Curious as to what you mean by "the sexualization of the characters..." Could you expand on that a bit please?
Why do you think it is not funny? Is there something offensive about it or just the way it was performed didn't work for you?

I know it's comedy and that's ok, but using braces doesn't make a person look ugly.
Yeah, and you don't generally take them off on a whim before it's time to do so. I'm sure Pi's mom would be pissed to know , after all the money spent on his mouth, that Pi just had the braces removed because some teenage idiots said to do so.

Oh. I thought that was funny. People are sexual, be they male or female, and sex-related jokes have been around for thousands of years.

I’m sick of flashbacks
Generally speaking, there are way too many gimmicks of all kinds in this show. It doesn't trust the story to keep us interested, so there are a thousand camera, special-effects, physical comedy, narration, time jumps back and forth, sight gags, etc., etc. going on as a means of keeping our attention, I guess. It's not working on me though. I figure one more episode and if it doesn't grab me I'm out.

It was Duean who made the yogurt spoon for Mean, not Pi? They are the other couple. We only really see Pi interact…
Thanks for clearing the yogurt spoon scene up for me. Good casting...I often confuse the two brothers with each other. :D

In what way is Mork tricking Pi and being mean to him? All I ever see is Mork buying him coffee and tending to him during heatstrokes and asking him to be his friend, that type of thing. These are not mean, tricky actions.

I don't feel the comedy is over the top. I just find most of it boring. The entire dental office scene was way too long and extremely boring and added nothing to the story.

As for why Mork likes Pi so much, you'd think we'd see some hint of that by the end of two episodes, since Mork is always fawning over Pi. I can't imagine what the big reveal of some super-awesome reason Mork likes Pi would be, but if that happens...I just hope I'm still watching by then. This episode I stuck it out, but it was such a let-down from the first episode. I saw the director and writers trying to show how clever and inventive and zany they could be with comedic tricks. Meanwhile, the story, such as it is, went to the back burner.

I like everything with Duean, the Kitty Gang was funny, and Mork is a deam man, but Pi is too unlikeable, although…
Totally agree: They've made the protagonist completely unlikable and there's no rationale for it.

You said it all with "everything is too much...trying too hard to make it funny but it's not funny at all..." The MC is totally unlikable now, not funny and cute at all. Just annoying.

I can't connect with the characters. Pi dislike Mork for liking Mueang Nan but he hasn't done much to show that.…
I feel much the same.. I thought the first episode was funny and showed real promise. Now I was bored and Pi is a total jerk. I don't sympathize with him at all. Why in the world would Mork like him? I feel we've been given zero rationale for why Mork is attracted to Pi.

Title Fish upon the Sky Spoiler
Meh. To me, this show is trying way too hard to be zany and goofy and slapstick-oddball, but it just comes off as silly and boring. The interminable dentist scene was just dumb and again, boring. They've made Pi into such an angry jerk who treats everyone badly that I no longer sympathize with him as a kid who was bullied into being bitter and withdrawn. He now seems extremely outgoing but only for the purpose of being rude or treating someone badly. Then for some reason he made a cute spoon out of a yogurt wrapper for that guy and he's supposed to seem cute again.

And I guess there's been a makeover done by some gang of four guys he doesn't even know? wtf? But he basically looks the same, minus braces and glasses. Some makeover...yawn. Can you really just go get your braces taken off randomly at any time in the orthodontic process? I see the retainer, but still it just seems odd and not funny.

Finally, we've been given no reason at all that Mork would like Pi. Pi is a jerk, not just to Mork but to everyone. He's angry, not funny, rude, resentful and mean. There's no reason, none, that a nice guy like Mork would like him. Also, the texting-with-a-stranger-in-the -dark-for-some-reason scenes seem pointless and confusing to me. Why do they now show half of Mork's face and not the rest of it? We all know who it is so what's the point?

Anyway, this episode I dropped my rating from a solid 8 to a 5.5. Just really pretty bad.

When it comes to censorship, or more specifically what can and cannot be shown on television South Korea has always…
"Rules imposed by law & self imposed rules to make sure all demographics are pleased are aplenty." Problem, as always, is there are apparently no such laws or rules to make sure the huge demographic that would like to see uncensored art and content is also "pleased"

I loathe these type of people, Confucianist or Christianist or Islamist, who impose their twisted ideologies on the rest of us. Given this constant frenzy to suppress, I am surprised the K-Pop industry exists at all.

lol How very SJW of you. Toxic relationships often make for great drama. It's been that way for thousands of years.
Oh...I thought the commenter above meant that LC beat up MR. I didn't really have a problem with the boxing match. It was a way of YJ being punished for the hotel incident, no?

No snark intended...did LC beat up MR and I missed it? I'm confused. Do I need to rewatch the episode?

I don't mind being "kink-shamed" (lol). Kinks can be fun! Yeah, it's just that it's annoying when the shamer claims not to be shaming while they are attempting to shame. :D

No, no thanks. I will continue to read them and to respond. You said my comments are "becoming such a bore," you suggested I "say the same thing over and over, etc." which is why I suggested you stop reading them since you find them so tedious.

I find the comments of SJWs such as yourself, prudes, Puritans, busy-bodies, blue-noses, panty-sniffers, censorious Church Ladies, etc. to be fascinating in their self-righteous eagerness to shut down what the rest of us get to see and hear. Failing to respond to the voices of such narrow-minded sex-negative freaks who would limit art and creative freedom is always a mistake as shown over and over throughout history.

So no, I'll keep reading and pointing and laughing and responding. It's important that your type be told to fuck off with regularity.

Well said. I think ppl are not giving the show enough credit for pulling of such dynamic really well. I don't…
I agree. Not every director could successfully set two such disparate plot lines side by side within the same film without it being jarring to the audience.

I understand what you have to say very well and I completely disagree with it. I love that you think you are the one to teach anyone here about "modesty." Also, please study up on your English.
