I suppose she's not a college mate but a roommate, she could be quite younger.
I think so too. Can't remember Tu Xiaomeng claiming to ever have been classmate of Ji Xing ; they operate in such different fields, live-streaming songs and products, and making hi tech programs and stuff. She looks like a "little sister" from somewhere, but I don't remember where from she joined the best friends quartet. She does act and look like she is same age or so as Lu Linjia.
It seems HT would have resolved the matter too because the investigation dug up that the reason for her relapse…
She added risks for herself by going recklessly investigating without taking off high heels! (ep25 38:50) Can't believe she still had high heels on after running down concrete stairs, when Han Ting caught her while Tang Song (+ dark glassed undercover policeman?) stopped the brick wielding offender !
That was to better admire Xu Kai's Bvlgari wristwatch 🤣Not a prop : his own treasure. (Wondering if he got…
It looks likely 😅
Seldom did a c-drama do without product placement of some kind : face masks, medicine for colds, beverages like Rio or beer, clothes designer brands, bags, jewelry, phones, computers, furniture, kitchen equipment etc. Did we catch the brand of toothpaste in ep26 or else to justify the general wording of "soap opera" ? Sometimes, it's annoying, sometimes it's goofy, sometimes it's even interesting to get a sort of secondary insight into consumer markets in China at a given period !
Productions are phasing off or doing away with controversial products such as cigarettes and hard liquors now. The latter can still be shown, since Chinese social and business culture still is heavy on drinking strengths. But often without insisting now on "time honored brands" such as Wuliangye, Moutai, Johnny Walker whisky, or XO Cognac. Since drunk driving is prohibited, it's mostly to show drunk female (usually) be taken care of by the handsome young suitors, or despised by the old lechers. In ABAY I noticed the recurrence of non alcoholic cocktails, without the nickname "virgin" attached to them in bars and clubs. As for dramas set in times before the 2010s, I was amused by the way the short drama To The Wonder handled these controversial products in the "wilderness convenience store" sequence... That short 8 episodes drama was such a delight overall !
Wait I just found out that ji xing or is it "xing" means Star ⭐ in Mandarin 🤣🙂
It's nice to use c-dramas to learn some language 🤣🤣🤣 Here's a song for you : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-o6I63Lqb8 ("Silence Wang"/Wang Sulong singing Little Star, now a very well- known song written, composed and sung by Wang Sulong. It was included in the album "Slowly Understand" released on November 19, 2010)
Han Ting, you are such a loser waiting until 12am on the dot 😭😭
That was to better admire Xu Kai's Bvlgari wristwatch 🤣 Not a prop : his own treasure. (Wondering if he got a deal on product placement with the brand ? It might be so). Have a look at its price in photo section. It's not even the most expensive of XK's toys.
Ji Xing has regrets about her one-night stand. On the other hand, Han Ting is disturbed by her quick disappearance.…
Ji Xing may not so much have been regretting as be unsettled at the depth of her own daring and what she got herself into (after all, the guy was in a stratospheric class compared to her humble roots, so the difference would certainly have consequences to be pondered). Besides, some crucial words had not been said yet, so.... when he asked her at last (ep24), the problem was partly smoothed over (but far from resolved, I think). I don't think she viewed the first tryst as a one night stand, to be digested and forgotten, instead she was wrapping her head around the notion that she was entering unknown territory.
Han Ting also probably could have been regretting that he had been too rash and had wrecked for a short while his own careful schemes to get the girl, and now had to resort to light scolding (where's the necklace, why are you avoiding me, don't get dragged into a public tiff...) and even deliberately put his own health at risk to pull her in again. She was like the stray cats that he fed, cute but independent, and he needed to charm and feed her to accept him better. But he knew about the hurdles that she could only suspect, and that meant two battlefronts.
This relationship is still quite like a (sweet) battlefield, even if she "lost the first skirmish" to regroup in a short retreat. At least her allies are not his enemies: it helps.
星动不廷 is a play on words which refers to heartbeats (xing星/star and xin心/heart are very close in pronunciation)…
also, btw, the Bvlgari black and gold wristwatch was heart-beating the seconds to midnight in ep22. One among those you posted pictures and prices for in : https://kisskh.at/photos/pdg7ND_3 🤭
RH kissing scenes were more aggressive. Jing Boran a Great kisser,he kissed seven everytime it looks like he was…
This is the beginning in ABAY. I expect MORE lol. Han Ting acted as if he had found the lollipop to his liking. Agree about Jing Boran and our dear little Seven... although for torrid romance, I thought The Forbidden Flower was even hotter 🤣
Can someone explain the new poster on the photo section: https://kisskh.at/photos/RBQeQY_3I extracted the…
星动不廷 is a play on words which refers to heartbeats (xing星/star and xin心/heart are very close in pronunciation) that are incessantly beating/moving, so I think you should get the meaning - not sure it is the next agreed CP name though ; fans are eagerly awaiting to chat online with the stars...
Have you watched 'falling into your smile'?Xu kai almost always plays the same super handsome, successful, rich,…
You've got something there 😂 Tong Yao was not quite in a previous relationship though : she was tasked by the other e-gamer champ to repair his broken relationship with Tong Yao's girl friend. But Mai Chenghuan in BCE did indeed have a previous bf who proved to be a wimp. Here in ABAY the previous bf just can't wrap his head around his gf becoming a businesswoman when he wanted her to become an ordinary homemaker and employee who could quit her job once kids would pop out. And XK did play the cold leader CEO whose heart just was waiting for the right person to ignite 😂 + he's got those irresistible side glances.... melting female audience's hearts and leaving the remainder gleefully chuckling, almost as much as when Dirty Harry quipped "Make My Day" when he drew the big gun.
From the drama, although not explicit, it looks like he got a Master of Sciences at the same university where Ji Xing got hers before she went to "pursue her graduate studies" (while Han Ting had left to go to Germany) + I suppose a PhD (LSM has theirs taught in English and I assume Han Ting got as fluent in English as in German) or at least an executive MBA from the Technical University of Munich where he was entrusted with the launch of Dongyang R&D subsidiary in Europe. Han Ting seems cognizant with postgraduate studies back home in China since he advised Ji Xing to attend some lectures with Professors where she could get insights on management as well as make contacts with professionals who came for same reasons. Hmm perhaps I'll have a look at the novel since it can be read here : https://whimsicalreads.com/series/as-beautiful-as-beijing/volume-1-starry-sky/chapter-2/

Whetting appetite for a future XK-ZLS pairing in drama!
