Enjoying this one, love the investigation taking precedence over the romance and how it is slowly changing these two damaged young men. Looking forward to more.
Eh. Simple, straightforward, nothing to really engage with. Just a simple meeting and falling into "like" story. But, it has lots of stupid moments that just brought my enjoyment down.
Not a fan of yaoi girls setting up and then spying on guys, and wasting valuable screen time that could be about the two boys bonding. Not a fan of ridiculous arguments that go on longer than necessary (take a picture over there, no here, no there, no here) Not a fan of pushy guys who don't take no for an answer. He has to WORK. Stop nagging him to take you sight seeing. "Take me out to sightsee at night" ... and then shoot the scene in the middle of the day.
I won't rewatch, but if you're looking for a quick BL fix it's okay.
This is cute, sweet and well done considering the restrictions. I've liked so many of these Covid-based BL's. Very slight, not much going on other than attraction and how to get them together, but still an enjoyable, quick viewing. A little creeped out by the 39 year old coming onto a college student, but I guess it's consensual. I watched 2 eps without subtitles and didn't really need them to get the story. I'd probably watch again if I run out of things... maybe I can find the subtitled eps. Haha.
Cute so far. Nothing groundbreaking, but nothing cringey (except the French, but honestly, who cares if their accents are horrible... so is mine). A nice camaraderie between the boys. Interesting that there is so much more to come with the book and the other boys that is not really set up here. I'm intrigued.
Not as good as S1. Not as emotional, not enough character depth. Too many voice-overs. An unsatisfying conclusion to the mystery (I know it's on-going, but could have been tied up better). I was conflicted about the bromance. Hyuk is adorable, charismatic and a good actor, but I thought the connection between Mono and Probe was supposed to be too strong to break, so I couldn't fully root for them to be together. All felt a bit rushed (as it did in S1), but this time with less drive and urgency. I'll watch S3 because I like the originality of this premise, but I'm not expecting much. Sad.
The problem with this drama, as with many other BL dramas, is time. They want to say a lot in short amount of…
I don't disagree with you, but 2 hours is plenty of time to tell a complete story. Movies do it (often in less time). And Eom Se Ung was fantastic. Hope to see him again soon.
Dropped after 2 eps. First ep was so slow I kept falling asleep. Second ep was boring and again very slow paced. I enjoy the paranormal angle but I wish it was more engaging.
Oh, I did not even realise that Pun and the Korean speaking guy were Milk's clients. I thought they are friends.…
Haha. Thanks. I'm not going to give it another chance. Plenty of other series have hooked me in the first 30 minutes, so I'll just focus on those and not waste my time on the ones that don't appeal to me. Hope you enjoy it!
I totally agree with you. But this is only the first episode (Introducing Characters). Do not get upset of it😥.I…
I understand there's a lot to cover in the first episode, but the overall quality is not going to improve and I'd rather find something I enjoy more. Hope you enjoy it.
I am so tired of people who do not answer their best friends'/business partners questions. Where I come from that's just downright rude. And why don't people call them out for it?
I understand you're heartbroken, but you treat your clients like shit. Don't show up for them. Sleep when you should be waiting for them. Call them sarcastic. Complain that they had a vacation but you didn't. And then also don't answer their direct questions. Borrow their phone to call your ex?? Get drunk in front of them, throw up and pass out. I would fire this kid on the spot.
You've had an accident so severe that you can't use your arm... but you choose to just cover it up as if it will miraculously heal itself from the warmth of your hoodie? Who wrote this crap?
Then your business partner leaves a message - on the client's phone - that your ex wants you to move out. This is the most unprofessional business I have ever heard of.
You've taken off my clothes, and I've asked "what did you see" (really? this is what you care about after you've thrown up on a client?) and of course... rather than alleviate your concern, I just smile knowingly, as if I've taken photos of the goods.
I can't even finish the episode. It's too infuriating. DROPPED
A slight bit of fluff with some logic flaws, but for a quick view it's worth looking at. Natthew really sells the embarrassed but excited/validated/grateful moments. He was super cute in those moments and made me see potential for future roles. "Wish me Luck"??? I don't get that title. Is it in reference to his birthday wish? Luck? This has nothing to do with luck. Anyway...
Seen most of this a thousand times before, but there is something for each couple that I find sweet, cute and funny. I did fast-forward through the Freshy bball game, because I just didn't care. I imagine it will be the same for all the games. Those aren't the moments when character is revealed or plot advances. V is adorable. I loved the scene where Dome watches him hit on Pete. Nothing groundbreaking, but fun nonetheless.
Had to stop watching early in Ep 2. Felt like they were improvising the script as they went along and none of them are good improvisors. Poorly acted across the board. Ridiculous. DROPPED
I found the finale a giant let down. Yes, I hear the argument that it is more "realistic" but it was not what I wanted for these two. I will watch this series again and again, but will stop at Episode 11. Ohm, what's next? Please stun me some more.
Dude...it's basically the same. The plot, actors, scripts are parts of "quality"
YouTube watchers are used to and fine with shoddy cinematography. That's what they watch all the time. Why would they care about cinematography at all? I don't understand why you think these are YT watchers making these comments.
Can you please name some of the "great" YT series that you praise so the rest of us can watch these gems?
I sometimes don't focus exclusively on BL content. Let's face it, most of it is cookie cutter and we've all seen these tropes 1000 times so you can still fold laundry, or make dinner, and get the gist of what's going on. So, at first, I thought I had just missed some nuances, or a line or two of dialogue. Then I had to ask, "did I miss an entire episode?" Then it became apparent, that I didn't miss it, it had been edited out of this series. Big chunks of plot, character, relationships, go missing. Things are never explained. Big, BIG moments, like understanding your lover's motives and truly expressing your reasoning are left unsaid (or again, edited out). I believe this was probably written and filmed as a 30 minute show, then somehow got reduced to the 15 minutes (or 10 eps, reduced to 8) and neither the writer, producer, editor or executive knew how. to make sense of it, so they just hacked away and this is what we got.
Started off decent enough. Not great, but a fun setting and well established back-story/relationships. Eom Se Ung is stunning and a decent actor. He certainly has charisma that carries him when his acting is challenged. Bum Jun was wooden and overly made-up to the point of distraction (a problem with Korean BL). Loved the Dad and their relationship. But giant plot holes and unexplained elements mar the second half of the series, wrapped up too quickly and nicely (oh, editor... keep your day job). Not really worth the viewing, unless you're really in withdrawals. But I will watch Eom Se Ung in his next project for sure.
