Title Golden Blood
Boat with his hair combed back is the answer to the meaning of life.

That said, it's fair to add that this ending was a horrendous abomination, a pulsating abortion of trope after trope after cliche after trope, horrible acting, horrible writing, horrible direction, omg, so fucking awful I'm almost in awe. There is not enough bandwidth on this web site to contain all the ways in which this final episode managed to be the absolute worst of all of them. Stupid, dumb, silly, illogical, unrealistic, unoriginal in every way. I hated it.

As much as I love Gun the actor, and as firmly as I hung in there with him throughout this really pretty fucking bad series, he needs to stick to comedic acting, at which he is really good. I am finally admitting and accepting that as a dramatic actor he embarrasses himself.

Oh, and the Gun/Boat kissing was pathetic, as was that sad attempt at a love/sex scene. Why was I not surprised to see that, as in many other BLs, apparently immediately after having sex, they both quickly got up and put their pants back on. lol Also, the cliche of Sun leaving Sky without a word while he was asleep was bad enough, but then who would gag down the dried up rice and congealed, cold egg he left behind as a final insult? So you eat that shit while you're also crying and choking on it? No.

His character is a giant douche, but Sky's dad is hot af.

If your 26 year-old son has a baby pink comforter on his bed, you can pretty much assume he's gay.
SO over toad-like, hateful, selfish Asian mothers who care only for their own feelings. Seriously, when I discovered BLs about 14 months ago I watched this and mom's cruel rejection made me terribly sad. Now it's kind of amusing to me, regardless of the specific show it's in. Although there WAS a tinge of melancholy here because this mom had been so caring and cute and funny the night Jia Ming stayed over and they got wasted together.
If you are going to travel randomly after breaking up with the man you love just for mom, and she won't be around anyway, why not take him with you?
Pretty sure Jia Ming put a private investigator on Ding Ding's tail, so to speak, to find out where he was so they could "accidentally" run into each other.
Also pretty sure Ding Ding and Jia Ming will have the toad-mom slinging dumplings with them in their street-side food stall in no time. Imagine how much fun they'd have.
Sub-zero low budget show with a heart of gold.

Even for everyone who likes slow pacing, wasn't that pushing it a bit? Again, it's not the pacing of individual…
I second much of what you say, but the pacing bugs me in exactly the opposite way: Individual scenes seem acted out in a tub of molasses while the show as a whole moving slowly doesn't bug me. But I just keep wondering if they don't know their lines well enough...lol. People talk OVER each other in fits and starts, not every conversation is a slow, deliberate, exchange of words, each with 30 seconds of silence between them.

I too have an icky feeling about what's ahead...that wave from Phob in the wheelchair struck me as something we might see as a heart-rending flashback (I know how you LOVE those in this show!) late in the series.

Totally agree about the non-development of their relationship and the absence of any sign of their new physical intimacy. I'd blame most of this on Mean. Who, by the way, is getting even hotter with age.

There were way too many flashbacks in this episode. A few of them made sense, but many felt like mere fillers.…
I feel that confusion too. I think they're lovers/partners now and Pat seemed to kind of hand Phob off to Nut, but that's not the vibe I get when Nut and Phob are together, at least in the last two episodes. The acting feels off and unnatural.

Although I don't like sad BL's, I really liked this episode. I still think 4 years is too long to go without reaching…
Interesting. I've been a fan of this show too,, but the last two eps have disappointed me. I go into why up above, so to summarize: sloooooooooooooooow line deliveries, bad fake crying, and I don't buy the "I left so you wouldn't have to suffer" stuff we get so often in BLs.

Totally agree about the character of Pat. First time I saw her on screen she grabbed my attention. She seems like a real person, as you said, not a ridiculous fag hag stereotype. I even like her hair style; there's something very real about that too.

I had hopes, but I can't even begin to put this couple in ITSAY or IPYTM territory.

Yeah, I don't know...a lot of major things went down the ep but it doesn't FEEL like much happened somehow. How many times do I have to whine about this before someone listens?: These endless pauses between characters' lines in dialogue has got to stop! wtf! It's like characters in BL World take some drug that slows down their synapses so everything takes three times as long as normal to process. I feel asleep three times during Nut's chat with Pat and then the doctor, who just happened to be his...what? high school buddy? and this doctor divulges another patient's medical history and condition to some dude on the phone? Ummm....maybe not. But back to the slow dialogue, it cropped up again with Nut and Phob in the bedroom and again on the beach...I want to start slapping people. Maybe they don't know their lines very well... It's not the pace of the overall show that bugs me, I like leisurely scenes, but something needs to be taking place or being said during those scenes. There was also a lot of stop-and-stare-and-hold-a-pose while camera pans out acting today. Mean's messing up.

