I agree with you, but I dropped it at ep 7... I just found out Joe ends up with Ming and thought why bother? Ming…
But that’s bl. You will be disappointed if you care even a little about the plot and the characters. I’ve come to understand the goal of bl stories is for the main characters to end up together whether or not it makes sense for them to be together it doesn’t matter at all. 😂 That’s why I stopped watching Thai bl, I just read manhwa s now. They’ve got more interesting stories there.
"he NC scenes. I don't really mind s*x scenes in general but I felt like they were making them just for the sake of it and I hate that kind of thinking. Phaya just woke up after almost being dead, he's not even recovered, and the only thing that he does is to go to Tharn's flat and sleep with him. What a great mind... Also, the "good bye" s*x scene they have before Tharn disappears was so freaking long that I had to skip most of it. It lasted more than 6 minutes and I wouldn't have complained that much if it was animated but nothing happened, it was boring!! They were simply kissing gently for 1 or 2 minutes before changing position... Also, I know they have to censor some of the scenes but instead of blurring the a**es of the actors, they could've just not shot below the waist because the blur was a bit disturbing..."
This why I couldn't watch past episode 4. From the beginning I felt like their moments were forced, they didnt feel natural.
In the first few episodes, Akk and Ayan kept meeting the same exact way, they kept reusing so much of the writing, that their conversations were just going in circles the whole entire first 3 episodes.
Agreed 👍 I could basically summarize their interactions this way:
Ayan: why are you following? Akk: You are a new student, I find you suspicious. Ayan: well I think you are cute, I want to kiss you…
Watch on, Sand had more sad lines in store for you. I binged the show yesterday so had to ffw many scenes except for the scenes with Sand and Ray just the two of them of course. When you do complete the series and happen to update your review adding more lines from Sand, I hope I can get a notification of the update.
You nailed it with this point: If the idea was to make homosexual relationships seem toxic, promiscuous and hedonistic (selfish to a certain extent), then this drama has certainly achieved that.
Esp this part “ There's also a huge lack of self-preservation instincts in an era that was even less accepting of queer relationships, which is unbelievable enough to pull me out of the fantasy they are spinning.” and Jom being just meh 🫤.
“I could not take Sky's traumatic scenes seriously, it was painful to watch and not in the way they intended. Whenever he cried I had to look away bc of the face he was making.”
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 for real , I was like I don’t wanna be mean but yeah I can’t sympathize with you when you make that face. The crying not crying scenes were the worst for me. That part when Pai found Sky’s notebook and was reading it while Sky was crying n trying to make him stop, I did find that part so painful to watch 😅.
I agree with you. This was a bit painful to watch especially the first 8 episodes. I’ve not seen a character has dumb as Rain, he looked lost 90% of the time 😅. I was waiting for parts of the second couple, I didn’t read the book so had no idea what was going to happen. And then the one stand happened and I was what just happened? Anyways, I stopped expecting anything to make sense in bl 😂.
“what bugged me the most was the sudden infantilisation of sky. “ yeeess someone has said it for me, I was like what happened to Sky? I’m like maybe it’s the trauma and what not but why
This drama is the reason why I fear watching good Chinese dramas. I can’t move on. It’s so bad. I spend days watching clips, reading fan fictions, comments; anything about them.
Reviews like yours is the reason I can watch some really bad bls with hope that I will at least find some nice review shitng on it. I couldn’t even finish the first episode.
Omg thank you. I also thought after escaping from woke, preachy, western series I would be safe with kdrama. But this show has just shown me how deluded I was. It seems it’s everywhere. 😭 😭
I’m a woman and I totally agree with you. This series was too crappy that I can even say I so disgusted by it. I dropped it mid Ep 4 I just couldn’t take it anymore.
I thought I was the only who found this bl boring. 🥱
I’ve dropped it twice now, couldn’t t get past ep 4.

Haha had the same questions. Maybe because Mew was a virgin (eye roll) 🤣
I binged this yesterday and this was exactly how I felt most of the time haha 😂

Exactly!!
