Wait so you fell in love with the guy. Instead of just telling him that and see where it goes from there, YOU…
Yeah, exactly, so it's you know, kind of JUST LIKE A YAOI OR SOMETHING, RIGHT? Rape is common in Yaoi.

Just re-watched this for the 3rd or 4th time. The movie still doesn't get any better no matter how many times…
You are claiming this movie hasn't gotten "any better" even though you watched it FOUR TIMES just to make sure. You are full of shit. You loved it and it's OK to admit it. No one watches a movie they don't like FOUR times. good god.

If you don't get why she was acting that way, then the movie isn't for you. Did you watch the whole thing?

I disagree one hundred percent about this movie, but at least you quit watching when you felt offended, unlike so many PC losers here who pretend to be offended and then watch the entire movie with wet panties.

Oh piss off. No one wants to read your Mary Sunshine review of a classic Yaoi-style story that you loved all the way to the end but want to get PC-cred by bitching about. Your masquerade isn't fooling anyone...not even you.

Again, you watched all the way to the end, right...? hahaha Pathetic.

I feel sorry for all the actor who had to go through the pain of participating of this movie. What an atrocious…
hahahaha...you are an asshole for leaving your SPOILER up. It doesn't matter that you are pretending to be the Virgin Mary leaving this comment, it is still a spoiler.

Also, you are completely full of crap. You really think you watched this entire movie because of your interest in classical music LOLOLOLOLOL...OMG...some people, you'd be one of them, are incredibly good at bullshitting themselves. You watched it because you enjoyed it. It made you experience human feelings and sexual excitement and amusement and all the other good stuff, but you can't bring yourself to admit it, ergo "I watched it for my love of classical music." hahahaha

Yeah, there's nowhere else to feed your love of classical music, is there? wow.

I wanted to see this happen, that's who. Along with thousands of other Yaoi and BL fans not as hung up as you. The perfect little, chaste production you describe as what this SHOULD have been either doesn't exist or does so under another name. I suggest you go look for it and leave the taboo-breaking, in-your-face Yaoi-loving live-action stuff to those of us who don't live in the dark ages.

WTH is your talk of where this "should" have been or what "should" have happened? Fuck that. This movie is exactly what it is and nothing else and it doesn' t apologize for that. Your job in response would be to STOP WATCHING IT. But I bet you didn't, did you...? You watched the entire thing, didn't you? Turned on, just a little...eh?

People like you are so afraid of sexual feelings that don't fit neatly within the covers of a PC-approved and Puritannical fairy-tail.

Was the rape really the conflict? Or was the conflict really Yuki's refusal to admit his attraction to the conductor? You're not forgetting his hot and beautiful after-dream, now are you? :D

Wow, I love this movie. "Even if he was a gay rapist, doesn't mean he's not good with music." hahahhaahahaha lol

This is such a powerful, straight-forward and unapologetic interpretation of a Yaoi and it does a great job of capturing that Yaoi vibe and spirit of combined sexual heat, melodrama, comedy and boundary-crossing that all good Yaoiis contain. I watched this over a year ago when I first found Asian gay-themed movies, series and BLs. I don't know, maybe I got hold of a censored copy (which all the SJWs here would approve of) but I sure don't remember that rape scene...but maybe I do, I don't know. I have watched so many hundreds of Asian gay live-action shows since then, I'm not sure. That scene is Japanese twisted/beautiful/violent/tender/ugly/funny artistic sensibility in a nutshell. Watching it, I was amazed, turned on, amused, appalled...all at the same time. Now THAT is challenging entertainment and I love the Japanese for it.

I can't wait to wade into comments below, which are sure to be full of hysterical SJWs desperately shrieking their moral outrage though damp, twisted panties, though I'm sure that outrage wasn't strong enough to prevent them watching this film to the end. lol

I don't hate it. I love it. And without the rape part there is no movie. That's not even hard to understand.

