WAAAAITTT Okay toxic and still consensual. I was feeling iffy about “repaying with ur body” premise but ml doesn’t gaf cause he likes him. Like he would definitely do all this stuff even if he wasn’t indebt 😭. Also the way the ml melts into Jeonghan whenever he kisses him 😮💨
Han Ji Won pissed me off bad this episode. I dont know why he’s acting like this when Kwon Jeongu already said he was fine with it!!!! This whole episode I was stuck between “this *$** *#**@* *!*%**” and “HIMS JUST A BABY 🥺🥺🥺🥺.”
Wasn’t there an arc where he got hit with bricks so much that he got a supper strong forhead, and made money by smashing bricks across his head? I wish they kept that plot point in, it was so funny 😭 Or am I mistaken and that is another book?
Please explain to me how this is just a regular historical drama and Joy of Life is at a different level. I started…
It’s not about the characters and their actions. It’s about the quality of the script, plot holes, one dimensional vs multidimensional characters, cinematography (this doesn’t mean whether a drama looks pretty or not. But rather filming techniques, camera movements, the lighting of a location, etc.), the acting (it was good but it wasn’t mind blowing), as well as the impact of the story.
Comparing this to other costumes dramas that are 9.0+ (not all but most), it falls flat in those areas.
Giving this a 9 is crazy. Its a good show but it’s in the same league as regular historical dramas. I was expecting something on the same level as Joy of Life.
If you’re into toxic relationships, this drama is for you!
Reasons: The love interest is actually insane. Half the time he’s talking to the ML he’s highkey threatening him under the pretense of love. And also the SA that kept being throw in? Not sure if that’s because its a historical drama (happens a lot in those) or if its because its a BL. Might be both tbh. Then there is the constant regular assault. Just because they’re both men doesn’t mean it’s okay to abuse your partner. ig you could make the argument that the love interest was abused and never loved so he doesn’t know better but…👀
This was…border line brain rot yall. Entertaining? Yep. But you have to turn off your brain to enjoy it. If this was a straight drama it would not be rated this high❗️This is at best a 7.8.
Hi guys, I saw debates here, on reddit and on youtube on whether this is a BL or bromance and although I kinda…
You known it’s BL cause they had a BE. Before China banned BL most of them had BE cause that’s how they bypassed censorship. Even now, the “censored” ones that teeter heavily on the line of BL and Bromance have to have bad endings. I honestly was SHOCKED that they even let them do a remake of Addicted Heroin. Idk if you know but the original drama is kinda what started the BL ban in China. People like to credit it to the Untamed but it was really Addicted Heroin.
mine thoughts exactly, I hope we get a new BL that's just as good.out of curiosity, have you watched other, even…
If you want similar tension Unknown (Taiwanese), I Told Sunset About You (Thai), and 180 Degree Latitude Passes Through Us (Thai) are SLOOOWW burns but the tension in them is crazy. They also feel pretty mature. Unknown and 180 Degree feature “forbidden” romances: in Unknown it’s between brothers not related by blood and in 180 Degrees it’s between a college student and his mother’s older friend. I Told Sunset is more of a queer coming-of-age story so although the characters do stupid things (they’re teens), it’s handled well and the cinematography is just beautiful!
As for Korean ones, they do seem childish but there are a few that are exceptions: To My Star 2 (the first one is kinda childish) and Eight Sense (feels like an Indie film).
HOLY SHIIITTTT OMG OMG OMG OMG THE SLOW BURN WAS WORTH IT 😭😭😭😭😭😭. WITH THE WAY THINGS WERE GOING I WAS EXPECTING LESS NGL BUT IM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS. VERY HAPPPPYYYYY
it's strange to me that they are slow burning the relationship like this because they are following the manga…
Yeah ik, I read the manga which is why Im kinda impatient. Cause they got together REALLY fast in the manga. Part of me thinks it’s because this show is rated G and the manga is like PG-13. I honestly dont see how they got together in the manga being how they get together in the show.
I love me a slow burn but this is the slowest of the slow burns. Usually in slow burns their friendship develops faster rather than their romantic relationship. But in this show EVERYTHING moves slowly.
The way I got so excited when Takara called Taishim, Nakano should be studied. If he doesn’t continue to call him Nakano when he wakes up I’m going to riot. It’s not like he’s gonna know what Takara means by it cause he’s slow in the romance department, but it would make me feel better.
That being said I do enjoy the show and watch it as soon as it comes out.
(ep 3) I liked that the old guy didn't act mean or angry at any time. It really shows that sometimes stalkers…
definitely weird but I like how Takara called him creepy CAUSE HE IS. I find it weird how in some Japanese shows the love interests ignore how creepy the main character is.
