Title KinnPorsche
⚠️SPOILER⚠️ for ep 2 I wouldn't say he's arrogant, I believe he feels all confident and assured being…
Thanks for your thoughtful reply. I understood most of that about his character. But understanding him and liking him are two different things and I just don't like him. So I don't care what happens to him. But, as you say, we are all entitled to our own opinion and feelings, and I'm glad that you can find some enjoyment in the show (seems like I'm in the minority about this one, anyway). Have fun and maybe we'll be able to gush over another BL together. Cheers!

Very simple and very familiar, but at least our lead knows he likes boys from the get-go and isn't afraid to declare his love (in grade 10, of all things!). Decent characters thus far, nice friends and potential second/third couples. Not a revelation, but a good effort. I'll give it a shot.

Title KinnPorsche Spoiler
2 eps in and this one is not for me. I don't like Porsche's character at all. I find him to be stupid, entitled and arrogant --- for absolutely no reason. He's not very good at anything so far, yet seems to think he's the sh*t. Not a character I care to root for. The fantasy element of the crime family is ridiculous, but so much so that I can't find the comedy in it. 100 bodyguards standing around doing nothing, but not one waiter to serve the drinks? No wonder their crime family is in trouble. Once Porsche lets that woman attack Kinn, then drunkenly vomits and then falls asleep on top of his boss... it would all be over. He'd be killed. It's too preposterous for me. I said "Ugh" so many times in this one episode that I knew it was time to call it a day. But I can see you're all enjoying it. Have fun.
On Cherry Blossoms after Winter Apr 8, 2022
The preview for Ep 8 makes it look like SOOOOOO much happens. How can they resolve all that in one ep?!?! And in 25 minutes! So excited and sad to see the finale. I love these two (and their friends).
On Dark Blue Kiss Apr 6, 2022
This was one of the first BL series I ever watched (well, I guess this is more LGBTQ+). I thought it was very good, with some flaws, but it made me love the genre and TayNew and Gawin. But 2 years + later watching it for a 2nd time, I saw a lot more flaws. I think back then I was just so happy to see 2 boys in a relationship (and 2 more starting a relationship) that I overlooked a lot of the problems. Back then, I was more into the SunMork pairing and same goes this time around. I actually FF through a lot of PeteKao. All in all, I think it's a minor series and so many better shows have come out in the following years that it doesn't stand up as I hoped. Still, I'll always have a soft place in my heart, since it was one of the first shows to introduce me to this genre. And I'm grateful for the LGBTQ/coming out story.

Title Enchanté
This wasn't bad enough to make me drop it, but I wish I had. I didn't care about any of the characters, except maybe Akk - but his droopy eyed hangdog expression started to annoy me after 3 or 4 eps. I didn't care who Enchante was, because it was so clearly just a plot device and obviously none of the suitors was going to be endgame. Most of the characters were despicable people. I admit, I was happy when the MC got together but only cuz I'm a sucker for love, not because I actually wanted those two to be together. I didn't hate Theo as much as most of you, but I did hate the fact that he was written like he was 6 and not 20. The last 2 episodes were entirely unnecessary - although actually if that story had been woven in from the beginning, it might have made the whole show more interesting. A misguided effort from start to finish. I really need to stop watching shows until after they finish their run, so you all get to comment and warn me off the bad ones... like Enchante.

Title Our Days Spoiler
I've started watching this at 1.5x speed and boy am I glad. Even then they drag out the moments sooo long. Mon's feelings came from out of nowhere, I felt. I knew he was more comfortable with So, and definitely felt a nice friendship, but I wasn't even getting a bromance vibe, let alone an "i like you" vibe. I did like that scene at the elevator tho. T

he Romeo kiss that went on for a day and a half was hysterical. Is this the beginning of the third couple? I've been waiting for it for 7 eps.

I don't know why I keep on with this one, but I am now intrigued about the end game.

