Just binged the first 9 episodes. I believe this is the first BL I've watched where I am almost completely uninterested in the MC and their story. I like Torn well enough, but something about Tupfah puts me off and I'm not feeling the heat there ought to be from an MC.
So thank god for the two side couples. I LOVE all the angst, nervousness, fear, passion, love, more fear, mega-complications and taboo-breaking that all seems to be headed somewhere good at the end of a rough ride. And thank god for my FF function so I can skip the MC scenes and concentrate on what I'm interested in. My heart's been in my throat and my face a little hot from the heat of the two side couple scenes, and that's without anything explicit going on. Their longing and hesitancy is all it takes.
You know who unexpectedly has completely charmed me? Saen. That impish, happy, beaming grin and smile and his utter, unashamed sincerity along with that lanky/tall frame are perfect. He is perfect. And so is his Aii. I knew he'd be a stunner when the glasses came off.
Dome is well-cast as well. He looks like a Thai Richie Cunningham for those of you old enough to know who that is. lol He also has the best legs in the show. The scene with him and Vee slowly walking through that park about 30 yards apart and just staring at each other across that distance told us more than if they'd been making out. Wow, that was feature film-caliber movie-making right there. Vee has steadily grown on me throuhgout.
Looking forward to ep.10. Can't wait to see how all this goes down.
I wish the athletic practice and competition scenes were a lot more convincing. They production should have spent some money on a qualified sports consultant to make sure the guys look like they're doing what we're supposed to think they're doing.
All I needed was 22 minutes to tell me this is not my cup of tea. I was sucked in by the photo on the poster which is beautiful in a couple of ways, but omg, this is terrible. That horrible, bitchy mother and the screaming queen at the front desk of the gallery, along with the fact that almost all the characters to that point were petulant and rude is enough, thanks. The magical stuff is poorly done too. bye.
You're pathetic. Stop trolling you loser. Go watch your piece of crap that is Semantic Error and get the hell…
Thank you about the portrait. I wanted to indicate that perhaps at last he found the self-love he seemed to lack.
Well, all I can say about BB is that to summarize my opinion would be to take everything you wrote about it and turn in 180 degrees. I LIKE drama and misunderstandings and dark, twisted plots that expose the underbelly of who we all are at our worst, as well as at our best. I like everything that can be thought of to make a drama fascinating and even disturbing if that's the way it goes. Depends on the story. I enjoy stories about young gay/bi/otherwise men who struggle to accept themselves when someone comes along that flips their GAY button. Especially if in the end they DO find that self-acceptance. I don't expect all happy endings though, nor would I want that; life isn't all sunshine. But when I first found BL I saw more tragic endings in two weeks than I'd probably seen in 20 years of straight films and series. It was shocking.
Sexual assault/rape/stolen kisses all happen in life and are fair game for fictional writing. Just to include a plot point like that is not to endorse it, it is to acknowledge it. Sometimes bad people get away with bad things. Sometimes good people do bad things and get caught. I love all that messy stuff.
But Bad Buddy couldn't even put together a convincing fight scene and bus stops aren't made of rice paper and chopsticks that fall down when you bump into them. The whole thing was juvenile. But it is not my aim to convince you, merely share my opinion.
It's actually quite normal in many languages, including Chinese, to refer to oneself in third person. Depending…
It was used in a way I have heard it used in many BLs, as in "Mommy wants you to move to Shanghai so she can take care of you there." But Mommy is the person speaking and sitting across the table from the listener. I've wondered if it is a means of imparting more authority or gravitas to the speaker, or to appeal to their emotions.

I ADORE Taylor! :) I am surprised, given all your shared above, that you like Bad Buddy. That's all I will say on that.
People LOVE being "triggered" and "outraged" and being vicious and hateful in comments aimed directly at specific people, especially entertainers and celebs. The worst of the worst are the Koreans. Bat-shit crazy. It's my belief they have been the cause of multiple K-Pop and K-drama singer/actor suicides. I especially despise them for the part they played in the death of my beloved Jonghyun of SHINee. I will never "get over" that. Jonghyun-era SHINee is the only K-Pop band I pay any attention to. My MDL profile pic is a portrait I did of Jonghyun.
"disgusting." Oh poor Erin, having actually seen something dramatic, makes sure to let everyone know they are…
This comment tells everyone who reads it just exactly what a vicious, twisted little twerp you are. So I'm not going to report it, I'll just leave it here for everyone to consider.
The only rape was in your head. LZM is a big boy and at some point clearly consented. Do you lie in bed naked,…
Yes, but it's not as though we were shown the entirety of their love-making. The cuddling indicates to me that at some point LMZ went from resisting to consenting which is what I'd probably do in the same situation. Conflicting emotions of anger/sadness/love/longing all mixed together in that scene and the love won out. What pisses me off is not that the sex started out rough but that CY demanded it of LMZ in the first place, knowing that he was leaving immediately thereafter. I mean after years of a relationship building up to about 8.5 on a 10 scale and you finally crank it to 10...and then leave. Oh, and refuse to tell your lover where you are going, even after you are there, but oh it's OK because you know, "I'm always right beside you." What a crock of shit. That's what pisses me off.
Just ask yourself if he would be lying naked in bed with his rapist making sweet talk after being raped. Then…
Just the usual SJWs. They are the new-wave Puritans; prudish, sex-phobic, and censorious. They wish to control what the rest of us are allowed to see, just like all the blue-noses and panty-sniffers before them. Outrage is their life-blood so they love to come into comment sections and express how their tender sensibilities have been violated by what they just watched. But the thing is, they never stop watching, which tells you all you need to know about where they are coming from. :D
You condescending comment is typical of those who can't support their position, so they attempt to demean the other person by implying they have mental/emotional issues to work on. Cuts no ice with me.
Do you only interact with people you know on the Internet?
You do realise that in real life gay relationships are the same as straight ones and it is not all about kissing?…
Well, I DO think you should contact the Chinese BL industry, teeny as it is, and suggest they hire Erin as a consultant. He or she knows what is best for all of us.

FIFTH comment to me since you said you would stop. lol I'm beginning to think you are aroused and have dangerous sexual feelings for me.
"educative?" Is English your sixth language?
There is LOTS of homophobic shit in BLs. Many of the many ridiculous tragic endings come from a place of homophobia.
In a nutshell: I believe that attitudes such as yours toward the sexual content of BLs come from a place of homophobia. I think you are uneasy with gay sex and wish to control how it is presented and what is allowed. I do not like that nutshell, not at all.
