No he is not really treating her bad, she is very nosy and easily biased, so gets punished as expected, but not fired. Furthermore, that boss is rather nice to his employees, defending them and their earnings.
The first episodes are unlikely but fun, it depends on each viewer if they stay laughing at the slapstick clowning despite plot holes, tropes, and other "damning flaws". Both leads look good. It is just as announced: light comedy.
If you don't have any other watching project, or want to compare CXX acting in the two romances (Our Interpreter is diametrical opposite in mood to My Boss), you can start, and see whether you like it or not for yourself.

The "villa" (designer architecture mansion) was impressive, and also the tea growing terraces around : was this filmed in Hangzhou or somewhere like that ? Does anyone know which filming location was used?

I think it is someone else's gift she was recycling. Without even have checked contents? So careless and unprofessional is that was from a client... She comes out as air-headed and downright stupid now, sigh. These "lawyers" are like in a clown slapstick show, crying included. Tropes again with the upside down book... But the scenery is nice, as is ZRN's dress.

I am not a big fan of either FL in My Boss and Our Interpreter. Was looking at the first because it came out first, and I had good memories from other dramas in which CXX was starring. Liking his modern haircut 哈哈哈！Laughed a lot in the beginning of MB so was going to be rather lenient about the tropes and devices,but suddenly (probably the mom intruding and the friend suicide rescuing) burst my bubble (no pun intended, I love bubble tea, sago pearls and spicy teas) and I grew almost bitter for having slightly put on hold Our Interpreter, which has a strong start despite diametrical opposite : cold FL, spiteful ML vs "MB" cold ML, deliberately clueless FL.

I always like c-dramas that care to showcase literature, poetry, culture. The epigraphs from Byron and Rabindranath Tagore at beginning of episodes are thought provoking. Mentioning the various translations into Chinese of the title of Gone With the Wind in the conversation about AI translation, between Xiao and clients in ep3, also caught my attention.

I liked Fall In Love and CXX in "commander uniform". In TSL, the xianxia white styling was not so good for CXX (he played well there too, of course).

My Boss started as funny and light hearted, this one almost opposite, but I was keen to watch CXX who I liked a lot in some previous dramas. But I grew irritated by My Boss accumulation of bad devices (childishness, coincidences, plot holes, misunderstandings, toxic ex, suicide threat, various big and lesser tropes...) by ep.18 when things seem at last to point to getting on better romance track.
In OI, it is Victoria Song who started with a rather chilly stance against her former suitor but I think that, despite that and some (rather unforgivable given subject matter) translation quirks, the love story could develop more interestingly.
So I am still watching both.

I also like Z.Tao in many of his screen works even if it is his C-pop songs that won me over since T.A.O., One Heart etc. His concerts are very good too, the November one in GZ was dope despite he just was recovering from bad flu: so cool with the wirework and the crowd chanting with him. And I am the proud owner of some Ace-YKYB pieces, one lovely white T with flowers, one pink with mermaid, two hooded sweatshirts with the latest dragon design reminding of his tattoo 哈哈哈!

No, I don't know Hindi but it's nice to learn from you. So, that + the "Huasheng Corpation" ... very sloppy translator(s) at work, not even for the usual difficult subtitling. End of ep.3 had me double take twice: the above + the "spray solution" dispute subtitling.

indeed - and Negotiator was not even about interpreting languages, but mostly about business and land deals contracts conflicts and the difficulties of a young business empire heir, so unless OI later changes business focus instead of dealing with Huasheng Corp(or)ation (the repeated mention on screens of "Corpation" made me doube-take: how could a script and production about translation make such a mistake? ep.3) with the A.I. company, it really ought only to be recommended as "business deals related".

Perhaps that would save it for me - I hate to drop a drama and am usually very forgiving, even enjoying ads or tropes festival, when they are present (a Luo Zheng drama recently that got copiously scolded included). This time the fun was overridden by the annoyance at what you take in stride.
If the romance starts, maybe I could try to overlook it. I have also seen plenty of unlikely dramas with overbearing CEOs and Cinderellas, quite unfazed too, without being so annoyed.
Just this one mixes a too serious outlook on law matters that clashes with the "Demon Master" cohabitation trope. The ML who started as tsundere but convincingly serious and believable, suddenly faded into a puppet on strings receiving three glasses of water thrown into face with no knee-jerk reaction and a feeble shame faced bleating to CY parents -- and of course looks annoyed about it. As I was.
Really, the romance MUST start soon or else....
I am very patient, so I will probably sit it through, counting points, and still hoping the positive will outweigh the negative.
I will also try not to react here until then or end, since it spoils the mood for those who are still laughing as I was in the start.
Have fun : everyone is different, so if this is good for you, fine, don't let my misgivings get to you.

Yes I can watch without subs so I did get the weak explanation to her barging in. So unlikely that our hero let the door to the apartment not be shut properly... Was not he targeted by haters ; was not he a stickler for details? He was sitting on the couch with no earplugs and could not hear that there was noise from someone walking upstairs??
And for the over-the-top mom to trudge up a staircase long after they got in, and find the apartment. Not like they would have a postbox in entrance at ground level to broadcast which number apartment they were in : no, it's really implausible, as is finding the friend trying to climb the rail to drown herself, just in the nick of time, after dark, minutes after she phoned to CY. Too many implausibilities.
This plot is getting on my nerves, marring my initial amusement at the comedic parts. Some episodes had me laughing a lot, despite the unlikeliness, but it got just too much, and the mom, the friend, the sister and her ex, the lovelorn partner lawyer Jun, the over the top mom, and henpecked dad of QH, the parents of CY... are plain annoying.
I am sorry for CXX who does the best he can with the nonsense, and for ZRN who needed something better too.
Not sure it will get on better tracks.

I did, in part, on YT. Z.Tao plays a funny Monkey King, albeit it was not my favorite adaptation of the Journey to the West. It is a comedic take on the story rather than really wuxia.
