That's why I love censored Chinese dramas that are based on same-sex novels. There's intimate moments that go beyond just kissing since it's not allowed. You can tell by the way they stare at each other and treat each other, and they're always slow burn and focus on the plot.
If you haven't seen them yet, some of my favorite examples of this are: Winter Begonia and Killer and Healer.
If you're an enjoyer of sci-fi and action movies, you'll love this! Because that's basically all this is. If you don't like sci-fi and action, skip it. If you come into this drama looking for something groundbreaking, you set yourself up for disappointment. Nobody goes into a Marvel movie wanting a groundbreaking script, they go in for the action and sci-fi aspect. That's the same attitude ppl should go into this show with. It had a decent plot, everything wrapped up smoothly, the production was GREAT, and the action will satisfy any action lover's cravings.

I agree, I got into BL 2017 so this genuinely isn't bad for me. I've seen A LOT worse. I think people are used to high quality BLs so when they see old school ones they're like wtf. This would've been a hit back in the days, it's a whole lot better than the ones that were popular back then. It was quite enjoyable for me, I liked it more than KP (what everyone seems to be comparing it to).