His sister submitted it, but since his name was on it Da Woon recognized his name. Also, I think Da Woon was less…
130 minutes is about the time of an average feature film romance. That's plenty of time to develop two characters. This is about 2 people falling in love, so it would be nice to understand them both. That said, I still enjoyed this immensely.

This was beautiful. Showing the impact that body shaming (and divorce) can have on a child and their psyche was very well done. The long term effects can be quite damaging and without support can impact people well into their adult lives. The slow blossoming of trust and friendship was handled with subtlety and restraint. Si Won transforms from a sleek facade into a fully fleshed out, flawed and vulnerable character - whose soul-bearing dialogue was truly unlike the normal BL characters. Da Un was horribly under-written in comparison. I see from comments below that his character is fleshed out more in the manhwa and I wish that were the case here. I felt much more was needed to forgive his character in the end. It was all a bit too easy and quick. Such betrayal would truly need time and understanding to heal those deep wounds - but then again young love is also when our base needs often outweigh the problems, no matter how large they may be. Many of the side characters were also given some nice dimension, especially with the limited screen time they received.

I was confused about Da Un's role in Si Won's film. Si Won's sister was the one who submitted the screenplay - without anyone knowing about it. How did Da Un know to ask his parents for their support? But a minor logic issue that I'm sure could be explained.

I thought the love scene was one of the best and most sensual I have ever seen. All done so tastefully in long shot, backlit. Nothing gratuitous, but truly relayed the passion and desire so well.

Loved the moment when Si Won confesses his childhood pains and Da Un strokes his hair. But when he removes his hand, Si Won puts it back on his head. "I need more encouragement". So sweet.

Absent of almost all BL tropes, this was a truly tender and open-hearted story where the characters genders never truly came into play. It was just two people falling in love and supporting each other through their pain. I'll watch again and again.

Jo Hyuk Joon is a MAJOR star in the making. Every expression revealed layers of emotion. Kang Eun Bin was impressive as well. As were all of the other actors. A truly impressive cast.

Don't you wonder if Q-Tips sponsor these shows. I've never seen so many minor injuries as in BL.
Yes, BB turned a few tropes on their heads, while still staying within formula. But in reality - fever, scratch on the leg - Ive never needed anyone to care for me in those situations. It's just cheesy (and easy) writing.

Can you watch this without watching the others first?
Yes, but you get more info by watching the others. However, this was the first one I watched, then after falling in love with the actors went back to watch the other series (this one is still my fav)

Title Not Me
A good show that somehow just didn't hit me the way I wanted it to. Can't really complain about anything. I'm not an Off/Gun fan so I'm sure that had a lot to do with my blasé reaction to the show, though I will say Off surprised me and handled the role better than I anticipated. Applaud the unique story and the topical themes. Lots of loose ends, though that too is true to the way life/politics/corruption are. A solid show that just wasn't my cup of tea.

Title First Love Again Spoiler
This one started off very interesting. The premise was intriguing and then the gender swap added a nice twist. It got better in the middle and then just petered out towards the end. Instead of being more invested and caring whether or not they got together, I found myself disengaged and not really caring at all. For me, it hinged on Jeon Chang Ha's performance. He did a credible job, but something about his portrayal and character just left me wanting more. I found him cold and aloof and that made it hard for me to care whether he got his happy ending. It was all a bit rushed and convenient in the end. Kim Jin Hyeon just leaves. "See you next year" and Jeong Ha Yeon acts like he was never going any where. "You should have come back sooner." What? That was not how either character behaved until then.

Does anyone know what David says in the text during the live-stream? Maybe that would have helped. But I doubt it.

Like many are saying "Meh".

Ep 4, best so far. Lots of character development for several of the cast. This show isn't what I expected, and I like that. Can't wait to see where this all leads.

I totally buy into the idea of a forced moment of closeness, especially that requires one to be vulnerable and the other the caretaker, and has touching involved. I just think there is more than one way to write that moment into a script.
