Man.. Sml is so annoying seriously. But it's hard to hate him, he played the character of smart genius confident…
do you mean Yu You or the dark horse newcomer ? The first one is a bit of a rigid professor who can't "date a student". The other is ... interesting. As was the robot "dog". But why he's so fascinated by Shuyi is beyond me, except he's just intent on conquest in all matters, but not really interested in the young lady. Shi Yan is too aloof. But getting more likeable since the forbidding start: we know that he really wants Shuyi to be his gf, despite being hurt by her public acting like they are just acquaintances (the hand wrenching away and step aside were really strange, when Shanshan knew all about Shuyi and Shi Yan already.). The mention in previous episode that he had to "feed a cat that could become fierce and scratch when it was hungry" made me smile.
Nothing has changed except Shi Yan is becoming more open and assertive of his relationship with Shu Yi...... but…
I admit it is not easy to follow Bai Lu's post about this one among the 2 dramas aired almost simultaneously : βThis is the fate between Zheng Shuyi and Jiang Xuening with the audience. Fate has arrived, so both characters appeared in front of everyone. I hope Zheng Shuyi can bring positive energy and happiness to everyone, while Jiang Xueningβs perseverance can move you.β But there are more episodes to watch, so even if I do have misgivings about ZSY I am still watching.
I am genuinely interested in answers to following questions by those who follow the drama and know more about it : - which songs did Song Le Lan sing on stage ? - where was the drama filmed - I know it is Zhejiang and figure Wucheng is Wuzhen, but how about An cheng and Wu city ? - which real temple did serve as background for the CP picture ? Looking forward to answers.
perhaps you could contribute more ? (hopefully something new, insightful and positive, not just rote repeating…
ooh 9 days ago? next time, just don't ask questions that have nothing to contribute and force you to admit that you don't know how to use your tools properly. I really thought you'd come to throw aspersion on the show implying no one is watching. Questions like yours are not always innocent : nothing like the factual ones I have, and I am annoyed by some here, as well as some Pyrrhic judgements by some who are so pleased to announce they are "dropping". Myself, I am enjoying the series, and some comments like the one pinned in Discussions.
Now, if you have watched, perhaps you can answer those ones : - which songs did Song Le Lan sing on stage ? - where was the drama filmed - I know it is Zhejiang and figure Wucheng is Wuzhen, but how about An cheng and Wu city ? - which real temple did serve as background for the CP picture ? SY's girl?? you mean his niece? btw whose niece is QLZ? or did QLZ just pretend to be one? Ah yes, answer in previous…
it's ok dear. These c-drama families are complicated. That's often what makes them amusing. Not only c-dramas : remembering some old soap operas back to 1978 (such as the Ewing family of the Dallas TV series! Looks like that old series has finally disappeared in the dust of time: like many that amuse us now undoubtedly will. This one too: but I am still enjoying it as pop corn snack, not hating it.)
Why is it quiet here? No discussions about this drama
perhaps you could contribute more ? (hopefully something new, insightful and positive, not just rote repeating what other commenters -fans or haters- have written) If you are watching but if not, what are you doing here ?
I am really waiting to the moment or episode when in ZSY will know that QSY is SY's girl and not QLZ.
SY's girl?? you mean his niece? btw whose niece is QLZ? or did QLZ just pretend to be one? Ah yes, answer in previous comment. QLZ is a fraud through and through.
Then I am sure you will enjoy it ! π Z.Tao is special... Am too far to be able to go to the concert in Guangzhou this Friday-Saturday, but already enjoying those new songs of 30s Club that are already released. If you don't know all about it yet, you can have a look in "Recent Discussions" above.
Except that itβs a bit long drama , itβs a pretty good drama overall and really enjoyable !!!
It is, yes, Z.Tao and cute pets and the pretty Wang Herun, whom he took to introduce the drama to audience of variety show Hello Saturday of Oct.21 ; they all joined together to perform the YKYB song : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOPruC5uPxs The plot was not best, but I also enjoyed that drama overall. Same, feeling it was a bit too long, and it could have been better if condensed to shorter length, but I still did not feel it would be right to skip (even the annoying lawyer, the jealous uncle, and some repeated scenes of TT bro playing with cousin SC.) There is a fun quip in episode 9: ykwim π
At first glance Shi Yan and Zheng Shuyi appear completely mismatched for each other. He is taciturn, solemn, methodic,…
Very nice :-) also enjoying the show.
