I also feel like the actors did an incredible job being what used to be one my favorite manhwas to life.

I do agree with a lot of points you’ve made. I certainly do have a love n hate relationship with this one because I read the manhwa first, and I was just excited to see the adaptation. To be fair, I didn’t finish the manhwa because I could see clearly the flaws you mentioned especially in the last chapters of the manhwa.

I’m not done watching yet so I didn’t finish your review because I plan to finish it mainly because I rarely drop Chinese bls because I love the Chinese language
Otherwise I do agree with you, Lu FENG is a psychotic bitch who should have been behind bars the moment he killed that guy in ep 2. I knew he was trouble from the very beginning so I don’t understand why people say he’s a green flag turned black
Like dude didn’t respect Xiao Cheng’s boundary, even their first together he forced him, Xiaocheng wasn’t ready to be intimate with him but Lu FENG didn’t care. Not to mention all other fyvked up stuff he’s done up to now. I’m on ep 7. I wasn’t too shocked because this story is almost the same as the manhwa “Full circle”

Yeah I think for most bls even manhwas is for the main couple to end up together. It doesn’t matter if they are toxic or if it’s logical. I can stand manhwas at least because there are some things I can still like even if the plot isn’t that great and the couple is toxic.
I also took a break from watching bls altogether. I just reread some of my favourite manhwas. I figured promoting toxicity is every genre anyways so it’s hard to find stuff I enjoy 90% of the time

It took me some time to actually watch the last episode(I had already read spoilers from the novel).
I couldn’t fathom why after everything they had to still end up together. No way even thought it’s fiction a victim would chose to be his abuser. It’s only been 3 years since the said abuse, are you telling me the mc is over it? Has no ptsd??? I really loved the story and the mc but the ending ruined it for me

When it comes to romance I only watch bl (we not anymore, I read bl manhwas now). I did like till the end of the moon but dropped it after they started that dream arc. Eternal love if it’s the one where the fl transmigrates into an ancient world then it’s one who is rewatch. I’ve not watched the others, was considering watching First frost
