Nonono I mean I was busy watching Lost in the Shadows and thinking abt the case, then I would watch a few eps of JoL2 but my mind would be split between JoL2 @ LitS’s theories 🤣 hence I lost track of which ep. I stopped at last night. Anyway I’ve reached the wedding! I missed Uncle Wuzhu but I’m also worried.

My theory is Bian Jie is really dead. He escaped from Jin Manfu’s car trunk but JMF caught up with him and probably smashed his head with the shovel killing him and then he buried BJ in the grave he just dug.

Yup I think Du Yi killed Wang Shuai and threatened to implicate Bian Jie, forcing him to steal money & run away with him. That’s why he was outside the house waiting for Bian Jie. He might even be the one who placed the knife into Bian Jie’s bag. BUT there are moments when I think that Du Yi might be innocent & it’s only the drama trying to mislead us.

No I don’t think it’s to show that Wang Shitu can recognize his son when he sees him. I think it’s to show how desperate he is in the search of his son and how heartbroken he is every time he gets his hopes up only to be utterly disappointed. I don’t think that’s the only time he went through that roller-coaster of emotions so when Qin Yong remarked to him that the timing of Xiao Qi getting picked up by Qing Ye and Doudou’s disappearance are similar, he didn’t dare to hope. You could see he’s trying to stay calm and suppress his own thoughts.
