Struck me as a cross between The Equalizer and Mission Impossible. The villains were too cartoonish and the revenge porn was a little over the top for me so I ended up dropping it, but worth a look if you like action thrillers.
In Episode 8 Tawan, who is extra to begin with, really tries my patience. He's lucky that Mork is so understanding and persistent.
For me Nadia is less and less likeable. She looks down on Mayom, but the irony is that he's too good for her. If they end up together at the end I'll feel bad for him.
As soon as they mention that Art is an adopted brother and that he must share a room with Oab I start to think that those two are going to be the second couple, in yet another Asian drama "brother" matchup that treads the fine line.
But the actor for Art isn't listed here as part of the main cast so I guess Oab will be paired with Thawin, who hasn't appeared yet, or Sichol, who is annoying. His crying scene went on 3x as long as it should have. What a waste of time.
And yes, for now I find this speculation more interesting than the story of the main leads, but to be fair they haven't had much screen time together.
Next week Chap is shirtless again so I'll be back. ;)
@FreshKicks: I haven't started Oh Boarding House, but Gen Y 2 was such a disaster in my opinion. One of the very…
I don't have any issues with Saint either, I just see so many people saying that his appearance in the series made it worth watching. He's a feast for the eyes to be sure, but he doesn't seem like a good investment for anyone who wants a longterm commitment. :)
I always wish the people who say someone is bad at acting would explain WHY they think that. This site apparently…
I never said you weren't knowledgeable about French. I actually assumed you are fluent. My point was that the condescending comments are wasted on a production aimed at a Thai audience and say more about the commenter than the series.
And with Book and Force I can't stop thinking that they're longtime friends in real life. I would never be able to kiss one of my friends like that and make it convincing.
Episode 5 will get a lot of hate on here. I loved it. I'll take this series over any number of lazily-produced BLs like "Oh Boarding House" and "Gen Y 2", crap that's getting churned out to take advantage of the genre's popularity.
The potential for a spark between Mon and So is becoming more believable as Mon cautiously lets down his guard to let So see who he really is.
So, you can all drool over Saint. I'll be rooting for So. Based on the trailer I know that Mon will get involved with Saint again, but I'm mostly curious to know how that will eventually crash and burn and he will realize that So is the man for him.
Ep 3 & 4 were a trial to get through. Lots of FF through basketball and endless scenes of lollipop searching.…
The music during the backpack scene was exaggerated on purpose, to play with the notion that the climactic moment would be a lollipop reveal. There was no intent to build up real suspense. It was meant to be funny. And it worked for me, but I guess I can see where some people would feel led on.
It's kinda funny when u see ppl saying others shouldn't compare this series to Bad Buddies or other shows. Let's…
I always wish the people who say someone is bad at acting would explain WHY they think that. This site apparently has a lot of experts on the subject but they rarely go into detail.
A lot of the time I think it's just "fashionable cynicism". A lot of us went to college with that type of person. They're no fun to be around, and if you question them they just dismiss you as being less knowledgeable.
its just unfortunate that this series came out after bad buddy, it reminds me of the shipper which aired after…
For real. There's a saying: "Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good."
This is a cute series and pitched at a lighter tone than Bad Buddy. If people keep comparing every new series to Bad Buddy, ITSAY, or Semantic Error they are in for a long run of disappointments.
when the main was attacking the bully, the bully made an expression that reminded of Yu Xi Gu from HIstory 3.…
I know where you're coming from. With a bully character there's the opportunity to go deeper and explore what happened to make them who they are, and by doing that there's a chance to redeem them in a realistic way.
With Jun Seung picking on Haebom and (apparently) nobody else, there could be something about Haebom that brings feelings to the surface that Jun Seung wants to keep suppressed. After Taesung knocked him to the ground he started to cry -- that was an interesting detail that a series with longer run time could expand upon.
So I don't think they will do anything about it here. Jun Seung seems to be there as a catalyst to force Taesung to break the ice between himself and Haebom.
This is so bad, but I've come this far. I'll watch the last episode today, and because I skip over the m/f stuff it won't take me long.
A story is called "sentimental" when it tries to deliver emotions it hasn't earned through the actual storytelling. This is a good example of that.
I guess I can see why Seol Won was attracted to Cheol Soo from the start -- the guy is a hunk -- but they've never given us a reason why Cheol Soo would return those feelings. He was practically running for his life due to Seol Won's constant harassment. It would have been more realistic if he had moved out of the boarding house instead of suddenly falling in love. And yet he is so ardent about it.
Nah. Not believable at all. I'll forget about this show in a few days, though, so no harm done.
Also, to comment on the actors not promoting the series on social media -- actors who do it are being paid to do it since it's usually part of the contract, so maybe this production was such a quickie job that nobody wanted to bother, or perhaps they couldn't afford it in the budget.
I can't recall ever seeing any English-speakers on here condescend to Thai actors when they try to speak English, but you self-glorifying "French speakers" ... wow.
I'm sure Book had just a few weeks of coaching to get ready for the role. Give him a break.
Or maybe take a few weeks of Thai lessons and try to pass as someone who lived in Thailand for a few years.
You'd think a site devoted to Asian drama wouldn't have so many smug people leaving such ignorant comments. You might be embarrassed for Book, but I'm embarrassed for you. If your ears are so offended then maybe you should turn down the sound and just read the subtitles.

I noticed that Viki has wisely changed the subtitle for a key line of dialog in Episode 8 from "Let's be lovers" to "Let's date".
