I did not say yet, but might as well do now, that I posted a (humorous only) short anecdote that incorporates some of the funny things she and Chen Zheyuan were up to last week, with some pix of LiuYi and RouRou. It is hidden (why not?) in the food section in my Profile of Chen Zheyuan. (also hidden in a Discussion, but fairly easy to find). That will be my light contribution to fanfiction domain sampling. (I had done a Profile of Wu Xuanyi, CZY's former partner, too, with blessing from yiyuan fans, but could not imagine Xuanyi in such anecdotes. She did not have the same rapport with Yuan that Lusi demonstrated: XY & CZY can only be colleagues and friends, outside scripts, and then... Well, fleeing like XY did from a kiss is somewhat damning? Although we did learn along the archeological digs about Yuan and Lusi 's impish habits like: stuffing dumpling with leek and munching on garlic before kissing!! Heroically delivering next those romantic gushy scenes!) But I was relieved to notice that there did not appear to be any strife between the yiyuan and keluli and that dear Rosy herself went virally promoting her ex co star's then "next" airing drama : so sweet of her to do so! Looks like it also boomeranged to promote Hidden Love some more, deservedly.
Rosy/Lusi has had many dream and sigh about a YangLu, WuLu, and now YuanLu CP... Of course, nothing's confirmed and most probably the two stars are not in a hurry to forfeit their freedom, but does she impishly and bright-eyedly add fuel to that fire!!! despite Yuan is now buried to his neck in sheep mountain country drama shooting, somewhere in Lianshang, and she is on the edge of the red (wool?) carpet in Milan, looking at silk and stuff before taking off to dip her toes in the pools of Thailand after or before her speech, while poor Yuan wallows in the mud amidst (landslides?) and explosions!
Watching snapshots of these drama experts on the fan pages re-posting bootleg and official pictures and news is fun, food for imagination! (Don't forget to add a canelé to your breakfast tomorrow? Me, I have a bag ready for my next journey, even if it will be more down to earth, in real life drama solving.)

Launch ceremony for The White Olive Tree was yesterday in the boondocks far from city, with lots of sheep (border of Sichuan and Gansu? Mianyang? ) Chen Zheyuan advised fans not to come because it can be dangerous, since it is very isolated and rough terrain! We'll surely know anyway since much attention is on him now, especially after he was cover boy for Madame Figaro earlier this month with an interview that I reposted copies of text in the Profile I built about him.
This Profile is divided into sections for convenience : Biodata, family, fandom, psychological profile compiled from different sources, pets ; Dramas and Movies with direct links, including upcoming work ; A couple of selected TV shows (linked) he was taking part in (not all: it's a sample); Musical career start, band, OST songs with direct links to listen to them; Sports likes and achievements with direct links to the shows ; Modeling with some select sponsorships and magazine appearance including the Madame Figaro issue in which the interview mentioned features ; Food and a funny anecdote about meatballs which have another meaning from what you find in your plate ; Humor and Seriousness including a pep talk for young people and many funny pictures.
It is illustrated with many GIFs I made from various sources, and links. The concept of the Profile reflects my view of the "Emerging star", but I have tried to stay more factual than subjective. Of course, I am very admiring of his achievements, even of his singing songs when clearly, he does not enjoy it that much - he can do it, but he is not a songbird like Zhao Lusi or some other of his ex co-stars; but that does not detract from the fact that he is very remarkable and likable, even charismatic: I noticed his care and patience for fans who go overboard, some even near stalking and crowding him. And his humble motto of 好好学习 天天向上 (study hard, improve every day).

