Now i really want to have a story of jin niang zi ( the golden snake spirit). Her and that cultivator love story…
I skimmed some pages of the novel online but did not find more, sadly. Also would have like to know what she did with him once she whisked him away with a touch of her magic fan!
If anyone starts thinking what to watch after saying goodbye to this drama, I recommend "Blossoms in adversity"…
thanks for recom. I have started on Swords and Fairy, the remake, to follow He Yu (Furong Jun), at least for a few episodes, and compare with the two other that aired this year.
I highly disagree with avenue x on everything except on LGX being a bit too bulky because I felt it too especially…
Usually, I am repelled by her wholesale and virulent negativity, only agreed with her roasting of the Netflix version of Three Body Problem, recently. To add to An chuxia : I did like her recoms of Dear Diary (a strange thing, full of jokes) and of Oh No!Here Comes Trouble! which was a new and enjoyable take on ghost stories : unusual dramas that I might have missed otherwise. But I only watch her vids in homeopathic doses, to keep my cool after my violent reaction to one of her items last summer. Mostly avoid those about mainstream dramas, now.
About Lin Gengxin, I only have good thoughts about him. He can be and act as he wants to, I am never annoyed. Paunchy? Nah, slightly cuddly comfortable as a teddy bear maybe. I like that sort of guys anyway, aloof and all. A comfortable, cushy god, not too omnipotent and letting his spear-wielding "goddess Athena"-like younger interest get near, and do the footwork, in exchange for feeding nice stuff and shy kisses : looks endearing.
btw, if you are curious about the other actors, perhaps specifically He Yu, who plays Furong Jun in TLoSL and Li Xiaoyao in just airing Sword and Fairy (remake of Chinese Paladin original "#1"), you can find all the Weibo links for them in the short bio notes to the right of character's description in the illustrated gallery of my Notes : https://kisskh.at/discussions/yu-feng-xing/124265-notes-about-the-legend-of-shen-li-xianxia-drama (use the Table of Contents to navigate it)
If you like cool and aloof guys but tight knit scenario and good pictures, try War of Faith starring Wang Yibo,…
The remake of Sword & Fairy might be to your taste then, it's just starting.
What's xuxia? I only know about xuanhuan, wuxia, and xianxia? typo for wuxia?
In wuxia bordering to xuanhuan, if you had not watched it and are not among those faint hearted, try A Journey To Love in case you missed it? It was awesome! There's Eternal Brotherhood too, but we only got first part last month, I hope what I read will come true, that part 2, delayed bc of the "regulations" will air before end of June. Very intricate story, despite a relatively annoying over emphasis on FL to cater for the "love and kisses" addicts who really should not be given an inch in that dark war story of struggles between countries and factions.
One more week and this drama is going to end, I need another Xianxia asap to avoid drama hangover 😅
If you like cool and aloof guys but tight knit scenario and good pictures, try War of Faith starring Wang Yibo, Wang Yang and Li Qin. Not xianxia, but Republican era, usually not that much loved genre, but that drama still got to #2 behind #1 Legend of Shen Li in popularity last week, and I am among those who follow that gripping story ! Xianxia + Republican era are my best balancing acts, for c-drama romanticism , at the moment lol
