I thought episode 6 was probably the worst to this point.Of course Pi has changed a bit...his mother is a bitch…
I too would like a Mork-type stalker. Ugh, disagree about Mom: She sat there with that awful, accusing/disappointed/sour Asian Mom face which she aimed like a laser beam when he came in the door. Don't buy for a second she was afraid the book was "going to fall." It was up under the top bunk, how did she see it in the first place? And if it DID fall...why would it matter? why would you worry about a paperback book falling onto a bed...afraid of it being damaged? And ALSO if it really was in danger of falling and that was her concern, she could have tucked it better into place. If she saw the photo while doing that, she should have put it back whre it had been and pretended she saw nothing. Please. She was snooping.

I can't wait until she finds out BOTH of, or two of, her sons are gay. I hope she has the worst Asian Mom Stroke ever and checks out.

I feel the chemistry from Mork, but not Pi. And I also don't see why Mork would like a rude and whiney little…
Not to worry...I do NOT have Mork on a pedestal. No one is perfect. and without a different explanation, he appears to be stalking Pi 24/7. But Pi's character is written as such an unlikable person that anyone put up against him would seem pretty perfect by comparison.

Is any film adaptation EVER as good as the novel from which its made? I don't think I've ever seen a film made from a novel I've read that didn't disappoint to some degree. I enjoy both much more when I see the film, THEN read the novel.

I don't "hate" the character of Pi, I just find him irritating and not anywhere near Mork's level of awesomeness. :D Which could actually be a cute plot-point, that dork/stud dichotomy, but it's not working for me here.

I'd sort of agree with that, in that I see Pond TRYING but he can't do it by himself and I just don't think Phuwin had the acting chops. He's in over his head. Mork's combo of looks, charisma and kindness would pretty much be irresistible to pretty much everyone, this is true. :D

It's funny how differently people experience the same show. To me there is NO chemistry between Phuwin and Pond.…
I laughed my ass off the first two episodes and then again with the over-the-top, bat-shit crazy Sikh thing, but the humor's been flat to me the last couple of eps.

Wow. The acting was terrible, especially from Pi. He is not equipped to do believable drama yet. That fake crying…
Agreed! :)

The last hour of this made up for any earlier shortcomings (this regards the Pete/Kao BL Cut). New and Tay let out all the stops and the chemistry and cuteness got me all gooey. Fun. Enjoyed the beginning of SunMork too...even though Mork sure did a quick 180 from dick to sweet.

New left his shirt on too often.

Watching the Pete/Kao BL cut of this for the second time after about a year. Random thoughts after about 3/4 of the way through:

New's lips are the Best Supporting Actors of this series.
I am shipping SunKao big-time, but it was cute when Pete finally got it together and came butting into their growing interaction.
The pace of the direction/dialogue is soooooooooo freaking slow sometimes.
Terrible drunk acting. So bad it was good.
Thada is my third favorite character: so laid back, friendly, low-maintenance, not-nosy, accepting, handsome, etc. Bad hair but I'll overlook that.
PeteKao's first real, major make-out was pretty good, but nowhere near Together With Me caliber.
New should not be allowed to wear a shirt. Ever.
P'Sun's little, shadowy mustache is skeevy/sleezy looking. Funny how it comes and goes.
Sandee is awesome. I love her and the way she bosses those four big guys around.
June is a great, original character: Obnoxious but sweet, loud but sincere, nosy but supportive, annoying but a true-blue friend. He makes me laugh a lot.
I find New to be a quite good actor. Most of his dialogue/expressions/reactions/etc. are subtle and feel very authentic.
Rain is such a basically good/nice guy. It makes no sense to me that he would hang around with Mork the giant walking douche bag.
Most of the fight scenes aren't terrible, but the one with the evil gang behind the bar was kind of hilariously bad as far as choreography goes.
Whoever did the post-fight makeup on the guys' faces should be shot. Always looks like they passed around a container of rouge and called it a day.
I like the BL cut of this series quite a bit. I don't feel like PeteKao have passionate, intense chemistry, but the attraction feels real and low-key/easy. Kao is such a sweet/patient/ gentleman. It's touching how he just sort of...waits for Pete to come around, even from the beginning when Pete is so ugly to him. He doesn't engage in vengeful or spiteful behavior.

As far as what I choose to watch, I would suggest you mind your own business. As I said in another comment, I've invested in six episodes already, I might as well see how it goes from here. Maybe it will get even worse and I wouldn't want to miss out on that.

What are "these shows" to which you are referring? Can you name a few for me? Why did you put "way short" in quotation marks? I didn't write that, so you're certainly not quoting me.

Finally, what kind of show combines "light-hearted" with "direct" in tone? Can you name some shows as examples? Does that actually mean anything? Wouldn't a drama be more likely to be "direct" than a "light-hearted" comedy, which often use miscommunication, indirect plot lines, etc., to come up with the laughs?

Now I'm thinking maybe you are the mother of the director.

wth? You want me to go to multiple comments and do...what? I'm going to assume you are joking.

And no, why would it be "weird" that I'm one of the "few" who find this episode to have sucked? In what way would it be "weird?" To me it's weird that you think it was so great, but as I already sort of mentioned, different strokes for different folks. Like what you want and I'll do the same.

Do you normally scroll through comments, determine what the majority of commenters are saying and then adopt that opinion as your own? No, no you don't. And I don't either. So it doesn't matter to me what you think.

Are you related to one of the actors or something?

Really! U don't see and feel the chemistry? They way they loo,k at each makes me hot. Its opposites: one is sexy…
Yup. Well, that's what makes life interesting...everyone has their own perspective and something that's wonderful to you can seem terrible to me, right? No, I feel NO chemistry at all. I always feel the actors PRETENDING to be drawn together, but for me there's nothing there.

What is a "good progressive relationship?"
I gotchya. But it's the un-progressive relationships that make for all the fun drama and comedy, no? :D

Agreed. It's terrible to horrible. Phuwin's acting is an embarrassment.

You know what’s bad about this series? It’s the director and screenwriter. They made a lot of questionable…
I agree with you about the writing and direction, but I would add in BAD acting, especially from Phuwin. He can be funny, but his dramatic scenes are...horribly amateurish.

Although this series is a bit cheesy, and I cringe at some of the actin, it's really beginning to grow on me
omg...Phuwin is a terrible actor. His dramatic scenes this time around were so amateur.

Watched episode 6. This series may be one of my favourites. Of course is not a masterpiece but Phuwin's and Pond's…
It's funny how differently people experience the same show. To me there is NO chemistry between Phuwin and Pond. Pond is entirely out of Phuwin's league, as an actor and as a character.

Wow. The acting was terrible, especially from Pi. He is not equipped to do believable drama yet. That fake crying in the rain was embarrassing.
There is no chemistry between Mork and Pi. Why would Mork like Pi to begin with? That's never been explained. That entire supposed attraction feels entirely artificial to me.

Tbh... I'm really happy with ep 6It set a lot of things straight...Nan telling Pi that Pi no more likes him,Pi's…
I thought episode 6 was probably the worst to this point.

Of course Pi has changed a bit...his mother is a bitch to whom he's afraid to come out. She sat there like an accusing crone with that vinegar frown on her face when he walked into his bedroom. He feels no support from her and he has to hide who he is. And she looks through his belongings, snooping.

I can't imagine what they're going to do for six more episodes. This has stalled out.

Mork is doing all the right things to show that he is the perfect knight in shining armour for Pi... I just hope…
