I hate the fan service more than I hate the fans, because they feed the beast, if you are not together just don't…
OK, I just watched both videos. First of all, I could be wrong of course but I see four actors having a lot of fun doing part of what thousands of other less successful actors only dream of: Being cast in a successful show and doing promotional work for it. It is a gay/BL series so it would be weird if there wasn't some gay/BL vibes to it. I can't understand a word of what they say but the entire video seems to be precisely ABOUT their lovey-dovey scenes in the series itself so why wouldn't they flirt and act silly while they are doing the promo?

ChenTu are having more fun with it, especially Chen, and taking it further than the other two, but again, this all comes with the territory and Tu and he seem to be having fun. No one looks awkward or uncomfortable, you'd be able to tell if they were.

PengWei come off more as two straight guys hanging out so obviously they are not being "forced" to do anything either. For some reason Peng comes off as the most appealing of the four IRL. I like his easy manner and ready laugh/smile.

Anyway, why let a few crazy shippers on the Internet ruin the fun for everyone? ignore them.

WHY WHY WHY do you keep spreading this stuff around and promoting what you claim to object to? I am going to watch these vids now simply because you keep posting them and now I'm curious. I never would have done so otherwise and I doubt I'm the only one who has reacted that way. Are you sure you don't work for the production company? :D

"Violence?" Seriously? Taking photos is violence? You're never going to stop a small minority of crazy people on the Internet spreading bullshit. So why give them all this attention? I certainly hope the studios prepare their actors for what's coming as a result of their appearances in promo vids and fan-service. If they don't, they are stupid. And any young woman who dates a BL star like Max has got to know what's headed her way. I would suggest she and you stay OFF social media altogether. It's a twisted/sick place to begin with and unhealthy people are going to do unhealthy things. So why look at it or read it? Of course what these psychos on the Internet do is not right or good but it's also never going to stop, so deal with it.

Serious question: I have watched exactly ONE actor interview/game show/whatever from ALL the many dozens of BLs and movies I have watched. Why do you seek out this stuff and spread the links to it around if you find it objectionable? I don't get that? Ignore it, don't promote it.

Personally, I don't think it is true to say "MOST people cannot separate..." I don't think that's accurate at all. I think its a small, fringe group of crazies who make trouble as a result of fan service. But surely the agencies AND the actors know this is coming and are prepared for it...it's part of the job. Are there really Thai BL actors who have not "survived" shipping and fan-service? I mean, who have actually died or killed themselves as a direct result of that phenomenon?

I'm curious as to why you hate the shipping? I know it is more crazy-intense in the world of BL, but it goes on…
Well, once you're 18, at least in the USA, you're an adult and can do what you want. I think lots of 20 year-olds are more mature than a lot of 70 year-olds. People get to do what they choose and then pay the price. That's how life works. It is up to the actor to seek advice and guidance and then weigh the costs and the rewards. If they find a certain aspect of stardom to be not worth the price well, then, they can quit the industry. Who's going to "ban" a clause in a private contract? The government? The industry itself? This sort of thing has been going on in entertainment at least for a century or more.

I hate how savage and inhuman the entertainment biz, and lots of other businesses are, especially K-Pop (I love Jonghyun so can relate), which is insane but I think the best thing is for those who are motivated to do so to shine as much light as possible on what actually goes on. Unfortunately, that too has been happening for decades but the call of stardom almost always outweighs the fear of negative consequences. Actors' unions in the USA have been somewhat successful in fighting some of the worst abuses but it is still pretty much up to the individual what they agree to.

Parents see dollar signs too, unfortunately. I wouldn't take everything presented in Lovely Writer, which I tried to watch but found boring, as though it were Gospel truth.

Well, I thanked you for your well thought-out reasoning and perspective, and because there are LOTS of abnormal, non-understanding people on these comment boards.

Don''t get me wrong, I think the put-on fan service fake gay stuff is silly and ridiculous, but these public appearances are a standard means through which production companies all over the world promote their shows and are built into the actors' contracts. They are not being "forced" to do anything. No one has a gun to their head, and they do have time outside of public appearances to some degree, they're not doing this 24/7 though I'll admit that during a promotional period they spend lots of time on the road doing this stuff.

If you don't want to do fan service promotional events more than you want to be an actor, then I guess you shouldn't sign a contract and do a show.

Everyone should ask themselves the simple question: if two consenting adults, gay or straight, who are not blood…
I agree completely. But let me ask you what you think about this: What about two gay brothers who ARE full, blood-related, who fall in love? What if they spent most of their time apart growing up but when they ended up in the same place for a time they were drawn together? What if they DID grow up together? Does that matter once they are of age? There is zero chance of reproductive problems as there won't be any reproducing, so that argument is gone. Is there some kind of universal moral red line written in the stars for all to see that they should not cross to be together as a couple? If there is a red line, who wrote it? Why? Of what use is it? To protect other people from having icky feelings?