Side issue: Apparently, DAILYMOTION is trying to drive people away from their platform. I get they have to make money to keep stealing other people's work, lol, but when you already have to sit thru numerous 30-second commercials to watch free, is it wise to also make us constantly close out other pop-ups AND having the full-screen flip to small-screen over and over to make us see their static display ads? I'm going to try to hold off and not watch anything there anymore. The constant battle with pop-ups AND regular commercials totally ruins the viewing experience.

I actually PAY for Viki and it is annoying af that they can't be bothered to have their english subs ready to go when an episode is first put up. If DM has subs, why doesn't Viki?

To me the core of the story is that it is the SOUL of Hayeon Yeonseok loves, whether it is housed in a female OR male body makes no difference. I hope that is the message we will get in the end, though it would have to be a quick one. lol Do souls have a sexuality? That's the question for me, and my answer is "no, they do not." I wish the series had more time to explore Yeonseok's coming to grips with loving a man and having sex with a man even though clearly to this point he has never had any gay inclinations or desires. He has made that adjustment way to quickly to be believable. Same is true for a couple of other BLs featuring similar premises. As a gay man who spent way too long in the closet, I know it is a huge leap from f**king a woman to f**king a man, and had I been truly straight I have no idea if I COULD make that leap even knowing all the soul stuff involved. lol

I don't get why it is in any way offensive to gay people that a straight man like Yeonseok would struggle mightily with the idea of making love to, and loving, a MAN. Why WOULDN'T he struggle?

Isn't having memories of your past lives kind of the same as "coming up with reincarnation?" It was all just too quickly understood by the character with an immediate leap to assuming the guy doesn't love HIM as opposed to HIM/HER then. Really? All that in 45 seconds?

Maybe they should have had the character having little flashbacks all along, that all made sense when he saw the picture.

And if he isn't sure why or if he is loved for who he is now, is the natural thing to do really to make the worst assumption, run away, call the guy who you know holds feelings for you and make plans to relocate ABROAD, as Asian characters are always so eager to do?

Ugh. Episode 5 is a downturn in plot and quality. So many TIRED, thoroughly exhausted BL behaviorisms on display, it just lost me. I'll be back for 6 but not with any enthusiasm. It's just that thing where I've watched so much of it now that I force myself to watch the rest to satisfy some psychological need for closure...or something. lol

They needed to either not put little Jeon Chang Ha in scenes where he's expected to cry or work with him for a month or two on the art of crying convincingly as an actor. His technique is terrible. When he tries to look like he's crying he actually looks like he's going to sneeze while simultaneously worrying about something very intensely. I cringe for him. Pretty sure those "tears" an ep or two back on the bridge were out of an eye-dropper. And when he put two and two together after seeing that photograph (which is also ridiculous; who sees one photo like that and immediately thinks "Oh, so that's it...I am the reincarnated soul of the chick in the picture who looks like my sister and have had many lives before as a woman, yeah, that's clearly what happened...?" Aren't you more likely to think "gee, when did my new BF and my sister have their pictures taken in period costume? I'll go ask him."? , he looked like he was having a stroke in his left eye. Terrible direction. I feel badly for the actor.

Anyway, from there on this ep was BL-trope/cliche/lazy/unoriginal writing city. Now we all know what's going to happen next week., right down to the sequence of events. Little guy makes all kinds of wild assumptions about his lover's motivations, every one of them the worst-possible interpretation, followed by running off to study or work "abroad." It's laughable. And I do. Laugh.

Too bad. I was liking this.

Wow. You're nuts. lol I dropped this boring and politically-correct thing after a couple eps and only later watched…
The projection here is wild: YOU are the one who thinks creative fiction is obligated to teach lessons, not me. YOU are the one who watched TharnType in search of moral guidance, not me. YOU are the one in need of unspoken wisdom from Why R U?, not me.

I didn't learn ANY new lessons from TharnType and I wasn't looking for any. I saw an entertaining, sometimes dramatic, sometimes comedic take on college-situated characters, one gay and out, another gay and closeted, moving from in-your-face hostility in a closed environment to love and acceptance of each other. I saw the closeted one, with the tender help of his partner-to-be, come to terms with childhood sexual abuse and begin his healing. I saw a gut-wrenching series of scenes during which a deserted lover dealt with the apparent rejection by his partner and the emotional agony he felt as a result. I saw lots of good acting and some bad. I saw some great, loving and realistically sexual making out leading to full-on sex which was NOT shown, unfortunately, lol. I could gush a lot more about this series but this is enough. I think I was REMINDED of basic human feelings/desires that it is good to be reminded of from time to time, as humans are great forgetters.