In the beginning, I was somehow thinking back to Wang Hedi's role as Daoming Si, playing with Shancai, but Bai Lu is much more interesting than Shancai, and Hedi is getting it totally right. The others in the cast are not hogging too much screen time and they also have a trajectory that I am not displeased with (Guan and Ruoshan, Shi Yue and Yu You). It's second, third (more?) instance in a few months of my watching some of these and other guys as well, in that well chosen cast (Miles Wei, Zeng Li, Shi Yu, Jiang PeiYao, Koou ZhenHai, Dong Xuan) and I was happy to recognize them in these new roles: familiar faces that are adding their skills). The ups and downs and twists and turns of the story are expected, and I am just rolling along the bumpy path chuckling at each pothole and at Bai Lu's infectious grins. I caught the drama late (reality comes first...) although it was on my tbw from day 1 (Bai Lu?? count me in! even if she's got 3 dramas this year! I never tire of her. Hedi: hm hm, he's good too! says the luoshifan who watched, enthralled, ... Wu Lei and ZLS rise up to the galaxy, instead of Hedi when the Fairy and Devil tale was airing). Anyway, I have much pleasure binge watching and reading your above notes too !
About your question -- hmm. too personal. Perhaps I'll write a romance about it someday. Fate overrode rationality. Some sort of telepathy played a role (I totally relate to our drama CEO Shi Yan's way of hearing what should not be heard in normal, noisy environment: it was so for us and still is, at times). But that was in the past, so it's not that much about a future that has now lasted many years despite centuries changing. Rationally, it should have been what you describe, but in fact it was different: neither of us was looking for a partner at the time, and reluctant about the very idea of marriage and family and sharing wealth and support over a shorter or longer period! It was like in the "One heart" Z.Tao song "As long as you play with me, as long as you stay with me" ... but we got caught for good in our own game.
For the newbies and some hailang, on the eve of Singles day 11.11 here is an introduction to Z.Tao's music and a first Profile, illustrated, with links to more music and some fashion, luxury (incl. explanation of what some saw as a cryptic line in the song "Promise").
It is parked in the (always hidden, newbies have to be curious to find it, although it is not that difficult) Discussion section of "My Precious" drama. (Since MDL provides the introductions to dramas and shows, I have not (yet) added descriptions and links to those in the Profile, but you might nevertheless find the profile more useful than the ultra short bio and list of screen appearances here). I may expand on that and move the resulting Profile somewhere else later.
In case you are watching the drama and want to find out more about the pets that were guest stars, look at the other companion piece : Pets, with its additional list of Celeb's treasured pets. If you know more there, you are as always welcome to make additions in reply.

So, I watched this one slowly, on the one hand because of interruptions by other activities, on the other because of more interest in another small drama. I never skip but it is true that there was much repetition and that the "secret" was out of the bag too early to be really thrilled by the second half development.
The purpose of raising awareness about responsibility for adopted pets was worthy. It was developed into "case studies" that really showcased the chosen pets. The drama could perhaps have been more realistic about some vet care, but on the whole, it pinpointed some facts. For instance, the relatively small number of guide dogs in China, but also a warning against seeing those as "workers" that could be used for years in demanding jobs such as guiding paralympic runners. Some care that actually amounts to mistreatment...
I kind of wish they didn't spend so many episodes getting us to know and love the He family only kill them all…
There was one member of the Hè family left, to find out the why and exert revenge + move on. The twists and turns get increasingly difficult until we get revealed what rare condition (actually it does exist in reality) caused Jiuling to be sent to the magician healer abbess on mount Wuhua. Brace yourself if you thought just beheading one family was tough... (but the story is not as tough as One and Only, the tragic masterpiece, or as the revenge of Ling/Huo Buyi in LLTG). Nevertheless there's light and a bright future in the end, in episode 27 which is necessary to conclude this drama. Perhaps even a cure for all involved.
Coming back briefly to express my thoughts. THERE MUST HAVE BEEN A GLITCH IN THE ADMINISTRATIVE FILING WORK TO…
>Good news for drama watchers : I have managed to have episode 27 added on TVDB database, that is used by streaming platforms. But anyway you have the link to that episode on Viki in the Tidbits.
