Ok, maybe not fully omnipotent, but he's not far from it. He is the guardian of all realms, so it's his responsibility to make sure anything threatening the destruction or order of any realm is dealt with. Maybe minor issues he doesn't get involved, but for greater threats like the chimei or the demons threatening all realms that the FL was battling in episode 23, he's obliged to be involved. But aside from his responsibilities, he's in love with the FL. Therefore, i want to see him more involved with her, especially in battle. I know she's badass, but i don't want her to be masculine all the time. Let the ML take on that role sometimes and be the hero.

My half-time thoughts on this so far. The first 8 episodes are really good. I loved that start. Just how they were already together immediately and their funny interactions. I also liked how it started calmly, instead of throwing us in the middle of a tense, dynamic, confusing situation.

Episodes 9 to 13 were a bit draggy, i kind of understand those episodes, but i think that period of the story could've been wrapped up in 2 or at most 3 episodes. It picked up again from episodes 14 to 22 (where I'm at now) with a good combination of action and interactions between the leads. It's slow burn, but i understand because of their situation, but in the second half that needs to change. I don't want last minute romance.

Ok, one concern i have that i hope changes in the second half, and maybe some of you agree or correct me if I've forgotten a scene or two. The ML needs to be involved in more fight scenes. It's all the FL fighting. It's not just that, i wanted the ML to come to her rescue. I think it only happened once at his place in the heavenly realm. All other times, he was late or didn't show. I want him using his powers more, saving the damsel in distress even if she can take care of herself. What took him so long to stop the fireballs in the heavenly realm? He was already there before it occurred. Where was he when she was fighting the chimei? He was lost. How can he get lost in the demon realm when he's the know all divine god? Where was he when his lion pet was attacking the FL? Once again he shows up late. He's a divine god, he should've sensed the situation. He's the most powerful character in the show, a divine god. I want more action from him🙏

Edit: I've just witness the big fight scene above the ocean involving the FL in episode 23. And again, fighting alone while the ML is playing chess. Ridiculous. Isn't he supposed to be guarding all realms eliminating and controlling any serious threats?

I like this FL in xianxia fantasy dramas. She gives me similar vibes to Yangmi, which says a lot because Yangmi is one of my favourites. This is my first drama with ZLY, I hope she has other good xianxia dramas to watch.

Sorry, but it's not rude at all. Explain to me why? So we're allowed to acknowledge someones beauty and ship them with the handsome character, but when someone is average or below average in looks we can't mention it or decide who we want them to be with or not to be with? Also, the purpose of second leads with feelings for the main leads is to make the leads jealous. It's one way of progressing the leads relationship. We can clearly see the ML jealous when Mofang is with the FL, but when the goddess was with the ML, she wasn't jealous at all. She never took it seriously, and in one scene, i remember her smirking at the interaction between the ML and the goddess. I guarantee if the goddess was beautiful, the FL would've reacted completely different.

No not yet, I'm on episode 19.

No that's just not right. The FL gets a handsome SML loving her, and the poor ML ends up with that goddess😕😂 surely there's a beautiful female character pursuing him? But i can't imagine the ML laying on a rooftop gazing at the stars with the goddess.

Nah no need, we're back on track now in episode 15. But i still think that period from episode 9 to 13 wasn't necessary. It dragged and would've been better if it wrapped up in two episodes instead of 5.

Hopefully, because the start was really good.

Well i understand a couple of episodes of buildup between events, but they've been just chilling in the Demon realm for a while now. And the leads seem to be drifting further apart than how they were a few episodes ago. I thought by now things would be moving along. It just seems the last 5 episodes are rinse and repeat, the same scenes are happening.

Hmm, the first 8 episodes were really good, I'm on episode 13, but I'm starting to get bored with it. Nothing's really happening or progressing. It's been 5 episodes of nothing. How much longer before i see the story progressing?

I'm on episode 7, and i now know he's the last remaining ancient god. Does that make him the most powerful character in the show? By the way, this is really good so far. I loved the start to this. I hope it continues.

I'm not familiar with those types you mentioned. I've heard of them, and i believe they describe your type of personality, maybe? We have to wonder, some of these actors back in school were probably beautiful, popular, and confident. It may be for some, this situation, their overconfidence, the type of friends involved, may have led to an immature act of bullying at some point. Bullying is everywhere. It's in every school and workplace. Think of a bully that was at your school. That person may have grown up to be a very successful individual, possibly with a loving family. Being a bully doesn't necessarily mean they end up poor, in jail, unsuccessful, and living on the streets. It's not hard to believe an actor was once a bully. In fact, like you mentioned, actors do fit the persona of a bully.

I'll definitely watch it right after I'm finished The Legend of Shen Li. Do the leads develop feelings for each other early in the drama?

So the romance is slow paced, which is fine, but do the leads develop feelings for each other early on or later in the drama? If it's slow paced i hope it's early on in the drama.

Fabulous, fantastic, amazing, I loved this. As you've probably realised by now, I gave this a 10, but judging by the story, romance, and their characters interactions, I would usually rate it around 8 or 8.5. However, there were 2 rare, unexpected, surprisingly wonderful components in this drama that bumped it straight to a 10. Firstly, there were no annoying SML's throwing themselves at the FL. Yeah, I know. How is it possible there aren't any SML's with feelings for the FL. I don't think I've ever witnessed this before. It's like I'm in a parallel universe. Secondly, the SFL with feelings for the ML is actually a really good character. She's the equivalent of the typical SML with traits such as kind, caring, and protecting. So not only do we have a FL without at least one SML obsessing over her, but we also have a good SFL with feelings for the ML. I don't care what anyone says, that right there is worthy of a 10. Also, why is Jong Hee always the 3rd wheel? She's beautiful enough to have her own relationship.

I've just noticed in the comments that the FL has been accused of bullying. It's probably false, but you never know what the truth really is. But I remember reading an article on bullying a while ago. It describes the characteristics and personalities of bullies. It got me thinking about these actors and actresses involved in bullying allegations. What it takes to be a successful actor requires some of these characteristics and personalities that bullies have. For example, actors are usually extroverted, occupy a high role or status, self assured, may give off an impression of trustworthiness and reliability, has an air of untouchability, very convincing, a need to control situations, and maybe very charismatic. Some of these qualities have been with them their whole lives, certainly while they were at school when these incidents of bullying allegedly took place. I'm not implying the allegations are true or having these traits automatically makes you a bully, but would it seem so far-fetched that maybe some of these actors at some point in their lives were immature and unkind. Maybe involved in popular groups with extroverted, extravagant, and manipulative friends. Innocent until proven guilty, but the thought does cross my mind.
