I'm currently reading the novel online. Just finished the part where Pete and Ae confess a second time and kiss for a third under the tree after they haven't seen each other, talked or texted in a week or so because Ae has decided it would be best if Pete were with a girl. Now, this novel is no literary masterpiece, but I sat here in my lounge chair and sobbed like a child as I read that scene and for several minutes afterward. I was incredibly moved by where the writing took me in my mind. Wow.
As for this series, which I've seen just once and which is one of my top ten fave BLs, I want to say that for me the icing on the cake was the Techno/Kla subplot and finale. I thought it was hysterical that Kla was paying No's brother for pictures of him, and even as I watched the last couple of eps and knew heads were exploding throughout the PC/SJW Universe in regard to the shennanigans between those two, I saw some of the best comedic acting of the entire series on Techno's face as Kla gave him the false version of what had transpired between them the night before and demanded that No "take responsibility" for his actions. OMG, seriously, Gun should receive a special Oscar for that performance. I nearly wet my pants laughing.
