, he is still alive even though she graduated and join the marines (this also implies it's been a few months since).
what "exactly" happened to jaebum(ik he got arrested but yk like i wanted to see him talk to chanmi or smth whatv)…
Gi Sung is most likely dead based on what the investigators are saying, refferring to it as a potential murder not just an attempt.
Jaebum did have a conversation with Chanmi who dissociated his two personalities, we can assume she "forgives" him, asking his "twin" to leave his body and that she knows he isn't a monster. He was arrested for 2 murders, he will either go to jail or a psychiatric institute. This would depend on how effective his lawyers are at proving he suffers from mental illness. Since he is coming from a rich family I would bet he doesn't go to a regular prison and will be "treated", he would still be locked up though.
last 2 episodes were kinda logically illogical. it could have been more realistic as the plot was so exciting
A bit let down by how it wasn't as grounded as some other aspects (and not realistic enough in the end). Still worth watching imo, but wasted its potential.
This actress is amazing and so talented. Fell in love with her work since World of the Married even though she was the antagonist. She can portray very different characters with wide range of emotions. Can't wait to see more!
It will have a different cast and story which is probably the best idea if they really wanted to push for a second season. I doubt it will be as good as the first one, and it needs to have some kind of connection or share similar themes to be part of the same series.