Finally, I was REMINDED that the world is made of infinite shades of gray, all the way from pitch black to brilliant white and everything in between. I was REMINDED that black-and-white fantasists like you are delusional, dangerous and reappear under a new label in every generation. The rest of us need to always be on guard against the censorship and thought-policing your kind forever seeks to force upon us.

Did I learn anything "new?" No...there is nothing new under the sun.

Wow. You're nuts. lol I dropped this boring and politically-correct thing after a couple eps and only later watched…
Your snotty, ignorant arrogance, displayed in your naive pronouncements of what is "proper" and "wrong" and "should be" and "validate" and all your other profoundly pissy-pants SJW phrases, perfectly sums up your stupidity on this matter. These shows and no other show is obligated to be a teaching/instructional, step-by-step demonstration of any particular lesson that you think the rest of us need to be taught. We don't watch BLs for moral instructions which we can then apply to our own lives. NOBODY but you SJWs watches fictional, live-action shows expecting to see your own prudish, Puritannical, faddish attitudes reflected back to them. Your prissy and self-righteous perspective would be breath-taking if it weren't so juvenile.

My reference to the Bible above, as I state there also but which you are apparently to dense to understand, has nothing to do with its religious content. The fact remains that it contains amazingly graphic descriptions of non-PC behavior among its protagonists and they aren't always punished "properly" as you like to say, so you need to be waging a war on those who publish such filth and get those publication houses shut down asap.

Finally, your immaturity and close-mindedness is vividly reflected by your inability to grasp the long-established concept that a narrative in which a violator goes unpunished can be the most powerful possible demonstration of the horror and injustice with which the world often works. If every show were made by your A-B-C-D, then finally E and the punishment scenes where the lesson comes to its predictable conclusion, live-action fiction would be SO dull, lifeless and mundane as to be unwatchable. These are not Sunday-school lessons, they are creative fiction in which anything is fair game...ANYTHING. If you don't like it, don't watch it. But then you'd have to stop lurking in comment sections, whining about how the "proper" lessons were not taught to us poor, stupid masses who need your guidance; when in most cases the lesson would indeed have been taught but in a way which surpasses your childish inability to grasp.

You don't think religion has "anything to do with" the idiocy you are attempting to promulgate but the fact is you sound just like all religious zealots before you; you're just trying to avoid that connection. You are a prissy church-lady without the rolled-up, knee-high silk stockings and the hair-net. At least I assume you don't dress that way. Maybe you do.

its based off of a seinen manga which doenst have basic tropes you were expecting please do your research before…
Listen Amanda dear...I don't know why you are defending this mess so ardently, but please indicate to me since when has it been an expectation that before watching a show, movie, play or whatever, everyone in the audience must have read the book, play, manga, yaoi, whatever on which it is based. Thanks...I will wait while you do that. As often as not, having done so can lead to disappointment or frustration because the live-action version doesn't live up to the source material. The answer of course is that your snotty little suggestion has NEVER been expected of the audience. You are just attempting to make it seem so because this thing can't stand on its own two feet, as any live-action production should be able to do. Do my "research" indeed. Bite me.

Oh, and are you also suggesting people should never stop watching shows they don't like? Why isn't it enough for you that YOU like this thin gruel because your mom directed it orsomething? I will hate on that which I hate. If you don't like it, don't read my comments Very simple.

"basic tropes you were expecting..." lol Why are you so bitchy?

Why were you expecting a drama or a comedy?? its a food show!! its labeled that for a reason.
Spare me. Please point out where it is "labeled" as a "food show." Thanks, I'll wait. "Food" is listed as one of its genres along with three others and there is nothing in the tags to indicate this is simply a "food show" like you might see on the Cooking Channel. It would be a lot better if it WERE just a food show and not also pretending to be a half-ass dramady.
