yes guys, im still enjoying this maybe bcus im not applying my morale compass while watching this so yeah, and…
Seriously, who brings their goddam "moral compass" along to watch a BL? lol What hypocrites. Totally getting off on both the racy material AND expressing their woke self-righteousness. lol
this is the worst thing i’ve ever watched!!! like how can you even make a series this problematic??? that was…
Why don't you get real and just admit that you are totally getting off on the content of the show as well as your self-righteous outrage? Just relax and admit that you enjoy all of these feelings and will keep watching because of it? "Problematic." lol Dead give-away that you're an SJW.
Okay, for anyone who is extremely worried for Mu Ren after that terrifying next ep. preview, I say watch this…
Why do you watch BLs? They are chock-full of such quandries and issues. If you shudder at watching, shouldn't you just skip a series once it's clear you're uncomfortable with the subject matter?
I've been thinking about the discussions on incest and drunk rape, trying find a 'neutral' thinking.Incest seems…
But...how does inbreeding factor in when it is impossible for a gay couple to reproduce? There is zero chance of inbreeding. So it seems to me that taboo can be taken out of the equation immediately.
My thoughts on the "incest" thing before wading into comments: First of all, is it really blood incest? Secondly, the younger brother gave ALL KINDS of obvious, bold-face indications of what he was up to in the days leading up to the weekend trip and the old brother played along every time, without objection. He began consenting already at that point if you ask me.
Gently caressing his face in the restaurant with the two other partners? Check. Insisting on a trip with just the two of them? Check. One large bed instead of two at the hotel? Check. Hugging him from behind and holding him..twice? Check. Wanting only the older brother to sing the birthday song? Check. Sexy tan lotion application on the beach complete with nipple caress? (Watching the older's sensual, involuntary reaction to that was hot!) Check. Drinking like a fish at the hotel bar without regard to inebriation? Check.
He got drunk on purpose to lower his OWN inhibitions and he was hoping what happened would happen, as far as I'm concerned. And he was drunk but speaking and he gave verbal, enthusiastic physical consent in bed when the younger started kissing his neck. AND he confessed his love to the younger brother at that point. In the morning, he was in seventh heaven when he woke up and caressed his brother's chest, luxuriating in the moment...until he remembered who he'd been boffing the night before and all the societal taboos and brain-washing and limited thinking came pouring back into his mind and heart.
Are they seriously trynna make it a dream? I enjoyed the ending. Not every drama needs a good ending. To me, the…
I found that ending to be sadistic and tacked-on, very inartfully so. A "gotcha" from the show makers and nothing more. I have no requirement that BLs end happily, but it's not as though we don't have a thousand OTHER ridiculous tragic endings under our belts already.
The surviving partner's mother acted so suspicious and guilty and weird when she was trying to "comfort" her son, which of course basically meant "quit whining, get over it and move on" that I felt then that she, her husband and XG's parents had conspired to split the guys up by telling HT that XG was dead even though he was not. Which, when you consider it, is an absolutely monstrous thing to do. I believe there is something in that scene about HT never actually seeing XG's dead body. So they whisked XG off to somewhere else and maybe he has amnesia or is otherwise unable to reach out to HT, as he is under their control.
The addition of the "double" or the "twin" or "XG himself with amnesia" was ridiculous and stupid to me. If it is merely a double, I don't buy that HT would be able to be in that dude's presence without experiencing wrenching pain to the degree he would have to remove himself from the situation, rather than hanging out with him. And if it IS actually XG, HT would definitely KNOW it just by instinct and the power of his affection. So that plot element struck me as gratuitous and bizarre. It will be interesting as hell to see how they go with the script here. I adored this show up until the you-know-what moment, when it became one of my most hated BLs of all time. A cheap, mean, sadistic, tacked-on ending to a great show.
I apologize if this has been explored in comments below. I haven't read through them yet.