I don't do it all the time, because it is time-consuming and I also like to watch dramas, not only go gold-digging and archeological excavating around them - but that sort of research amuses me at times, and can even keep my interest stimulated. Not that I ever was bored by "our hero" Yuan Gege (:D ) who I started following because I like speculative fiction and fantasy and he committed a fun drama there, back in the days, with the otherwise minor "Hello Dear Ancestors !" Yes I know he is not fond of it himself and much prefers Handsome Siblings. As for the sweet school romances, I think he is through with them now, has done well and wants to explore "other realms" : I sure will be watching, hoping he does not fall foul to other mishaps and drama purgatory like two pieces of his hard work already did. If you don't know already about those, I promise you'll do after reading the Profile. Even if I am still not a specialist or long-standing yuanbao and only an enthusiastic c-drama lover. There are a few things that still puzzle me : when and where did the fandom name originate, and why did not 陈浙远 set it down as other idols do, by incorporating his own name in it? i.e. why 元宝 yuánbǎo and not 远宝 ？Of course, there is no tone difference, since the double third tone rule causes a switch of first third tone to second, i.e. theoretical yuǎnbǎo would be pronounced yuánbǎo anyway. So was it a sign of humility that he did not insist that 远 being substituted to 元 in this "treasured" name? I was interested by the discovery that in fact, a 元宝 can be found in many shapes, not only "ingots" (although the boat shaped one is the most ubiquitous) and many metals : it symbolically broadens the scope a lot, including if one considers the uses of 元宝 as currency, lucky symbol, and esoterics, TCM or fengshui tool! That drama was perfect in its category of sweet romcom, for me. I got so enthralled that I set out to write stuff in the Discussion section, with some research, and built a Profile for Chen Zheyuan, ZLS having already enough, so I only linked the Ultra Fan Guide and some more. Okay, by itself this Ultra fan guide is insufficient, (and the authors mentioned they could not modify), but with more data in comments, there is already a lot... I only added the "poster" for the September 27 event, when she'll be chosen as spokesperson for the WeTV platform.
I added a few gifs in the Profile a few minutes ago. One is interesting but sad: his reaction to a phone call to his dad, caught on camera when he was not as seasoned as he is now. I think that the story about his parents divorce and him having been raised by grandparents may be true, although I was at first skeptical, not having found evidence before except some pictures that indeed look like he looks up to an older woman when he was an adolescent. It could explain his letting slip once in a conversation I heard, that he has two younger sisters, although it was not clear if he was raised with them, or if they were his mother's or father's children from other marriage. I also added a gif showing him playing basketball (from a cut of BTS in Hidden Love). Another one too, showing him "eating with gusto" (from a longer video collecting footage including his eating with ZLS). And a link to the latest "explosive" trailer for Dark Night and Dawn.
There was not much in the way of news today on his Weibo and xiaohongshu, except on xhs a funny cryptic "dialogue" for today, titled "工作🧩 好好学习 天天向上 Hǎo hào xuéxí tiāntiān xiàngshàng /study hard, improve every day 2023-09-14 四川 Sichuan" and mentioning also Inner Mongolia. So, was CZY away there and did he take a picture of another cat, causing Liu Yi's jealousy? The FB fanpages have not much else to report, so I don't need to worry I missed anything important.
I am checking frequently to see if the announced (truth or melon?) reshoot of scenes for The Golden Hairpin will or not be made in September... Hoping that it will take place so that drama can be saved and injected in the shortly upcoming list of close future dramas...

I looked at your list and was amused by your assessment of WIFTY that was touted as "better" or "equal to HL" by some : myself, I was bored stiff after a few episodes, because I was too caught up in HL and research about CZY then, so I did not even log it into my list as started or dropped !
I see you also plan to morph into the perfect yuanbao watching everything that will come from our hero. Meanwhile, perhaps watch, if you have time : Handsome Siblings, Renascence or older CZY dramas? (I need to rewatch those myself sometime, to rate them and include them in my list eventually.)
But I think you could also broaden your focus and include the following on your tbw: * Love Like The Galaxy (warning: first 3-4 episodes are tough and can be triggering to some, just hang on or start later and come back to beginning once you have caught up on the reasons for the mom's apparent cruelty. Let's say, watch first episode until Ling Buyi softly pronounces Shaoshang's name as he watches her carriage driving off, and skip (coming back to missed parts later). Other masterpieces to my mind, that I'd recommend : * Lighter and Princess (tough moments around the middle that explain the strange first episode). Wonderful OST. * The Forbidden Flower (steamy but delicate love story set in Hainan and Sichuan Qiang district). Haunting OST. * One and Only + Forever and Ever (if you can do without a boatload of kisses and are not too triggered by some gore : battle scenes and last scenes of OaO and some in F&E are tough). Some iconic tunes.
Of course, there's a lot airing that may turn out enthralling too. I have just embarked on South Wind Knows My Mood. I rather like that drama's first episodes, although I clicked on a whim, am not that familiar with cast (some mention the actress carries a baggage of haters, but since I don't know her from other drama, will not let that sway me). But there's definitely too much stuck in my tbw, distracting me + I am a lazy and moody watcher. Will log this new drama on list and rate it later, if it keeps interesting me. If not... well I will simply not mention it any further, like I did not mention my foray into WIFTY.
