I’m so annoyed that SEA region always gets a different treatment from WeTV every time a popular drama gets released although we subscribe just the same as ppl from other regions. I’m already a subscriber of WeTV. Why do I have pay extra to subscribe to some other platform that I don’t use?

Very good drama. Loved every episode.

*Takes a deep breath* I’m ready for the intensity.

Finally finished the drama. Overall it’s not bad except 2 points.
1. It could be shorter and the drama would be tighter.
2. I’m a bit disappointed that Panyue started out being so interesting but he ended up becoming ‘psychic Panyue’ 🙄
Still, I’ve enjoyed this drama 👍

I've finished Ep 19 and will start Ep 20 today.

Can't wait for that day to come! But I have a long way to go 😅

Both are good imo. I finished War of Faith and for this drama I’m still on Ep 19. Both dramas although set in the same era and have similar espionage/Communist plots, the focus is very different. WoF focuses on banking, mentor-mentee relationship. SS focuses on friendship & the collective power of ordinary ppl.

2 ppl I really hate - Wei Daiqing & that Feng policeman. 🤬

Abt Ep 37, yeah I don’t like those b&w flashback scenes now. I used to like it at the beginning of the drama but as they progressed, I find them confusing and fragmented. They expect us to be like Panyue, to be able to guess what happened just like that? 😅

Yeah but now I’m on FOMO mode 🤣 coz I saw on Weibo that the eps all released and ended, and you have finished too but I’m still stuck at 37 with no new eps today.

Wait! Did you pay to watch all the last eps or there’s something wrong with my iQiyi app? I only have it until Ep 37!

Yup I believe that’s what happened. But 🤣 again Panyue knew it already.

How did he suddenly thought of checking his room for a listening bug?! There was NO indication of his conversations being heard elsewhere 🤷‍♀️. I think the drama at this point just wanted to keep the suspense going by having someone close on Zhuowen’s tail.

Yeah but the way and speed he knew they switched cars and where it goes to is too unbelievable. Have you watched today’s ep? I wanna mention another of Panyue’s superpower 🤣

Argh! Today’s eps are a bit of a stretch. Panyue cannot be THAT smart to guess everything correctly.

I think his relationship status would be “It’s complicated” 🤣 He does care abt Guanxue I think, but he doesn’t allow himself to go any deeper with her coz their relationship is all based on lies & they have a huge ideology gap.

I think the rating here is affected by antis and ppl who dislike Republican Era espionage dramas.
