This one did remind too, but not as copy, of Demi Gods wuxia and Jin Yong (also Legend of Condor Heroes, Side Story of Fox Volant...) since there are lively martial arts elements, although I at first thought Huang Rong (but she was not injured and did not sport pigtails) for the childlike carefreeness and daring mischievousnes of the girl of 16 or 18.
Actress Liang Jie played in SSOFV so that was perhaps why she was looking forward to watch this one, further to be friends with Ireine Song. And she played with Chen Zheyuan in Handsome Siblings where Xiao Yu'er had almost similar pigtails !
The historical fantasy setting is in "Jialin kingdom."
The hair style (esp when Jiuling "nine spirits" was seen with tousled hair) emphasized her wanting not to be seen as marriageable yet ; she was far from home for too long and wanted to enjoy it in her home, for longer, be the child she could not be when she was sent away due to sickness.
Not Sailor Moon, the Magical girl is yellow haired and her pigtails are much longer. To me, it looked more like the style of Xiao Yu er in Handsome Siblings, played by Chen Zheyuan! I guess we all think of favorite dramas when we watch many...

yes I hope it is a temporary glitch. Because it takes away a lot of interest for me (perhaps others) who like to see pictures there.

Posting even simple text in Discussions is also unstable now : I had started typing directly, and after a few paragraphs, typed a backspace and zzzap, there went all my hard work! Ok, learned my lesson : started a version from memory on a document; copied and pasted it into Discussion, tweaked the size of types and made it bold or italics, ... all the while praying (and cursing) that it didn't bounce again, because that was really a waste of time !

All backspaces don't end up behaving like the Raygun zapper but I noticed it happened because I was typing close to a link that I'd had to add in full in the section about where the drama was filmed. Having to beware of such risks is adding unnecessary stress to contributors.

I am sorry I can't at the moment add pictures, and even many links, because of a technical problem with that section so some tools can't be used any longer (i.e. add pictures, add links to names...)
Perhaps in the future, I will be able to do so, but at the moment, I checked that the glitch also affects previous Discussion pieces elsewhere, so it makes it complicated for me to update or build new ones. ------ I am of the opinion that "a well chosen picture" (or map, or sketch...) is worth more than a long paragraph or book.... So : frustrated. But still liking this drama.

For those who like spoilers and episode summaries, I recommend checking out MsDarkqueen's clear ones! There is some debate in the interpretation of what we saw some characters do, but since it is ambiguous, we'll have to enjoy more watching to find out 😊

Correction: not Jui... her name is Jiu Ling 九灵 (Nine Spirit/sharp mind)
Also I am not sure the 学兄 Senior brother-classmate aka Lord Yong was not aware about what the poison he led Jiuling to use as "forgetting medication" could do; he is a rival to Rong Yu, so I wouldn't be surprised if he is not really sending healing herbs to cure Rong Yu at her request.

ok ep 7 and 8 are available to me now. I assume I will have to continue watching in raw though, until I check if viki has it with good subtitles because since ep2 I found Mango's English subtitling to be not Chinese, that I do 理解和明白, but... Klingon? 😭
I have switched to https://onetouchtv.cc/detail/the-inextricable-destiny/7 touring the platforms... oh!?? surprisingly 7 has now rather good hard wired dual subs - my preferred mix !! 😁
must check back if it changed back to ep2 after watching these 7 & 8 first.

Reset is only 15 eps long and to me it was THE best drama of 2022 until LLTG aired. But that did not lessen my raves for Reset. I warmly recommend that you reconsider, if you have time.

in waiting till it airs next year or around end 2023, although I don't really use and enjoy to read novels before they get adapted and acted, ( since I read other stuff), perhaps I'll read up on the Snowstorm, in waiting for it to cool (hot heads and) excessive heat on this planet...

Am wondering why he appears so reclusive. He did go for inspection to dangerous site in ep1, and stepped confidently to state his claim in front of emperor, so that looks contradictory. Ok we know he "has no martial arts skills", but he is a clairvoyant who can "see" future events?

There are a few I noticed. Wu RiTan played by Uighur actress Gulmira, who looks like a friend and confidante of FL in the drama,
not sure, but is it Chu Chu who is in love with FL elder brother, yes she is FL sister in law, they said so beginning ep5, so she is married to elder brother ;
a nasty princess (was she Xi He?) who will have FL beaten up on first occasion because she was silenced from disparaging FL in front of empress by a swift pill shot into her mouth ;
another princess...
Plus quite a few women in the markets of course, as sellers or customers or gawking bystanders who watch girl get beaten to a pulp without calling for help or intervening.
FL does need her martial arts skill.
I thought she would die already in ep5 and be reincarnated or something to let the story go on !

I think his first drama kiss was at the end of All About Secrets, where he took almost a good minute to enjoy tasting Li Landi's lips and face, drinking her mouth in a manner that was not very brotherly : hai keyi, bu cuo Gege！ [还可以，不错 哥哥!]. Already, in the opening titles, he was the one who stood out most there, for his intense gaze.

I am happy that you like it! Fun thing : the first drama I watched featuring CZY was also Hello Dear Ancestors because my first fandom is science fiction and I was curious so went to check out what sort of time travel had been cooked up there. I totally agree with you on your impression. 😘

Am only at beginning #3. Sure, very young girl who just escaped from school is reckless. But hitherto she saved ML, not the reverse.
The story is just light entertainment, anyway, so for more profound meaning, by all means don't stay here to "rate" at ep. 2, 3 or 4 or on trailer and clips (I have not looked if there are any : I usually do that at the end of my watching so as to not be too spoiled.)
ML is handsome. FL is lively. I am not far enough in to really venture a guess about how the story will unfold. Since Liang Jie posted on her Weibo that she was going to watch it, I thought it might be worth it for an "escapist" story taking mind away from tiring or too serious matters.

Yes, long time no see, hope you are well! This series is not very long. 26 episodes?
#2 was somewhat all over the place, but perhaps also marred by the subtitles that nosedived in accuracy to the point I turned sound up and subtitling off. But I am in a noisy place with interruptions, so will perhaps leave it on hold until I can enjoy in better environment. Maybe I'll wait until Viki has it.
It looks like light entertainment indeed, and that's fine by me. But very predictable again: take arrow catching and fur coat throwing, star chart stomping like Runyu weaving destinies, some villains on the run, shake well, and what have we? But Gongzi has a sweet face.
There are enough profound and distressing issues in the world at large, as is.
Less noise. Will try for #3 + 4 & perhaps 5 before retiring to sleeping berths on my starship flying to next destination.

Since Liang Jie advertised for it as the drama she was going to watch, I am also giving it a try.
It doesn't feel like very seriously historical, more like a sort of fantasy romance girlish-centric wuxia perhaps, with the hairdo and conspicuous red dress. What dynasty might that be? Is it a frontiers story?
But there's talk about Beijing, and also of flood damages and relief for victims.
The reckless young girl JiuLing who "doesn't want to get married" and teases her brother endlessly (he looks like he is not that bright), makes her general dad melt dotingly before her. She is constantly on the go, and has some high martial arts skills since she "flew" in to help a traveler. Still, despite the unlikeliness of traveling with someone unseen "one month earlier" (the story went back and forth in time then), it was good fun in first episode. Twist was a bit expected, but looked nice.
I don't know the story or the actors/actresses, so I come here totally unbiased, and so far, like what I see! Will continue into episode 2, since it looks like it may go on in cheerful mode.

I updated it Oct4. Since then, there has not been more noteworthy news; CZY's latest Weibo post only mentioned "Very tired but very happy" and there was not much to bring home from Liang Jie's Weibo page, either.