What about a straight couple who are full-blood brother/sister? Is it really anybody's business? How often does it even happen that it should be on society's radar as a concern? Almost never, that's how often.

I always end up chuckling about commenters getting worked up over non blood-related siblings being in relationship when I remind myself that my own son and his four years-younger step-sister have been married for nearly ten years. It's of absolutely no consequence to anyone; no one cares, no one really even noticed much. We just married them off and that was that. They live in the small town where they both grew up too, so it's not as though people who wanted to gossip didn't have the opportunity. lol

Do we have such a glut of love in this world such that we should automatically squelch it when the circumstances challenge our often-questionable belief systems?

Don't bother trying to understand the SJW crowd here. They live for the thrill of faux outrage. I also keep asking why they don't stop watching, as do many other commenters. Usually there's no answer to that. lol They watch because they love it.

I'm curious as to why you hate the shipping? I know it is more crazy-intense in the world of BL, but it goes on regarding straight actors too and it is often deliberately stoked by the production company's PR/Mktg. department. They know any publicity is good publicity. :D Where did you read or hear about this alleged shipping?

Well, there's a good reason he's always the last to know: The sons and the mom knew he would freak out and couldn't handle the truth...so they kept it from him as long as they could. A very human reaction, though of course the truth always comes out in the end.

I'm not trying to be rude or a smart ass, but seriously, wouldn't this be a great cause for some deep reflection…
And a good fuck off to you as well, dear. If I sound pathetic and sad to (all caps warnng!) YOU then I know I'm doing my job. BTW, I love your comments on using all caps, and then you proceed to USE ALL CAPS. lol I try to use them on a limited basis in a vain attempt to get through to people like you.

Not sure why you bothered to respond, as you refuted nothing I wrote. I'm older than dirt, so willing to bet I've watched more of (all caps warning!) EVERYTHING than have you. I've also watched more people like you try to shame and censor what other people watch and listen to for far longer than you've been doing the shaming and censoring so please spare me your attempt to portray yourself as wizened and wise. You aren't. You're just an age-old (all caps warning!) TYPE and you've been around since time began, wagging your finger at anyone, anywhere who might be having a naughty thought or having a good time.

You know, you're right: I DO encourage and champion the virtues of free thought, free expression and the ideal of a shame-free society, especially in the arts and entertainment. Got a problem with that? Great! I'm hitting the correct nerve.

As for you being puritanical or not, your words and actions here indicate in the affirmative. Prudes never think they're prudes.

Are you sensing that I'm "right?" Maybe it's because I am.

Oh my... ANOTHER self-righteous SJW. I don't care what you claim to be employed as, which is apparently so secret that you cant' share what it is, but if you really are a PROFESSIONAL Social Justice Warrior then good for you: You've managed to con someone into paying you for your puritanical/censorious/church-lady/busy-body/sex-phobic instincts and that's quite an accomplishment.

IF you are by any chance a SOCIAL WORKER, I call bullshit. I have three social workers in my family and two more as close friends. Their work has zero to do with the self-assigned tasks of Social Justice Warriors, who fancy themselves super-heroes fighting thought-crime and free-thinking wherever they go, using the plight of ACTUAL victims and REAL injustice to further virtue-fascism and justify their sex-hysteria. The SWs I know are not THAT. I suspect maybe you ARE though.

I don't give a fuck what you are fucking tired of in my regard. I don't care if you think I write too much. Your opinion does not matter to me. SJW IS an insult and I use it as one with regularity because people like you are in comments here daily trying to effect/limit/control what the rest of us are allowed to see and hear, moralizing about fictional stories and generally spreading the stink of your self-righteous moralizing all over the place.

Think of me as an air freshener, value-sized. I'll have to see if I can arrange to get paid for MY schtick, such as you have done with yours.

STOP WATCHING BLs. YOU CAN'T HANDLE IT.

You're dodging the question and are also lying. XS had sex. He did not pass out, at least not until AFTER he was done having sex, so I have no idea what you think you're referencing with that.

Ummm...the reason I wouldn't leave comments or the show is that I am actually enjoying the watch, am supportive of the series and am very interested to read what others have to say.

People like you claim to dislike at least half the show and are here every week bitching about how immoral and problematic and non-PC everything is,. Why would someone like that keep watching the show and coming to comment? It's not an "attack" to ask those questions. You're saying it is as a misdirect to avoid answering.
