Title Nitiman Spoiler
This has never been the most compelling show, but Ep 9 was a total waste.

Bomb: I'm jealous cuz you posted a pic with a guy... Really, Bomb? He sleeps with you every night. What do you have to be jealous about? Is it all because he won't openly declare his love? How insecure are you?

And honestly, how can all of their friends be so blind. You don't sleep in someone's room every night if you're friends. Why does no one seem certain they are a couple?

WE're forced to watch random soccer scenes, rehearsal scenes, a horrible play, with people screaming for no reason and then get a song performance that does nothing to move the story forward. Scenes with Mom & sisters who immediately and conveniently disappear (just don't bother putting them in the scene!)

Then we find that the reason Bomb likes Jin is because he gave him his omelette. Pathetic. And suddenly Bomb is NOT jealous anymore. "It's fine" Um...

Then another meal that lasts about 5 seconds before Bomb has to go pick up Jin AGAIN. And their meal does nothing but give Jin a chance to spy on his BF's phone messages. For what reason? So he can see texts about their friends assuming things about their relationship??

Then another random "studying in the library" scene. Another drunken scene where Keam is a pouty "B" with ZERO explanation, and Jin is so drunk Bomb has to bring him home, but when they get home Jin is not drunk anymore (again), Then ANOTHER studying scene where they bring up the roofie... for no reason. Writers, that was 2 episodes ago and MANY days ago in the timeline. It's a little late to bring it up. And what does it do for the story (aside from remind us how horrible his friends are?)

Did ANY of the friends' stories progress this episode. Nope. So when they call declare their love in the finale, I'll be pissed.

Then... these final ones really annoyed me. A scene where the boys are playing games BECAUSE??? Jack warning Bomb off Jin AGAIN. And why??? And then the weirdest "Come pick me up" but I'm already being dropped off by Mark. Which causes jealousy because... he is literally showing you that he is leaving Mark to come to you. What are you jealous of? Followed by the oddest ugly cry.

I've enjoyed Jin's slow acceptance of Bomb and his feelings. He's a cutie, too. But I'm glad this is ending next week. It has had a couple of great moments, but mostly has been an example of how NOT to write scripts.

I also think he isn't chubby. He is really cute.
Episode 9 is the first episode where I said to myself, "Oh he's a little thicker than I thought he was", but I think that was also the clothes he was wearing made him look bulkier. But either way, he's CUTE! I am much more attracted to him than Bomb. Body shaming is real y'all.

Gun is cute-ish. But hats off to the publicity photographer, because he looks stunning in those photos, especially the main poster.

Lol no Sun literally just splashed some water around. I didn’t see any soap. But ig that’s still an improvement…
Hahaha. And are there no paper towels/hand dryers in Thailand? I've seen guys in a few shows just wipe their hands on their pants. Eww.

Well that was a powerful finale. Tears throughout. I'm amazed how one BL (well, two if we include ITSAY) can get everything so right, while others fail so miserably. This script is impeccable. The subtlety and nuance are spot on. This is how real lovers talk and work through their problems. Life and love and relationships are messy. People make mistakes. We can't know what the other is truly experiencing (unless they are brave enough to bare their souls), so there are often misunderstandings and problems, complications along the way. Even successful relationships go through moments (or years) of struggle. It's just the nature of life itself. I'm so thrilled this series acknowledges that and addresses it head on. The acting and direction only amplify all of the emotions. PP is so honest in his portrayal of Oh. He deserves all the accolades and awards. But virtually everyone in this series shone. Bas, Jai, Q, Khim, and of course Teh. I'll watch this again and again (and again). Sublime. (Season 3???)

Sooooo much. I think logic is very low on the priority list for BLs

Not sure what that was, or if it was worth it. Love a look into a different area of Thailand and the life lived there, and the story was different than most. More Bromance than BL, and that's fine. Feels like this was just a test to see if they could get a series out of it. And I would probably watch that series. But it all just felt like it was the bare bones and needed a lot of meat to really satisfy. No chemistry between the leads, no real time to let characters evolve, conflicts resolved in the same scene. And for such a short running time, they repeat dialogue a bit too much.

But I've never been an Oak fan. He's well fitted for this role, but I still find him too amateurish for my tastes. He looks like he's thinking about what to do next in between all of his lines. Part of it is the direction, I'm sure. They want him to take unnatural pauses for "effect", (happened in My Bromance 2 as well) but he doesn't pull them off as organically as others. That awkward laugh always makes me think he's forgotten his lines. Sorry, just my taste, my opinion, for those Oak lovers. Mon is a natural, however. I'm sure he'll be a huge star with a broad range.

"We'll help you renovate!" And then they sweep. Um...
"The food here is so different but it's so good" but then they teach Mom how to make... spaghetti. Um...
And teach them how to bow properly??? Got it. Customers should come running now!

A slight short with no real rewatch value. I wouldn't bother unless you need a bromance/rural Thailand fix.

