Tae is pretty, so it's obvious that Ice would be pretty, but I thought it'd be impossible for Ice to get any prettier - he was cute throughout this episode, probably the cutest I've seen him with Saint throughout the series - but he did!
At the very end of the episode, Ice seems ethereal, untouchable, much prettier than he was throughout the entire series. He was glowing.
This beauty was a visual storytelling feast for the eyes. It's Ice arriving at his peace finally. There's no more stops for him to make. He has family, he has Saint, he is complete and Tae pulled it off magnificently.
I love that in the final moments I see Ice, the camera lets him be beautiful without any burden. He seems lighter, his features look gentler, his smile brighter, his beautiful skin is aglow next to Saint's, and his eyes are not guarded anymore. His body language is open, fluid, and unflinching throughout the episode mapping the journey that he's been on.
Ice is beautiful in the final scene because he's at rest, he's chosen, he's settled and there's no more fear. Excuse me while I go cry in the corner while 'Complete Mess' by 5sos play softly in the background to the last scene because that song totally suits the mood:
🎶 Caught up in heaven. But your heaven ain't the same. And I've never been a saint, have I 🎶
See, it even mentions Saint! 😂
Characters who learn to live again are unforgettable and I've become so fond of Ice. What I love about Ice is that he wasn't no damsel in distress story and Prince Saint didn't save him. Saint stood by him while he found his footing.
I think I've paid too much attention to Tae throughout the series, but that was the point when I first started watching anyway. Hopefully I'll get to see more of Tae (& JaTae) in the future.
Time to say goodbye to SaintIce - and KitSeen - today. I don't wanna! 😔 I got comfortable waiting for JaTae every week that I forgot I had to say adieu at some point.
Yes! DewJaime next ... although I don't mind DewKucci because they look so cute together. And AJ be looking like a snack with his hair like that! Can't wait!
Describes me perfectly as well in my current chaotic everyday life. 😂 I need that t-shirt like yesterday!
OUI! That's one of my biggest pet peeve and as an introvert, too. Like, I'm having a conversation with you, not the person next to you. The anxiety!
Whatever that is, I'm seated!
