Um...are we supposed to like Chin and want him and U to get together? Because...nah. It's one thing to be insecure…
Someday there will be a BL series that dares to surprise the viewer by having the supposed SML turn out to be the ML after all, winning the heart of the other ML. Alas, I think you're right and this one won't be the trailblazer.
I don't recall Chin flirting with U out in the open, though. The physical advances (and kisses) happened only in the dorm room or when others in the room were asleep, while out in public I only remember him behaving territorially or retaliating by using the girl.
Unfortunately, Dan is now in need of a big redemption. Like, really big. And what's bigger than taking a bullet…
It surprised me that he helped them get into the elevator because it seemed to break the terms he made with the old guy who threatened his parents. Plus just moments earlier he'd drawn his gun on Sean when Sean tried to resist. If Dan was inclined to help the guys he could have done that then.
(Maybe Yok's tears made the difference?)
Dan has broken the law himself now so some kind of retribution is due -- at the very least going to prison himself for aiding and abetting. He certainly can't go retire on the family farm anymore.
I appreciate your insight into Eastern vs. Western styles of redemption (and that's a good point regarding He's Coming to Me) but I just have a feeling Dan is not going to survive next week.
I’ve come this far, so I’m gonna finish it. But, boy am I just BORED! Each episode feels like it is 3 hours…
I'm with you there. This is the only series where I end up checking multiple times to see how much longer the episode will last. But I can't stop watching.
Every time they appear on screen I wonder whether they're meant as a visual gag or if an intimate relationship is being implied.
The series clearly cast two boys who look almost like twins. They are always together and they always wear matching/coordinating clothes. After realizing what is going on between Pun and Milk they've been staunch supporters of the relationship.
And in the latest episode, while visiting their father in the hospital Milk's brother asks for a cot to be brought to the room so that he and his friend can spend the night there. He doesn't even confer with his friend before saying that they both want to stay. It's like they share one mind.
My guess is that they're simply meant to be cute and quirky. Maybe that other possibility is just wishful thinking.
This series is starting to make me burn with the desire to find whoever wrote this so I can ask "Why? Why would…
The writing is definitely the biggest problem. The directing is nothing to write home about, but the script must be the screenwriter's first attempt at anything like this.
what if todd saves black, white and the gang in the hospital? is it possible? or did black kill todd already?…
They never showed us how Black's first standoff with Todd ended. It's a strange lapse for what is otherwise a well-written series. I hope they'll show us how this episode's standoff ended.
Maybe Todd will end up helping Black at the hospital like you say. He could easily provide fire power and vehicles for the guys to get away.
But they can't end the series with Tawi still doing his thing. So maybe Todd will be the one to take him out. If that were to happen, for Season 2 the gang could go up against Todd, who ends up replacing Tawi as the biggest drug kingpin in Bangkok.
I have not watched the drama and I already downloaded the rest of the ep for a trip I am going on, so if there…
Unfortunately, Dan is now in need of a big redemption. Like, really big. And what's bigger than taking a bullet for your boyfriend? My money is on Dan being the token death.
Pretty good odds on Black being the one, too. But Dan's storyline has set this up too neatly.
I still think this show is holding true to its purpose. It is exploring 3 relationship developments and a realistic…
I appreciate this comment so much.
For instance, why do people need to see a scene where Dome breaks up with Vee's sister? We were able to get a sense of what he said to her (and what he didn't say) during her short conversation with Vee.
That was a smart decision by the writers because it took only 30 seconds and told us everything we needed to know. It's funny to me that anyone feels robbed that it wasn't shown on screen.
It is a common storytelling device but it has to be done right... Bad Buddy was clever and used the technique…
I think the time jump at the very end of the episode was there mainly to tease us about next week. The key moment was Fah and Thorn walking past one another without any acknowledgement.
Next week it looks like we'll get to go back and see what happened to get them to that point.
Dome and Vee's back must hurt like crazy, carrying the whole series on their shoulders as support roles ain't…
I think Dome and Vee have the most feather-light story of the bunch due to having the least amount of character development. I wouldn't be surprised if they were considered the third-ranked pair by the writers (and their relative lack of screen time seems to bear that out.)
All we've gotten from them is several episodes of flirting and angst on a repeat loop, followed by Dome's breakup with Vee's sister off screen, and one kiss (held off until Episode NINE for crying out loud), which itself is spoiled by being used as a plot device for Vee's sister to discover what's going on.
This is followed by them still doing nothing about their attraction to one another, since (as Vee assured his sister) nothing has happened between him and Dome beyond that kiss.
If people find that more exciting to watch than the other stories, well, whatever floats your boat, I guess.
I should congratulate these fans for being so patient, though, because I bet many of those same people are over on other pages complaining about how long it's taking for the leads of another series to finally get together.
Dome and Vee are a nice side story but as characters they're less fleshed out than the others and so for me they're the least interesting. There's only so much hand-wringing I can stand over the course of 12 episodes.
Regarding that time jump at the very end of the episode, it might just be there as part of the teaser for next week, surprising us with Fah and Thorn being on different teams and not acknowledging one another.
Then the preview for next week seems to show that we'll see how that all came about.
THEY BETTER GIVE MY PRECIOUS DANYOK A HAPPY ENDING that’s all I’m saying. But no for real, I can’t believe…
Dan will get his redemption arc, I guarantee it. And he and Yok will live happily ever after on Dan's family farm.
Their final scene will probably be Yok showing up unexpectedly at the farm and Dan embracing him. (Because apparently they don't kiss, they just hold their faces close together and breathe heavily.)
This show has a lot going for it. It has a lot of quirky characters, especially So and the little brother, even…
"A lot of people have observed that Saint is likely a toxic villain (a very, very hot, sexy villain). I'm not sure, because he's so obviously evil from the start that he's probably not, but even if he's the anti-Christ AND the reincarnation of Hitler, who clubs harp seal pups in his spare time just for laughs, I would STILL prefer Mon end up with him. "
If you want to see a guy with low self-esteem to prevail, there's Secret Crush on You. Does Mon have low self-esteem,…
Mon is more of a dick. I think of So as having the low self-esteem. I’m not sure what he sees in Mon, since Mon is such a sour puss. Just about anyone else in that house would be more fun to date lol. But if So and Saint are to be rivals I’d like to see So prevail.

And we mustn't forget that the school principal had her undercover job as the restaurant owner.
Ah, such fond memories. :)

He could strangle Yok to death with his bare hands and you'd all be saying "Well, at least he didn't shoot him like he did Sean's dad!" ^_^
Did you mean So instead of Mon?