Honest to goodness, these two fluctuate all over the place from moment to moment. I trust you, I don't, you're cheating, come hug me, don't come to rehearsal, but I'll go to dinner with you. It's a bit like a ping pong match with super cute boys. Thank goodness I like ping pong.

Agreed not sure what kind of friend would spike a drink with what I’m guessing was viagra or something similar…
First, you shouldn't even encourage someone to drink and drive, never mind be under the influence of some kind of drug and then drive. Second, it had so little consequence. Yes, he kissed him a couple of times and mentioned that he was aroused, but... that's it? I don't think a 19 year old needs anything to become aroused, so why bother. You're probably right, it was just to introduce the condom, but there are a million ways to do that. This seemed totally off. How can a network that knows its viewers are mostly underage encourage this? And how did they fall asleep wearing one outfit and both wake up wearing different outfits?

IMO, I think GMMTV has found a pair they can actually build up. Phuwin and Pond are really young (17 and 20 respectively)…
But are GMMTV and other Thai companies really interested in that? Tay/New have been together across several series, as have Max/Tul - but it seems most couples only get 1 or 2 seasons together (as a couple), whether it's in the same franchise or a new story. I think the industry is more interested in finding the fresh talent. Also, very rarely do BL actors gets to be the lead in multiple BL series. Phuwin has been a secondary character in multiple, but this is probably his only shot at a BL lead. Hopefully, they will give him great parts in other series and maybe the lead in Hetero shows, but BL doesn't seem to cherish their actors as much as the fans do.

Pardon the rant...

Overall, I liked this series, despite its many flaws. Personally, I liked exploring a character with low self esteem. My first BF, despite great talent, had zero self confidence and very low self esteem. Supporting him and allowing him to realize his own potential was a large part of our relationship at the beginning. So this really resonated with me. But I don't think Mork did a very good job at it. In fact, I think he fed Pi's insecurities and did little to comfort & support him in the way he truly needed. It happened continually, including at the very critical moment in Ep 12 when Pi says, "If you want to stay my friend, do NOT follow me" and then Mork follows him and yells like a madman at his front door. He never really heard what Pi was saying and expressed that he understood. He also never really offered the kind of advice that might have helped Pi., aside from some cliche lines meant to make the audience go "Awww". This is where BL writing really falls down. Every now and then they want to explore characters and themes that are a bit deeper and more complex - but they think they can resolve those issues with a simple "I like you." or a kiss in front of a group of strangers. I understand this is meant for a young audience, and this is more of a sitcom than a romance/drama, but don't introduce complex issues unless you're going to address them. If, at the end of the day, you know you're only going to have banal answers, then your characters should be the kind who would accept and respond to those.

Nitpicky... Suddenly Pi is fine with his "before" pics, just a day after he admits how insecure he is. Sorry, doesn't happen like that. (and PS: he NEVER looked bad, even with glasses and braces... I know we're supposed to swallow that one with a grain of salt, considering it's TV and there are no ugly actors, but then maybe use some acne make-up or make him truly embarrassing, rather than stylish glasses)

Snow White for a college production? Looked like a grade school version. Have these writers ever been to college?

2 years into their relationship and Pi is lying because he's too lazy to get his own damn lunch? And doesn't appreciate that his BF is a doctor who has responsibilities? But then when he's actually hurt and can't get around with a VERY long scene of him hobbling about, he's going to say that he's capable of doing things on his own? It's as if the writer didn't remember what she had written 1 page ago. Lame. (This is one of my pet peeve BL tropes, arguing for NO reason. - I can do it - Let me help - No I can do it - Let me help - No I can do it. -- How does that show character or propel the plot??)

And then... 2 years into the relationship he's going to act like his BF has never seen him without a shirt, or pants, or underwear.

There were so many moments like this throughout that really showed me how little effort goes into BL story-telling. (I'm not saying the productions themselves. I know everyone works hard), but it all starts with the script and the characters and BL writers really need to step up their game. But then, as long as there is an audience who eats up this pablum (and there is apparently a very large audience), they won't be challenged.

Unpopular opinion... I was not a fan of the Duen character, nor Neo's portrayal (and I've liked him in several other shows). Meen was adorable and I'll watch him in anything but that pairing just pushed the limits of this farce too far for me. I wanted to FF through all of their scenes, but didn't because of Louis.

Despite it all, Phuwin melts my heart and I hope he has a long career. I've been a fan since "Cause You're My Boy".

Will I watch this again... not the whole series. But there are moments that made me happy and I will revisit those.

A couple of things I noticed in this episode... During the Smile For Me photo shoot, "Sister" is telling the photographer, move the camera a bit more this way... but the lens is pointed at the ground, not at the group. - And after rehearsal with the "big" stand-off (who's gonna take Jin to the bar!!!?!?), Jin says, let's go I just have to change my clothes. Then he drags Bomb into the bathroom. And doesn't change his clothes. So... why did he take him there? Did they really think the only reason Jin would have his phone was if he was taking a dump? -- While I'm enjoying the heck out of this one, the lack of attention to detail is comical.