Still not buying this old trope with people choosing, when some kind of crisis arises that should normally bring friends and family CLOSER together as a support network, to up and disappear because "I don't want to be a burden to anyone...boo hoo hoo..." So instead they break their loved ones' hearts by letting them wonder and worry for years what happened to them and if it was something they did that drove the person away. ALLOWING others to love and care for us when we are weak is itself an act of love. I know this is what Nut tried to get across, but man...Phob STILL doesn't seem to really get it. I wouldn't be surprised, if there's bad news ahead, if he pulled the same stunt a second time.

And I'm sorry, but I'd rather have actors not cry at all than fake-cry badly. Enough said.

The script was just kind of weird...when was this huge medical/decision/choice made and a date set? One minute the whole topic had just been raised...then all of a sudden we're at the hospital ready to start you-know-what...

I loved the show the first three eps. I feel like the last two have back-slid in a lot of ways.

Best line in series:

"See that? He's sick...he's pregnant with my baby!" lol

This is pretty bad, but the leads are handsome/good chemistry and funny. The deputy chairman is amazingly handsome.

So I guess we're supposed to to feel sorry for So Hee now.Sorry, not so fast. Her apology to Daon and Taekyung…
It took a lot of courage and humility to apologize as So Hee did. I think MOST people would not do so in similar circumstances. So though I've loathed her until this episode, I DID feel empathy. She is human like the rest of us, she has apologized, will be atoning by leaving Daon alone until he's ready for a friendship, and is as deserving of redemption as anyone else.

Nice description. Now that you say that in your first sentence, I'm rethinking that near-ending and it WOULD have made sense for him to somehow FORCE her off the cycle and go into the waves on his own. I mean, you're right, why would he want her to die for what HE did? She seemed happy to go, which is really pathetic as tragedies go, but yeah, this seems selfish on the detective's part. On another note, I was not sorry to see that bitch from the nightclub take a knife at the end. Not that she deserved death for being a bitch I suppose, but come on...she was MEAN. lol GREAT casting...she had the transgender look down.

I loved it as well. Only caveat I can think of off the top of my head: The three ____________ in the military were WAY over the top, like circus monsters, not actual humans which made them LESS frightening to me than they might otherwise have been.

Wow, I loved this flick. Had never heard of it until last night when I saw it on someone's list here. I'm not big on murder mysteries or police procedurals but this had me hooked pretty quickly. I had no idea the ending, or almost-ending, is where we were headed. Excellent visual effects; grisly knife murders never looked so beautiful.

OK...what happened to the scene at the end of episode 13 when SW was about to confess to TK after the whole text messages thing, then Daon dialed TK's phone and it rang and...that was the end. Did I miss something? This week the plot had moved as if that never happened. Help!

Don't worry about it...no apology needed. My feelings aren't that delicate. :D I just like to be able to muse and wonder and speculate about things without people jumping down my throat like they do in K-Pop threads. I follow ONE K-Pop group, but I am not sufficiently worshipful and deferential for many crazy Shawols. :D

Isn't this AT LEAST the second time SW has almost confessed...? I just got the feeling near the end of their date when TK went on and on about worrying about Daon and thinking about Daon, that maybe SW was getting a little sick of that shit. Or at least feeling like "what's the point? He's obviously hot for Daon."

Thanks for asking in a nice way. The commenter above freaked out and went on the warpath. lol So please read my reply to them just above this. My comment is a speculation spurred by a vibe I got from SW toward the end of the "date." And I may well be way off the mark. IT WAS A QUESTION, PEOPLE! lol

I don't pursue social media and actor interviews. I've learned they are often as misleading as they are informative, plus I don't have time and I'm not a person who wants to know ahead of time what's going to happen in a show.

I am well aware of your long list of things SW DID for and toward TK. I think he definitely likes him very much as a friend and possibly as a lover...which is why I FRAMED MY COMMENT AS A QUESTION, NOT A STATEMENT. I of course don't know what's going on yet and you don't either, but I just got this vibe by the end of their "date" and especially when SW once AGAIN bailed on confessing to TK, that he was having doubts about his feelings for him. He had just once again had to listen to TK talk about how much he likes and misses Daon. Maybe he's feeling it's Daon that TK likes and there's nothing he can do about that, so he might as well consider stepping out of the way.

As I said, this is a QUESTION I posed as a speculation, not an announcement of FACT. Calm down and read better.
