lol How very SJW of you. Toxic relationships often make for great drama. It's been that way for thousands of years.
Up is an adverb, a preposition and an adjective. So is Down. They are NEVER verbs or nouns. Ummm...pretty sure they are English words with appropriate designations according to their definitions in the English language. Their meanings in English are very much "basic" to any English speaker. Say "look up" or "look down" to any English speaker and they'll know exactly what to do. The concept of each is extremely "basic." I'd guess with confidence that both words have their equivalent in most languages that are equally "basic."

Your attempt to be clever is exposing you as a somewhat ignorant poseur. Try harder.

South Korea is extremely successful with its dramas. No wonder, that China and North Korea are increasingly trying…
OK, I found the wikipedia page for "A Taxi Driver" and skimmed through it. In what sense does the reaction to that film apply to this discussion? The fact that certain elements in the government didn't want that uprising getting any attention? If so...why does it matter? The film was a commercial and critical success. Millions of people saw it and enjoyed it while a tiny percentage of the population bitched about it, which seems similar to the "Exorcist" situation and the K-net psychos' attempt to pre-cancel this new series.

What do you mean by "the clearer South Korea defines itself here..." ? These shows are not put out by the Korean government, they are private enterprises and the government should butt out. Whoever makes the film has the right, in a free and mature society, to tell a story as they see fit. Others can complain, not go see it, try to get other people to not go see it, make films of their own, etc.

Could you expand on your point a bit?

Nobody was blaming the victim. He was blaming himself which happens most of the time and is definitely in character…
Love Rilke. Love your comment.

So are you still watching, Church Lady?
Seems like you're still watching this "crappy series," Church-Lady. Something about it making your secret places tingle? I'm disrespectful to commenters whose perspectives are unworthy of my respect. Simple as that.

If it wasn't "new" to you, why would you say "you may have a point?" You already had encountered the point and were holding it in reserve for later consideration? lol

good god, you'll argue anything. So is a "perception" without a basis as well, or wtf? I think the twin concepts of UP and DOWN are quite basic. Feel free to disagree. I guess you could argue that everything is a perception, but a perception that most people agree on, like up and down, then becomes a "basic" thing, no?

It's good to see that you may still retain some ability to learn and grow. However, if the idea that what one group abhors, another may accept completely or even celebrate, is news to you, then I'm curious as to your age and level of education. That is a pretty basic concept.

ooooh...such deep, stupid questions. Not surprised. Actually, writing out one's thoughts and perspective is a powerful means of examining your opinions and discovering more about why you hold them. I enjoy doing so. If you don't enjoy reading them, then don't fucking read them. Go away. Stop watching BLs. For people like you it's some kind of unhealthy fetish.

Ahhh...AGAIN you tell me you're cutting off our conversation, and then AGAIN you reply to me. I understand you are crushing on me but I do not return your feelings so it's best to let it go.

I skip the brothers scenes and I can happily say I loved this episode. the best one so far.
You're missing half the show and all the complicated drama, but your call. Enjoy!

This latest episode is a delight! Licheng's butt-crack alone made it a worth-while hour of my time. I love his and TengTeng's story line and character/relationship development. They way it's being portrayed and especially Tu's exceptional comedic acting abilities remind me of the old-fashioned American romance-sex comedies of the 1950s and 1960s. Fun! Fun! Fun!

The ease with which Licheng is deftly adapting to his newly-realized gayness is a hoot. :D

Meanwhile, I appreciate the step-brothers' plot as well and its contrast to the comedy taking place in the other half of the show. The characters and their feelings are multi-layered, neither one of them is all-this or all-that, and wonderful, glorious shades of gray are being explored as they seek to find a color in that unlimited palette that works just right for them.

This is a really good show, rendered with high standards and style. A nice degree of political incorrectness too. Bravo.

Oh you poor dear...you're disturbed. lol
It wasn't rape, dear. You're obsessive insistence that it was rape is why you're the one who should be seeing a therapist.

This newest episode must be driving you crazy. The rapist and the rapee are gradually coming together and more openly confessing, when we all know they should be at the police station having the rapist charged with multiple crimes against the rapee, who loved every minute of his violation.

You love seeing what you perceive as rape, molestation and obsession. That's why you continue to watch the show even though you claim to be horrified by what you're seeing. But I've argued this same point over and over with many others of your type so I'm not doing it again.

Stop watching BLs. You're not able to admit to yourself what it is you're attracted to in them so it's probably not good for your health to continue indulging your strange obsession.

Stop watching. You can't handle it, my sweet delicate flower. Being disturbed by facets of a story line is a natural reaction to good drama. it's not a problem, it's a feature. it's how the story takes you on a journey. And there was no rape here so yeah, i've no problem with it.

"decent" BLs. NOW you sound like the frustrated Church-Lady you really are. I bet you ADORE SOTUS and that type of BL with the mannequin-kissing and no sex at all. You know, like people act IRL. lol Healthy relationships alone make for boring drama, which is why you should be watching the Disney Channel and the Christian Broadcasting Network instead of shows about gay boys and/or men in love. Leave us gay guys alone! We LIKE our spicy dramas. ;D

Your English continues to suck.

Well, that was a useless reply. It wasn't rape, so how could I find rape hot by watching a scene that doesn't contain rape? Stop watching BLs...they're not for tight-asses such as yourself. And while you're at it, work on your English...your tenses and modifiers are all over the place.

" ...with you having rape kink..." Also: "Learn how to respect opinions of others and move on." lol..do you normally respect the opinions of others by accusing them of having a rape kink. you're a joke and normal people don't give a shit about all your SJW nonsense. i've read it all and responded to it all a hundred times.

Do you actually see the aftermath of the hot hotel scene as lacking in negative consequences for the younger step-brother? Do you think it's been 'no big deal?" If so, you're not paying attention. Art has no responsibility to dole out politically correct punishments according to the SJW formula. Furthermore, as has been argued over and over here, lots of us don't think there WAS a rape. That's in YOUR head.

So you're 'unsettled." Good. It is a fucking DRAMA. You are SUPPOSED to be unsettled. Grow up and stop watching these series that upset you so, and quit telling other people how to perceive them.

For the millionth time, i'll believe you're serious about your moral outrage when you send me some links to your comments in threads about movies containing murder, kidnapping and robbery. IRL, people suffer mental, emotional and psychological damage as a result of those crimes too. Where is your "emphatic" protests of those plot devices? it is the SEX part of it that either revolts you, turns you on, or more likely and more human, does BOTH. The best drama forces the viewer to feel CONFLICTING, visceral reactions to the same character or plot element at the same time. Go ahead and admit you're a little turned on by it all, even as you simultaneously feel outraged. It's OK. It's human.
